Expectations managed but exceeded
I first saw a review of MacsUk on you tube and whilst we had a couple of local companies we could have used I liked the way he consulted rather than sold to the couple doing the review.
I can honestly say he dealt with us in exactly the same manner, giving us various options for our electrical upgrade and a Wi-Fi solution.
Neither were the most expensive options just the right ones for us.
Having collected our van knowing it needed to be returned to be finished our diesel tank had a leak, they discovered the problem (mice or rats chewing a hole into it) meaning the tank needed replacing.
Despite them being extremely busy they said they would resolve all the outstanding issues so we could go on our planned.
They will manage your expectations but they will not disappoint, but exceed your expectations.
Many thanks to both Jonathan and Steve it was a pleasure doing business and we will return!

Keith. Thank you for such an honest and objective review. We are really grateful for customers such as yourselves saying it as it is and not flowering things up! As you say we try to be straight talking and honest about the options available to customers and every time, it’s not what we think people need but actually what the lifestyle choice and travelling style of our customers that is the most important. In your case with your lovely van it was clear that you didn’t need certain items that many others would have thought you did! You just wanted a Van that could go off grid using 12 V and have the whole thing working without needing to engage with lots of button pressing and questions about what systems were doing what. Having said that there were a few nuances that we had to come to terms with as you know… The dual supply and the switched charge relay that continues to give us weird and wonderful readings… But we are getting there and as you are now off grid this weekend using your 628ah power battery and on board 12v systems to sustain you… Life is good! Thank you for taking the time to write a review and you are always welcome to drop us a line and pose the questions to us that we love to receive! Hopefully we will continue to be your go to Motorhome folk and facilitate your ongoing journey and adventures in your van. Thank you again and safe travels.

It was great to have that brief exchange with you the other day whilst you were abroad confirming that everything was working as intended and expected. I trust that the levellers will give you more stability when you’re on site and your fancy New Victron 3k inverter will also take away some of the concerns and stress that you might have experienced previously. Namely 360 camera/laser lights front & rear/levelling legs/larger vehicle battery/charge master
He explained everything that he had done in plain language. Nothing was to much trouble.
Whilst away in Southern France the van developed a slight fault unrelated to the work that had been done, although van covered on warranty a quick call to Jonathan allowed the journey to continue whilst trying without success with the vehicle (cab) main warranty being able to assist (will be sorted in Uk)
On site we attempted to rectify the issues and with a video call to Jonathan to give guidance and confidence, however without success. But we were to see the superb work that Jonathan had done on the van.
Without doubt this service and customer assistance is above and beyond.

Journey has been longer than it really has been… From that first meeting on the roadside to electrical Build with so many extras. It was a real pleasure to work on your Van.
Sometimes it feels like vans just want to fight you fight you but in your case it was a complete pleasure to work with her. To get the heating sorted and to also sort out your batteries and all the other bits and bobs including the levelling… It was our pleasure to see her roll out of the workshop ready to rock ‘n’ roll for your next journey. We look forward to seeing you in the near future and if there is anything we can do for you, you know that we are only on the end of the phone. Stay safe and protect that thin blue line.!!
Motorhome Repairs
We recently stayed overnight at Jonathan’s Park Farm parking area before travelling to Harwich to catch the ferry to the Hook of Holland. During our stay, we mentioned that we were having a few issues with some of our cabinet door catches, and only then discovered that Jonathan also runs a motorhome and caravan business.
Jonathan kindly invited us to drop by his workshop the following day so he could take a look. Because we had a Ford warranty recall appointment the next day, we were delayed and didn’t get there until late afternoon. Even so, Jonathan was still there working on another motorhome and, to our surprise, stopped what he was doing to fix our cabinet door catches straight away.
I also mentioned that we were having problems with the front over-cab seal, which was already due to be repaired under warranty. Jonathan generously offered to apply a temporary seal to help prevent any further damage while we were away travelling.
We were extremely grateful for the time, care and kindness Jonathan showed us. His willingness to help at short notice made a real difference to our trip. He is clearly very knowledgeable about motorhome systems and upgrades, and we would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Incredible Service As Always
We have used Jonathan at MACSUK for a significant amount of work on our motorhome including some extensive upgrades to our off grid capability.
Whilst in Italy today, I had failed to change an inverter setting and it resulted in a fuse for the van blowing and us losing habitation power.
I rang Jonathan from Italy and he identified the problem immediately and talked me through how to repair the 300 amp mega-fuse that had blown. (Always carry spares!!) I popped the new fuse in and Jonathan checked all my motorhome systems remotely to ensure all was up and running again. He also carried out some remote upgrades to the UI and we were able to carry on our European adventure.
If you have work done by Jonathan at MACSUK you literally 'join' his motorhome family and he is always there to help and support wherever you are in the world - he told us that from Day 1.
We have had upgrades, modifications, servicing and MOT from MACSUK on our Fiat based 2021 A Class Mobilvetta motorhome all of them filmed on our You Tube channel 'Motorhoming Adventures' - take a look and see the quality of work!!
This is exactly why we used, and continue to use, MACSUK for all our motorhome needs.

When we came of the boat from the…
When we came of the boat from the netherlands 27 april on our way to the parkfornight spot near Great Bromley it started to rain and then my windscreen ipers stopped working . Next morning on the pfn spot we met Jonathan and he told us he owns a camper garage so he looked to the problem and discover that the windscreen wiper moter was broken and he looked every where in England to find the right windscreen wiper moter for a dutch car (that was not easy to find) finally Jonathan could order one and so he could fix our camper . We where very happy and lucky we met Jonathan because he nows excacly what he is doing and is a very nice person . So many, many thanks from us. Whenever you have a problem with your camper , i say go to the camper garage from Jonathan and he will fix any problem . Again man thanks and kind regards.

Jonathan not only discovered that a screeching multibelt did not mean just tightening it, but saw at once that the alternator had not been fastened properly. Driving on would very likely have meant the end of our engine (and our holiday). I am very grateful that he and his mate Steve fixed this this, on the spot.

I contacted Jonathan for help as I was travelling to Europe and my campervan had a very poor lead/acid leisure battery system since new. MACSUK carried out an exceptional installation of a new Lithium fogster battery and Victron charger. An amazing job and everything is well hidden as if nothing happened. The performance is incredible. I could be off grid for up to 5 days plus. Jonathan is incredibly knowledgeable, a true professional, and knows so much I did not know ! A few more recommended tweaks to be done which will make it even more of a robust system. Thank you so much for fitting in me in at short notice - it really has made such a significant difference. Had a Victron system installed along with a dual rear-view camera and solar panel upgrade, and I can honestly say this is not a DIY job — it should only be done by a professional. That’s exactly why I chose Jonathan. His knowledge is on another level compared to others in the trade, and his workmanship is absolutely top class.
When you pick up your motorhome, it’s not just a case of “here are your keys, see you later.” Jonathan takes the time to walk you through the entire system, shows you how everything works, and even pairs it all to your phone. On top of that, if you ever have an issue, he can dial in remotely and see what’s going on — which is a huge reassurance.
It’s also worth mentioning that this kind of setup involves a lot of equipment, so I expected to lose some storage space. But thanks to the custom work carried out, there’s been no noticeable loss at all — another 5-star aspect of the job.
We’ll definitely be going back after our tour next month. Now we know we can comfortably live off-grid thanks to this incredible upgrade, we’re planning to have our lights upgraded and a full graphics makeover done too.

For the first time we fitted almost every major internal upgrade to a Van and with your understanding and agreement we were able to find places to fit the equipment that hitherto have been untried! The placement of that 628 amp hour battery, the inverter, hydraulic pump, you name it we had it somewhere in your van! Now for the adventures and this is where life really starts! Gliderite semi air suspension. Wow… just picked up my Adamo from MACSUK (macsuk.org) based near Colchester who are an authorised distributer and fitter of the product. And what a difference it makes to the handling and the motorhome.
Jonathan, the owner of Macs, is very proud of his company and his customer service is fantastic. Picking the motorhome up a little earlier, he took the time to explain the fitting process and show it working. Oh, and Jonathan fitted a 300ah(yes300) lithium battery for good measure plus associated gubbins. The fitment of both products looks better than original!
Thanks Jonathan, for looking after Bobbi and doing such an amazing job for me.
I couldn’t recommend mascuk any more highly. If you’re based in Essex, East Anglia or the Southeast, and are looking for upgrades, give Jonathan a call, you won’t be disappointed.

Very thorough habitation service carried out on my Autotrail Deleware, offering advice on future repairs along with a couple of more urgent ones, happy to spend time explaining what he had done and what he recommended.
Will definitely use again and will recommend to my leisure vehicle owning friends and family.

I found out about Jonathan and his team while looking for motor home upgrades on YouTube, the reviews I found were overwhelmingly positive about their work, so I booked in for the upgrades I needed.
I had a 300ah Fogstar lithium installed with the required B2B charger, a Max air fan and always on reversing and rear view cameras. While the van was in the workshop, Jonathan suggested that I had space on the roof to add loads more solar, so I went for it! This has now given us so much more scope to get off grid. The workmanship and service are absolutely brilliant. Thank you Jonathan and team, now working on my next upgrades!!

I wouldn’t go anywhere else with my pride and joy.
I travelled over to the UK after a few discussions on the phone with Jonathan and getting great advice. Also having read reviews of others who had him upgrade or fix their Motorhomes I knew it was a no brainer. Jonathan Baldwin Macsuk and Steve did a great job upgrading my K-y 80. Levellers installed, 300ah Lithium batteries and all the Victron accessories to make it all work smartly, replaced front DRL, rear high brake light, added spare wheel carrier and braced the chassis where it usually cracks (mine was ok). Better be safe than sorry. Also fitted new roof extractor in the toilet. The workmanship and neatness was top class. They really know the Mobilvetta Make of Motorhome inside out. As my works needed 5 days he was so good to give me a courtesy car. I’ll be back again to have a few more items added. Top class. 👏👏👏🤛

What a wonderful experience with MACSUK! For our second visit for our motorhome upgrades. Friendly, professional advice, with great attention to detail and quality workmanship. On time and to budget!
Nothing was ever too much trouble, even when we were indecisive! Definitely going the extra mile to achieve total customer service satisfaction.

I have to say that your Build was quite possibly the biggest Build we’ve ever done… With all of the extras and the add-ons and all of those quirky little additions that you requested… It really is a home from home and will deliver you the absolute pinnacle of Motorhome experience, both off grid and on grid. We are delighted that you love the HPC LEVELLING. It is without doubt one of the market leaders available today. In addition the flexibility that you allowed us to manipulate your van to give you the best possible outcome without losing space was a true test of your trust and our confidence. Thank you for that opportunity. We look forward to serving you in the future with maintenance and the occasional additional changes that you might wish to bring about in your beautiful Motorhome.
