Good quality sarees.Received as like advertised and friendly staff.

The sarees were exactly how the website showed them, beautiful. The only thing better than the sarees was the customer service. They were prompt, engaged, willing to work with you. On the whole, a pretty great experience

Ordered Katansi Saree, that was advertised as pure banarsi silk. It turned out to be NOT SILK, not even the vicinity of silk - it was polyester/viscose material. The Zari was completely fake and fully plastic. Did the silk fabric-break test as well as flame test - saree material didn't pass either. Secondly, they sent me old/previously worn sarees, not brand new as I had paid for. Their online models had worn them before. They are total scammer company, looks like they are going out of business - don't order from them, you are paying silk saree prices for completely plastic material. If you re ok to pay upwards of 11K per saree for plastic, you are most welcome.

I’m from Canada and I recently ordered a Banarasi silk saree from India through katansi.com. The saree is very attractive and the quality is excellent. The packaging was also very premium and safe. I even received a Silk Mark certificate with my order, which shows the authenticity. Plus, I got a Buy 1 Get 1 offer, which made the purchase even better. Delivery time was well maintained. They selling very cheap material sarees, not silk at all. The sarees came smelling horrible and looked like it had been worn before. Looks like they are about to close down as a business and are selling Buy 1 get 1 free, don't fall for that. They have been reported to Silk Mark of India as well as the Business Bureau of Gujarat. Most of their ratings are very bad online. Beware!

Absolutely amazing selection of sarees , very elegant and classy. Most importantly excellent customer service from the staff, who are patient and make sure everything from selecting to shopping is a seamless easy experience.

Ordered 2 sarees for my mum and availed buy one get one free. They were absolutely marvellous, my mum was over the moon and couldn’t stop praising the quality and packaging. Must get if you haven’t already.

The sarees I ordered were beautiful and the material was rich and when I wore them - it looked very elegant. The blouses were stitched perfectly to the size and pattern I provided.

This is an update to an earlier review. I bought two banarasi sarees from Katansi. When I wrote the earlier review I had not opened the sarees. Once I opened it, one saree was frayed, old and had holes in it. When I reached out to Katansi, I was told it was part of the weaving process. But the saree was so evidently old and very poor quality. It is something that customers really should be aware of. Please be careful buying, unless you are in the store and you can check the material before buying.
