The job of cutting my grass was accepted then "released" by 3 different providers. Around 15 days after I had contracted for service, a provider actually cut my lawn. They charged me an "overgrown" fee. They missed lines of grass between mower passes, didn't cut the dogyard grass AT ALL, didn't trim along the fence line, and cut AROUND a temporary tag (from TrueGreen).
Nope, not a fan.

Terrible company! I booked a scheduled appointment with lawn guru to cut my grass. They did not show up. In addition, they didn’t bother to give me a call to let me know they couldn’t make the schedule appointment. They texted me the next day and told me they were on their way to cut my grass. I had already cut my grass and told them do not to come. Most of all, they had the audacity to charge my credit card. I texted them back and told them to refund my money for a service they didn’t deliver they did not respond. I had to file a fraud claim with my credit card company to get my money back. Stay away from Lawn Guru they are a scam!

This business is a scam. Horrible customer support and people frequently no show. We even had a person scheduled to come after multiple no shows and Lawn “not a guru” cancelled the appointment after calling to ensure someone was coming. Complete runarounds. Avoid at all costs.

Would give zero stars if I could. Horrible experience. I cancelled any future service. My fence is busted from them trying to force their mower in my back yard which they knew the entrance size and that a rider would not fit. While doing that they scraped my house and ran over my fire pit (which was in the flower bed and not in the way which also means they drove through my flower bed). And then left it that way. Not to mention it’s an horrible mow job as well. Entire strip down my back yard that they missed. I could actually tell so much more. And they were just going to drive off. Until I got to enjoy their presence for another 30 minutes as they broke down in front of my house. Customer service asked how it went. I told them and have heard nothing. And yes, I was charged for the mow.

No one showed up. paid extra for specific day service. ghosted. Tried contacting customer service and nothin. Scam of a company that i will get shut down. Seems to be a recurring problem.

Do not use this company. They contract people out. The guy who did my yard only did half of it. They sent him back out and I can see the mowers tracks where he started and stopped. Only did just enough to send a “confirmation photo” then left again without finishing the job. Terrible company

PLEASE DO NOT USE. THESE GUYS ARE TERRIBLE. The app doesn’t work. You have no one to talk to via phone at all. Service personnel didn’t cut my lawn but said they did and they still took money from me. Hard to cancel. Also, it’s a free for all with your card being on file. Please don’t use..!!!!

They don't take responsibility for the people who work for them, they hire contactors. The contractors barely respond and they also take 0 responsibility for their actions.

They did our lawn a hand full of times, no one else touched our property.

The last session, they sliced our entire screened in porch open((which was when I ended service)), they shattered 3 of our sprinkler heads, we just found the casing for our internet cable is shattered as well((never was before)) not to mention, they cut the grass so short that the lawn cooked in the heat, now in dealing with a ton of property damage and a half dead lawn.

I have NEVER delt with someone so unprofessional in my entire life. On top of all of the issues, the contractor responded to me with this, "We didn't break anything" the over head company, lawn guru said they aren't responsible for anything. Tell me how this is even remotely legal?

They did no investigation into what our complaints were, I wish I could give a negative rating, this company is a complete hoax, don't trust them.

John came out once to cut the grass and was in a schedule of every other week. Came out once. The next time he took a pic of the yard and posted completed, however literally did nothing. We cancelled our service with them. Got desperate bc no one else could come out so we signed up with another person, Naim, for a one time cut. He said he would be out that day. He messaged daily said they were running behind. On day 4 he said the equipment was broken. Worst service and company ever. We just moved here and our lawn mower is broken so poor luck for us all around.

Do not use Lawn Guru! Our provider used to do a decent job but then started using a zero turn mower on our property. This left the grass looking terrible and one of our sprinkler shut off valve covers was run over which popped it out of place and then he cut it up into dozens of sharp piece which are littered throughout our lawn where my son plays. I notified Lawn Guru and they said the damage was “not in line with any service provided by Lawn Guru or its providers”. Are you kidding? I sent them pictures of the cover clearly cut up and pictures of how bad the grass looked but they said they wouldn’t do anything about it. Don’t use these people, if you have a problem they’ll leave you to deal with it.

Horrible service from Jamie and Will in Phila. They were supposed to start in late March, never started until April. When they did finally arrive, they left bales of uncut grass all over my lawn and just drove off leaving me with a mess. Then they started being late, 18 days without a cut, and then 19 days. But, the worst part is sending this girl out here in the pouring rain, who told me she had 12 more grass cuts to do in the rain. Horrible, beyond words..I had to leave them.Dates they were here 4/10 ,4/28, 5/17/ 5/31

I hired Lawn Guru to cut my lawn while I was on vacation.
I had two major problems. First, I came home to a broken gate/fence. When I called a fence repair company they immediately said this was caused by your lawn service people (I called three companies) When I contacted Lawn Guru they asked me to send pictures. Upon receiving the photos they told me I hadn't reported the damage soon enough. When told we had been I vacation they responded with the damage wasn't cause by them. So, I'm left with a repair bill.
Secondly, the second mowing was to be done while I was still on vacation. The same person was sent out, he sent pictures of a street that wasn't mine with no photo of the lawn. On the app it said he had been at my property for TWO minutes but charged me for the mowing.
Beware of this company. They are not at all selective in who they hire.

God I wished I had read all these reviews before wasting my time with this company. Multiple no shows, tried to tack on $5 extra for a "guaranteed service day". One provider showed up with a push mower in the trunk of his car and never cleaned up clippings. Every little service is extra, even trimming weeds with a trimmer around bushes (a separate service). Avoid this company AT ALL COSTS

Terrible, person showed up a day late and only mowed half the lawn, and the half that was mowed looked worse than any lawn I ever mowed as a kid. Then they wanted to send the same vendor out to fix it instead of assigning me a new one. Finally did get a new one, who then dropped the job the day of service, then the old vendor accepted the job again even though I blocked them in the app. DO NOT USE THIS RIDICULOUS COMPANY.

I had a great experience with lawn gurus. Maybe I just lucked out. I found the site easy to use, I was quoted a price. This was very early on a Friday morning and my bid was accepted within a few hours. My lawn professional came the next day as scheduled and did a great job on my really overgrown yard. I will be having Marquias come out every other Saturday. He was so polite and such a nice guy. I was contacted that afternoon via text asking if everything was okay.i messaged back and forth. It did not seem to be a chatbot. I am more than pleased!

I was smart enough NOT to use them. I went online to fill out the form and was quoted 37.00 when i get to the finish line and see the big MASTER CARD sign it says to pay 52.50.When you can't trust them before the start of service don't be silly into thinking it won't happen again. It will not be good and after reading all these forced `1 star reviews I took myself out to lunch@!! I made the smartest decision... thank you all for leaving reviews,it's because of you I was able to make my choice and save my money and sanity

How I wished I would have read the reviews on Lawnguru before reaching out for lawn service. Buyers Beware is some sound advice. Don't go through what I have to not to pay for service that wasn't completed. I've used lawn service from people starting their own lawn business. Lawnguru need to be ashamed to bring these so call lawn perfessionals and represent them for doing such a poor job. I feel scammed out of my money giving away free money. I'm out of $41.50 for a half ass job, that Lawnguru sent back to fix and the group literally stay out there for a little over 10 minutes with a weed eater and assumed that was a fix. The grass looks like it need to be cut. I have to come out of pocket to pay someone else to come out tomorrow and do a lawn job that look like it was serviced. I'll be filing a complaint to every consumer reporting business I can find. I'm not paying for service that was not done correctly.
The excuse one of the customers rep gave was just as poor.

I booked lawn care service through them and paid an overgrowth fee because my lawn was up to 12 inches overgrown. The servicer completed the job and then several days later charged me an additional fee, stating it was more overgrown. I disputed this with the company since I did not agree to the service at that price, and they refused to refund the additional fees.
