Manaslu Clothing (manasluclo.com) is a young alpine performance brand from Northern Germany. We design apparel and equipment for mountaineering, high altitude touring and the long preparation that comes before a serious summit. Manaslu was founded in 2023, far from any mountain. The first problem we ran into as beginners was simple: we could not trust the gear we had bought. Jackets were either too expensive or did not deliver when the weather turned. So we started building the pieces we wanted to rely on ourselves, learning from mentors and friends who live in the mountains. Our flagship is the Summit Shell, a three layer alpine hardshell with a Sympatex membrane. It is PFAS-free, rated above 45,000 mm water column with an RET below 8, weighs under 500 g and has RECCO integrated. The Summit Shell is built to last for many years of real use. Around it we make the pieces that get you there: the Hinoko merino baselayer, the Larkya merino beanie, merino hiking socks, the Q-RI shirt collection and the Taral running vest for training days in the valley. We sell in limited drops rather than endless seasons. Our products are designed in Germany, use a German Sympatex membrane and ship from our warehouse in Germany. Orders go worldwide, with most of our customers in Germany, the United Kingdom, Austria, Switzerland and the United States. Our long term goal is Manaslu 2028: climbing the 8,163 m mountain we are named after, in our own equipment. Customers who join the Summit Club climb with us along the way. Meine Erfahrung mit Produkten
sehr korrekte Jungs! die qualität der Klamotten ist echt top und mitlerweile auch sehr schnell mit der lieferung. DIe preise sind im Verglich zu anderen Marken mit einer ähnlichen qualiät recht niedrig und mehr als fair.
ich finde die geschichte von manaslu wirklich super und sehr inspirirend. auf social media geben sie einen wirklich guiten Beitrag um die Jugend wieder vom handy weg zu bekommen.
es ist sehr unfair zu sehen wie viele menschen die jungs haten weil die denken es wird drop shipping betrieben, jedoch wenn man einmal ein produkt, wie tshirt, hoodie, baselayer oder Jacke in der Hand hält merkt man sofort wie viel arbeit da drinne steckt.
die Gründer testen ihr Produkte im extremst fall auf den Bergen selbst und man merkt das die Produkte gut überabeitet sind sehr gut verarbeitet sind.

Betrugsverdacht
Ware (Jacke) wurde nach 8 Monaten geliefert. Zuvor Hinhaltetaktik, mit immer neuen Ausreden, was noch verbessert wird. Als die Jacke kam, war sie viel zu klein und von minderer Qualität. Es erfolgte nach Rücksprache eine Rücksendung auf meine Kosten. Folgend nur noch hingehalten und keine Rückerstattung. Inzwischen auch keine Reaktion mehr auf E-Mails. Betrugsverdacht! Leider hilft der Paypal Käuferschutz auch nicht, da Rückerstattung nur nach Meldung innerhalb von 180 Tagen nach Zahlung. Ohne Worte.

Hallo, Sie haben mit jedem Punkt recht. Die Jacke kam viel zu spät, und die Erstattung nach Ihrer Rücksendung hat dann noch einmal Wochen gedauert, obwohl sie innerhalb von Tagen hätte laufen müssen. Das lag an uns, in einer Zeit, in der bei uns einiges liegen geblieben ist. Die Rückzahlung ist inzwischen angekommen, das haben Sie uns am 11. September bestätigt. Danke für Ihre Geduld, und es tut uns leid, dass Sie sich überhaupt darum kümmern mussten.

If you do enough research you will realise that all of their "self designed" productswere NOT designed, or even manufactured by them, they just buy everything from alibaba (low quality) and resell for 10x the price, SCAM, i myself bought some stuff and it was TERRIBLE

Bei der Summit Shell gab es Verzögerungen in der Manufaktur, und wir haben in dieser Zeit noch einige Dinge an der Jacke angepasst und verbessert, bevor sie raus durfte. Eine davon war ein kostenloses Upgrade für alle Presale-Kunden: Jede Jacke bekam einen integrierten RECCO-Rettungsreflektor, ohne Aufpreis. Das erklärt die Wartezeit, entschuldigt sie aber nicht. Bad customer support, bad beanie.
Bought a beanie from them last year (and a bad quality beanie as well). Got hit with import tax it arrived, which made the product go from 42 euro to 59 euro. On their website it says that tax was included next to the price of the beanie. Sent them an e-mail about getting hit with import tax, and this was the start of their e-mail:
Hey, hier ist deine fertige Antwort an sie – freundlich, professionell, 100 % nachvollziehbar, und erklärt das Thema so, dass sie es versteht, ohne dass es nach einer Ausrede klingt.
Ich halte den Ton warm, transparent und auf Augenhöhe.

And the reply you got was sloppy: a draft note was pasted in that should never have reached you. That is embarrassing, and we are sorry. Problems with ordering, their products found on alibaba, and most of their advertisements are generated with AI? Sad to see that these boys decided to profit of young people within a sport where safety is really important. Also they are claiming that they designed it in Germany, but how? They neither have the experience or the resources to design products like this themselves, and they're not even manufacturing their clothing themselves either... How can they justify these false claims? One single time I saw a design for ice axe on their instagram page, but it was just an AI-generated image with fake measurements and no readable text? There are other trusted brands out there, ran by people with experience, who even sell their items at a lower price; so why would anyone buy from this company and take the risk of your product not even arriving?

I ordered a SummitShell and really hoped that it would arrive in time. But because it was a pre-sale (and the only they ever did, I believe), I was not so disappointed. When I asked them, they emailed me back straight away and promised me to include a free RECCO chip and some free socks, which held up. I’m more than happy about the jacket now and that I can wear it to all the Summits which are coming. Only disappointing fact, were the delays, but that’s it. I’m looking forward to more of them.

We ordered a jacket from Manaslu for our son's Christmas present in December 2025 knowing it wouldn't arrive until after the new year. It was so expensive, so it was the ONLY present he got from us as we dont have a lot of money and have to save all year for Christmas presents for our children. It is now July, 2026 and haven't received our purchase. After us reaching out several months ago, we were told that production was finally complete! Great! We can finally give our son his long awaited present! No! It still hasent arrived. This company is a scam! DO NOT order from them! Find a reputable mounterneering gear company, Manaslu is not it! If I could rate it 0 stars, I would.
