Changing my car in the renewal period is not the best as I discovered , however once I got through to the right person my stress was relieved almost immediately.

Unbelievably bad communications and customer service
Purchased car insurance with them online. Had an email through with policy number thanking me etc etc. Few days later they left a phone message to ring them which i did. Customer rep said couldnt find issue but they had been having issues with new policies registering and being delayed by a few days. I explicitly said is that all it is as i dont want to find in a few weeks time i have no car insurance, dont worry they said will all be fine. So today insurance expires i cant log on as lloyds says i dont exist and checking my bank statement they took my payment then subsequently paid it back without telling me. At no point have they contacted me to say the policy has been cancelled and i could have started driving today not knowing i had no cover. I am absolutely furious.
Update- i managed to speak to someone in person today and they have honoured the original quote. My complaint is them not telling me there was an issue in the first place so i could contact them and resolve it rather than the possibility of driving unintentionally with no insurance.

I have given you a five star rating
I have given you a five star rating, firstly, because when obtaining insurance from yourselves, it was fairly straightforward and reasonably simple, but was also quite speedy. Other companies I had been with have caused me major pain and unbelievable stress. Another good point is that it was very simple to download an insurance certificate, as with some other companies, it is impossible to download the proof that you actually have a policy. When using a different company, when you require the certificate, they request you to supply them with your email address. You send them the email address, and I tell you that email address, it doesn't exist, even though they are sending the information to that email address (how stupid and how incompetent).
A very easy way on in making a customer change their mind. Simplicity and accuracy is the best policy.
