I needed help with buying a drill. The person was helpful but when I got home, the only drill bit I purchased didn't fit in the drill.. big waste of time, easily avoided with better knowledge.
I then went to return it without my receipt but the transaction on my phone. This was rejected, and the employee, Agnieska started to call me names and said no one would serve me, and I could wait a week to speak with a manager ( all paraphrasing). In short, after barraging me with things I won't repeat, I would say, use the independent hardware store one block away or the tool station, where all receipts are on file. Tool station has a large selction at much better prices. I paid 1/2 the price for a drill that is a better brand, and the drill bit fit.

The one star is for their website. It is catastrophically slow & has been like that for years despite the company claiming this is being fixed. Edit: so Leyland replied: 'Thanks for your feedback, we will pass this on.' - but they said this years ago & nothing ever changed.

The managers in Leyland are awful
They need to be replaced with nicer staff.
Disgusting how they treat staff. They claim to care about your mental health but they don't. I will never buy anything from leyland and I would not recommend them. Go somewhere else where staff get treated better.

I was promised a refund for a wrong item replacement, but the money was never returned to my account. I emailed about the issue, yet received no reply. Absolutely terrible customer service! I will never shop here again.

Terrible customer service. Ordered on 1st still being processed on 5th. Tried to cancel via email. No response after more than 24 hours. Tried to call the service line. Call dropped 5 times while on hold. Submitted message on website - no response. Love the shops but if they can’t be bothered to do web ordering and delivery properly then don’t bother. And service is appalling.

Stepney Green location - The guys at this Leyland store are so helpful and give the best service. Naz and Fawas went above and beyond every time I come to this store.

Sent the consignment the day after I ordered it. I was very happy and very impressed.

Kings Road, SW3 store is extremely helpful and friendly. I use them all the time for general things but yesterday they went over and above normal helpfulness - particularly the tall dark (good looking) gentleman. I recommend them very highly.

Clayton Menendes went above and beyond in helping us resolve delivery issues and should be commended.

Looking for 4 metre extension pole for ages ordered this and arrived on time . Excellent quality wish I found this earlier. Haven't used it yet but feels really solid made.

It was meant to be a next day delivery but arrived one day late

My order was misdelivered, and Parcelforce confirmed they couldn’t locate it. They advised me that only the seller (Leyland SDM) could file a claim.

I emailed and called Leyland multiple times with no real response, just one lazy email saying “Your parcel was delivered” without addressing any of the facts I explained.

No support, no refund, no accountability. I had to dispute the charge through my credit card. Absolutely terrible experience.

Your Internet sales are shocking in the fact.
Your contact numbers no one ever answered and the email address is dead don't work. I'm shocked on how poor this is. Will stick to screwfix from now on.

The assistants really know about DIY and can advise customers what to buy. I always go there and I never feel pressured into buying something I don’t need . I don’t feel intimidated and can’t ask basic questions questions as the staff are so friendly.

On June 16th, we went to buy additional paint to finish painting our flat in London. Due to some misunderstanding, we were not given the same mix of paint that we bought a few days earlier. Yasin was quick to acknowledge it and took responsibility, always in a friendly manner and putting the customer first. He did an excellent job to correct the situation.



I would like to formally thank Yasin for his positive reaction and excellent customer service. I think he is the type of employee everyone would like to have.
