I enjoy Lingoda very much
I enjoy Lingoda very much, and it has helped me immensely with my Spanish. Learning from instructors with different teaching styles has been a great experience and has greatly improved my auditory comprehension.
I do wish there were an option to purchase classes individually rather than a subscription model (Life got busy a few months back, and the classes piled up for a while). But the subscription also keeps me accountable and prevents me from letting too much time go between classes, so I guess it can be a good thing, too.

We completely understand how busy life can get, but we’re glad the structure helps keep you accountable and on track with your language goals. For future reference, here are a few options to keep credits from piling up when life gets busy. You can pause your subscription for up to 28 days at a time, you can convert group class credits into private class credits to use them faster, and last but not least, if you need a longer break, you can cancel your subscription and pick up where you left off when you have more time.
Your credits remain valid for one year from the date of purchase. While you do need an active subscription to use them, any unused credits will stay safely stored in your student account for as long as they are valid.

The course's main selling point was the availability of class options at a wide variety of times throughout the day. In reality, however, there aren't that many scheduling options. As someone who works in the morning and returns home at 3 PM, I struggle to find class times that suit my schedule; consequently, I am rarely able to take classes.

Please know that students can create and open new class times at any hour of the day, provided it is done at least 7 days in advance.
If the current schedule doesn't have open slots after 3 PM, you can use this option to set up classes that fit your exact schedule for the week ahead. We are currently redesigning our booking page to make this option clearer for everyone, but we wanted to share it with you directly so you can start taking advantage of it today.

The business model of credits is hard…
The business model of credits is hard to catch up if not used on time. You can only pause, but not take classes while pausing subscriptions. When you return it charges again and you end up with more credits and more unused classes. It’s a predatory practice designed for those who only take class on a set schedule, and it’s impossible to get a refund on an unused purchase.

Our subscription model is designed to encourage consistent practice. To help ease the pressure for you, we exceptionally refunded your last 2 months of charges. Additionally, even though your subscription is now canceled, we’ve given the option to extend your student account access for an extra 3 months within the upcoming 6 months, so you can use your remaining credits without any ongoing charges or financial pressure.
We truly want you to get the full value out of the classes you’ve paid for on terms that work for you, that still comply with the terms and conditions you have agreed to upon signing up for your course.

Its good to learn and practice
Its good to learn and practice. I have improved a lot and learnt a lot thanks to Lingonda. Ill definitely recommend Lingonda to everyone who wants to learn.
Areas for improvement is where some teachers need to understand that they need to finish the class unfortunately else students have to use their money to register once again in the same class.

Lingoda has been a great platform for me to learn English. I really enjoy learning here because the teachers are professional, friendly, and very helpful. The learning materials are also well designed, practical, and easy to follow, which makes every lesson engaging and effective. I also love the fact that I can book lessons anytime, 24 hours a day. Overall, I’ve had a wonderful learning experience with Lingoda.
I do have one suggestion that I hope the platform will consider. I wish there were a way to leave additional feedback or give extra recognition to outstanding teachers. I always give teachers five stars when I’m satisfied with the lesson, but sometimes I feel that certain teachers deserve even more than five stars because they go above and beyond.

I've been using Lingoda on and off for…
I've been using Lingoda on and off for Spanish. I am at upper intermediate level and I like that the whole class is in Spanish and the teachers are all native speakers. I find the way of booking lessons useful and I like that there's a structure. The quality of the teachers varies and it sometimes seems they haven't really fully prepared before class and are just following the slides. For the upper intermediate level, the classes themselves are a bit random at times in terms of the topics (ie. A whole lesson on the labels of food products!) and I would love more focus on useful yet advanced vocabulary and forming detailed sentences and conversations.
However, it is very good value. For people saying it's too expensive, it's about £12 a lesson which if you've ever done other language lessons, you'll know is a very good deal.

Sprint recovery is not easy
When i signed up for a sprint, for one of the days the teacher missed a lesson and i got an extra credit. I used that credit on my last day of the sprint as i wasn't going to continue with lingoda. They used this as the reason for accusimg me in sprint terms breach and never returned the advertised 50% of funds. Escalations with their support vere close to useless either.

We understand how stressful it is to miss out on your Sprint refund. Our Sprint rules are designed to be strict to keep the challenge fair. When a class can not take place because of the teacher or a technical issue on our side, the credit is refunded and the student is informed via email that the credit should be left unused until the Sprint has finished, as the class does count towards the Sprint progress. We are sorry that this led to a confusion, particularly after you put in the effort to complete the challenge. If you have further questions regarding the matter, please reach out to us again.

Solid option for language learning
Really good service. Solid learning material, excellent range of lesson slots, and fantastic teachers. Also there is the option of both group and private lessons.
What is excellent but not promoted on their site or promotional emails is:
1) the customer service. I've asked a ton of questions and they reply quickly, politely and with full answers.
2) the post-lesson training options which includes flash cards. Q & A and - most of all - AI chat which not only allows you to practice but also provides feedback throughout, including confirmation you're doing great, corrections, alternative suggestions and explanations for the feedback.
I have yet to try private lessons but I will.
You don't *need* Lingoda to learn a language but I find it an excellent addition - primarily for the reasons I joined: aural and verbal immersion - and my comprehension has improved dramatically. It also forces you to get over the fear factor of speaking in front of others and of making mistakes.
That's not to say it's perfect. Lesson packages are discounted but if you want to top up with extra lessons before your monthly subscription renews then no discount applies. Each lesson is €12.99 no matter how many you buy despite lessons dropping to €9.49 or €7.65 for a 12 and 24 subscriptions respectively - which put me off purchasing extra lessons as it's not economically viable.
Also, if you wanted to swap group lessons for private then it is on a 3-1 ratio and quite a bit higher than the cost of a private lesson package.
That said, I am very happy with the course. It's not essential but if you have the disposable income then it's a very worthwhile investment – certainly more beneficial than spending the money on takeaways and Temu!
