Very disappointing
Very disappointing, we really wanted to go to Sicily, and to go on Luxuria but luxury it wasn't. THE Hotels were 3 star at most and the food was very 3rd rate, we expected lovely Italian food. Our drivers Marcus and Blake were excellent, but travelling 8 hours plus in a coach and getting to a Hotel sometimes at 8.00 in the middle of nowhere was not for us, and given the cost of the holiday it's back to cruising next year.

A Very Enjoyable Holiday
We loved our holiday on the The Elegance & Charm of the Italian & French Rivieras. Our drivers Alan and Ben were helpful, friendly very good drivers and couldn't do enough to make our trip brilliant. Our hotel was lovely, food excellent and the staff were so attentive. It was a great crowd who mixed together as we were so relaxed.

Tom and Paris the excellent drivers/hosts. A good itinerary. Hotels and food were OK - could have been much better. Carcassonne hotel disappointing- dank and view of car park!
The journey back by coach would have been fine but not enough stops! 3.5 hours is too long!

Not a Leger holiday
Firstly, it is very hard to do this review because, although I booked the trip through Leger, the actual trip had nothing to do with them as it was organised by a travel company in the USA. The trip was titled "Colours of New England ".
The booking process was fine, and Leger kept us up to date with relevant updates. The actual holiday was good, we did get to see many of the beautiful changing colours of the trees as we travelled around. Some of the "hotels" they use leave a bit to be desired. One was a 2 night stay at what was effectively a motel, but there was no evening dining due to the kitchen having suffered a fire. However, we later found out this had occurred over 2 years before and they just hadn't bothered to repair it. In my opinion, the company should have stopped using the hotel long before and sourced somewhere else.
The tour director did the guiding in English and German, however the German translations ended up with far more information. The guide came from Germany but now lives in the US. Also, she didn't actually give any information other than what she read from on the coach, there was no guiding whilst walking around.
Unfortunately, whilst we were there, they suffered a bad storm and there seemed no contingency for this. Basically, get out of the coach in the pouring rain, entertain yourself whilst the driver and guide shut the coach doors and drive off!!

A Romantic End of Summer Joy
This was an "out of my comfort zone" holiday in terms of it being an escorted group trip spending a lot of time travelling together. I was the only solo traveller and was made very welcome by the Tour Manager and fellow travellers. The coach transfers were all on time, if not early and always used high quality vehicles, although without toilets. The hotel was of a very good standard and in a beautiful but convenient location. The weather was fantastic and so were the days out destinations. The TGV journey between Paris and Nice is a long 6 hour trip and would benefit from travellers being allowed the option during the booking process to upgrade to 1st Class.

Lake Garda and the Dolomites
Our Hotel Cristal Palace was set high in the Dolomites surrounded by awesome scenery. Food was very tasty and the rooms comfortable with everything you could possibly want to hand. The only drawback was it took 90 minutes to get off the mountain to go on our excursions. However the journey itself was an excursion as the views changed with every bend in the road.
Our drivers Rich and Steph were excellent and attentive to our needs. They had a lot of knowledge gathered over several years and knew the best places and routes to enhance our holiday.
Thd weather was wonderful, not too hot but no need for coats.
I am currently trying to find my next holiday but am finding it difficult to find something that can meet the standard of this one.

5 day D-Day tour
Great experience from pick up to drop off. Our drivers Mark and Gaynor were friendly and helpful. Mark Allen ,our guide, was excellent. His knowledge was extraordinary. We especially liked the little personal stories. Hotel was comfortable and the food was good. 3 full on,thought provoking and at times, emotional days. Highly recommend the 5 day D-Day tour
