Easy to book, excellent value for money, friendly office staff and fantastic guides.

We had a hiking trip booked with KE travel for this summer, but due to health issues of one of the travellers we had to postpone the trip. The team at KE Adventure Travel were a joy to deal with both on the phone and via email. They are quick to respond and very helpful. Of course it's disappointing the trip is delayed but the customer service is just fantastic so I would highly recommend them. Big thanks to Vanessa!

The trip was excellently organised from start to finish. Lots of info before the trip. Very good transport to and from airport / locations. Itinerary was perfect. Guides were helpful and knowledgeable.

A very well organised and run tour of the real delights of Costa Rica taking in the spectacular volcanic, tropical features and wild life of the land from east to west, mountain highs to Pacific seashores and many more. Priced at a reasonable level it was inclusive and jam packed with extras.

I booked the GR 20 for September 2022 through KE Adventures. This is an arduous and difficult expedition, with long days and very basic overnight facilities for most nights (which I was aware of at the time of booking). There are no rest days & in the second week there are 2 very long days (which are split across 4 days on a normal itinerary).
Acceptance for the expedition is by self assessment – no follow up questions were asked of me. I have a very good level of fitness, but left the expedition after day 4. The main reason was that I was not enjoying the expedition. This was due to very early starts ( walking across a rope suspension bridge in the dark ) followed by 8 hours minimum walking carrying a heavy rucksack & basic food and sleeping facilities to follow. I had little time for conversation on the walk (due to exertion and concentration required) which didn’t make for an enjoyable experience. On the evening before the start of the walk there was only 4 hours sleep prior to starting a huge expedition. This was an endurance test as opposed to an enjoyable experience.
After leaving, I had to make my own arrangements (at considerable expense ) to travel home (via Italy).
The local guide was excellent but KE Adventures showed little interest or care. I only received one email after I left (no phone calls or any attempt to follow up) which left me with a sour taste in my mouth as I had been so looking forward to it.
I want to ensure that future travellers have the full picture of the expedition:
- Facilities in non-hotel nights are very basic
- On the first night you will get only 4 hours sleep
- You will be expected to follow what I consider to be hazardous routes (again, walking a rope bridge in the dark)
- The intensity of an already incredibly intense hike is heightened by doubling up days
- KE Adventures show little interest after the start of the trip in terms of either customer care or a positive response to honest feedback. I have raised these issues but they show little interest and are defensive.
- Look at the itinerary carefully and match against your fitness (and then some) – this is very arduous and it is very difficult and expensive to bail out, with little or no help from KE Adventures.

Update following KE Adventure's reply of 30/1/23
There are inaccuracies in the response ( for example the KE scheduled arrival was one hour later than mine ). The most worrying issue is the release of personal information ( without my consent agreement or knowledge ) obtained from a personal application form to KE Adventures. Extremely unprofessional.

Have just returned from Greece on my 2nd KE Adventure (my 1st was in Slovenia) both of which have been during the pandemic. KE have proved themselves to be very able operators in these difficult travel times and their staff are both friendly and efficient.
I will not hesitate to use them again in the future,

Fantastic company who are so friendly, helpful and so much knowledge about their trips and local leaders. I did their Wilds of Assynt Trek in Scotland during early August 2020 so during the Pandemic and they were superb. Great trip! The food is amazing, excellent mountain landscapes, lovely local people and such special memories. Definitely recommend KE Adventures especially during this COVID-19 Pandemic. Their trips in Scotland are very special and memorable! Want to do their High Points of the Outer Hebrides and The West Highland Way treks/trips with them in 2021!

I have travelled twice with KE in the past year; once during the pandemic. For both trips, I think the communication and organisation has been excellent and the trips themselves brilliant. I have booked another holiday with them and would not use another travel operator for walking/adventure holidays.

Walking NZ - North to South Island was a truly fantastic trip. The itinerary enables you to see so many different parts and aspects of this beautiful country.

Our local tour guides (Merisha and Sean) were superb and went above and beyond to make our holiday feel tailored and special to us. So enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all aspects of NZ, in particular the wildlife, geography, culture and traditions, as well as giving us an insight into modern NZ and living there today. Highly experienced outdoor leaders. Lots of eloquently told Maori myths and legends to fill our coach journeys!

The walks were nicely varied in both length, ability level and scenery.

A fabulous trip, highly recommend.

This trip was absolutely amazing. Super friendly and knowledgeable guides (who also had great senses of humour), a well-thought-out itinerary (it was nice to stay two nights in the same accommodation on four occasions), excellent accommodation, good food and we saw a *lot*. I highly recommend KE in general (we've travelled with them numerous times) and the NZ trip in particular.

Just returned from “backroads of Cambodia” trip which was a perfect balance of cycle and sightseeing, giving access to rural Southeast Asia.
This was my second trip with KE and as with the first one all aspects of care, information and attention to detail were beyond reproach. Would certainly recommend KE and look forward to the next adventure!

Just back from Costa Rica, our second trip with KE. Brilliant trip, great company, really enthusiastic caring guide (Joe) who couldn't do enough for us, and loads of wildlife. Exactly what they said we would get. We really strongly recommend KE and will use them again.

Have completed many trips with KE Adventure who I trust to ensure that my journeys go well. Just back from an amazing trip to Antarctica organised through KE Adventure Travel. Received a great personal service in the lead up to the trip with detailed information all provided as required. Cruise on the MV Expedition was the trip of a lifetime - great service and so many memories of wildlife and wilderness.

We've been on a couple of KE adventure holidays now-trekking in the Balkans last Summer and most recently a Winter Activity holiday in Finland. Even before the holiday the office staff are helpful at answering any questions and guiding you to find the best trip for your needs The transport arrangements are clear and the itineraries really make sure you make the most of your holiday and perhaps see a different side to the place you are visiting, with the help of knowledgeable friendly local guides.
We will definitely use KE for future adventures

From the very start more than 12 months before KE were brilliant at informing and helping. Finally the adventure to EBC happened this February. Flights, hotels, lodges, guides, porters everything was in place and what an adventure we had. The most challenging thing I have ever done but also the most rewarding trek ever. You have to go there to know and words in a review simply doesn't do it justice.

KE are a wonderful company to use for this type of holiday. Everything was perfect on our trek to Everest base camp. (Feb 2020)
If I decide to do another adventure like this KE will be the only company that I will consider.
