The product itself is decent, but the billing practices are confusing and concerning. Most companies send invoices in advance, but LiveChat processes the payment first and only sends the invoice afterward. For example, I was charged $15 on 2/12, then another charge occurred on 3/1, which was unexpected.
When I contacted support to request a refund, I was told I had violated their Terms of Service by having multiple accounts under the same email address. This was surprising, especially since their system allowed it. I was unaware of any additional accounts, as password reset attempts consistently failed—leading me to believe the account no longer existed.
Overall, the lack of transparency around billing and account management was frustrating. Buyers should proceed with caution, as these issues may explain the company’s low review ratings.

You cannot cancel your subscription or remove "Payment card". I searched for a quarter of an hour until I was able to contact technical support. This is very ridiculous. I feel as if the subscription is important like a prison, you cannot get out of it easily.

“LiveChat literally stole my money! My first credit card was declined, so I paid with a second one. Later I discovered they also charged my first card—meaning I paid the same invoice twice. Their system shows only one invoice, and they keep blaming me while asking for proof they themselves cannot provide.
I submitted a signed PDF from my bank, and they STILL haven’t refunded me. This company is dishonest and untrustworthy. Save yourself the headache and use another provider!”

I paid for this live chat service for years and it has consistently failed to work properly. The system disconnects on its own without any warning, incoming client chat requests are not notified, and messages are missed entirely. As a result, both we and our clients were left frustrated and dissatisfied.
The software is unreliable, outdated in its logic, and poorly designed. It behaves differently depending on whether it is used via browser or mobile, with absurd functional limits for a paid professional service. Managing it is laborious and pointless. It provides no benefit to client support and actively damages it.
Despite these ongoing failures, payments were taken regularly. I never received proper assistance or meaningful technical support, despite repeated problems over time. The service never matched what was promised or reasonably expected.
We have cancelled our account and are waiting for a refund. This service wasted time, money, and caused continuous operational stress. I strongly advise avoiding it.
Great potential
Great potential, constant bugs, and slow/unresponsive support. Every time I set up a campaign or create a new chat, it doesn't work. Then it takes hours/days to fix when the issue shouldn't take more than 15 mins max. They do not respect your time.

Got scammed of $805 no email received no billing approval just charged my card without my consent. this is scam I contacted on their livechat and they say they cant refund because their other team is not there. I'm not sure whats going to be done but this is pure scam. I will be no more going to use this service.

My experience with the LiveChat app for WordPress has been nothing short of awful. They charged me for a service that was never provided, and when I reached out for help, they refused to refund my money.
On top of that, their service is extremely overpriced. What they advertise as a complete chat solution is misleading — there are hidden fees at every step. To get a fully functional chat system, you’ll end up paying nearly triple what other reputable companies charge for the same features.
Their customer support was dismissive and offered no real solutions. It feels like they are more focused on squeezing as much money as possible out of customers rather than providing a reliable, honest service.
Avoid this company at all costs. There are far better, more transparent, and fairly priced alternatives available.

LiveChat App has harmed my business rather than helped it
I’ve been using this plugin on my website for several years. At first, it was helpful, but over the past year it has started to negatively affect my business. It constantly logs out - on PC, Mac, and all of my phones. The biggest issue is that you don’t even know when it’s offline. Customers may be trying to contact us, but we have no idea because no notifications are received.
At this point, LiveChat does more harm to my business than any real good.
Bad Experience
I’ve been using LiveChat with a single agent account, as they originally recommended for my business needs. After their latest app update introduced a bug that disrupted our customer support, I reached out for help. Instead of addressing the bug, their team repeatedly insisted I purchase separate accounts for each person who might log in, even if only one agent is active at a time. They even threatened to ban me over this.
This policy makes little sense, if I’m unavailable and ask someone else, like my brother, to handle support, that should not require paying for an extra agent. It feels like an attempt to force unnecessary upgrades rather than providing customer-focused solutions.
As a result, I’m moving to Tawk.to, which is completely free, improving rapidly, and offers far better value.

I gave their service a try and was impressed with the quality—though it turned out to be more than I needed. I accidentally left the subscription running and was charged $99 for the premium plan. Fortunately, their customer support was excellent—they promptly canceled the subscription and issued a full refund with no hassle.
