I have had the original Kardia for 7 years now and it’s worth every penny. My wife had atrial fibrillation for about 10 years but every time we went to the hospital for an ECG her heart would always behave itself. Our GP recommended Kardia as we would be able to catch it as it happened. And catch it it certainly did. We were able to show the traces to our GP who arranged to see Cardiologist. She then had an Ablation soon after and she’s been fine ever since and that was six years ago. I don’t know what we would have done without it. I’ve read many of the other reviews on here and don’t recognise any of their experiences. It’s simple to use and has clear instructions. My eight year old granddaughter likes to play doctors with it. She doesn’t have any problems getting a clear trace. I paid £99 in 2018 for the original 2 lead version. The six lead version is only £50 more. Money well spent if it saves your life.

I found this to have been of limited value - very formulaic feedback.
Don’t forget to cancel your subscription in good time or they will take it again without warning

To be fair to them, I requested a refund more in Hope than expectation. They responded in reasonable time and have given me a refund. Can’t say fairer than that! Have therefore updated from 2 stars to 3 stars

This has to be a con - and you would use one while riding a bike in the gym! That will be accurate!

Refused to replace when stopped working saying that DOESNT WORK if a pacemaker fitted. It does not saythat this machine doesn’t work with pacemaker.

I have had a Kardia for 2 years. Occasionally it tells me I have AF. I have had several Holter studies done each where I wear the holter for a week. At no time has a holter (or a normal ECG) shown AF. The Kardia did on 2 occasions when I was wearing a holter.
Today, the Kardia showed AF. I looked at the trace, and could not see it. I sent the trace to Kardia and the technician said it was AF because the rhythm was irregularly irregular. It is not. There are 2 PACs, but the rhythm otherwise seems regular to me.
I then sent the ecg to Qualy, and this service analysed the ecg and said exactly what I had observed.
I might believe the absence of P waves, since they are small, but they ARE there.
This thing is supposed to diagnose AF but does not do so reliably.

I’m a doctor from NZ who bought this for emergency use when out and about - only used this a handful of times (maybe once a month if that) and mainly to show it to patients this product for them to consider purchasing but after 18 months signal stopped working - went back and forth with the customer service who kept advising the same things about 5 times to finally tell me to buy a new device - would not recommend this product if this is the customer service but also a device that breaks after less than 2 years with minimal use - disappointing

I used this for months to measure my EKG. Never had any issues until I bought a new phone and logged in to that one. After I had used it on the new phone for 2 weeks also without issue, I wanted to just look at some of the data on the old (still working) phone. However, when logging in it disconnected my right after greeting me. To actually be able to loose in I had to logout and hence loose all the data I had already saved on my new phone. When I contacted Kardia how to solve this without logging out and loosing data I got a very non-helpful answer.
- They said my phones probably wasn't supported (it was)
- They said it was probably because of an OS update (no update happened)
- They were sorry the KardiaMobile wasn't working on my phone anymore. Well it always did and still do work. But to make it work with 2 phones you have to logout on the other device and hence delete all locally saved measures ever made.

That is not a compatibility issue - that is poorly designed software (I'm a lead software engineer and actually know what I'm talking about).

My recommendation to those interested in this product is to buy a decent smartwatch instead - the doctors (at least in EU) trust them more, and that way you can avoid AliveCor "service" and their poorly designed app.

Signal stopped. I contacted kardia and no help. Time after time , told to replace battery, check battery, delete app, reinstate app…… nothing worked.
No customer service available to speak to. Phone no not in service and as I stated , automated reply to e mail,

With case, I paid £141.99 on Amazon for a device and app that only provides half the functionality, unless of course I upgrade to the subscription for the low-low price of £9.99 a month. Nice. A heads up before purchase would have been lovely. I understand that value-added services like having a technician read reports requires a subscription. But just using the device to perform the tests its meant to perform where my phone does all the processing is not something that needs a subscription. Greedy behaviour that ensures I will never buy another thing from Kardia. By contrast, my blood pressure monitor and smart scale from Withings don't require monthly fees just to provide the measurements for which the devices were purchased.

Avoid the pocket parasite, don't buy this device.

WITH THAT,THE ALIVECOR TOOK MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT BEFORE DUE,TWO WEEKS BEFORE!THEY said they wanted a card on file and the instant they got the card they took money out of my account I've already called the bank but you cannot trust people like that with your finances at , all thanks for the heart attack!

app is not working properly on android phone

Two issues: I pay for the additional 6 lead service which is supposed to cover a range of rhythm issues. It is supposed to especially accurately pick up on AFib but on six occasions I’ve asked for reports from Kardia’s technicians and all of them have differed from the Kardia tracing, so I am starting to lose trust in its accuracy.
Now my device has started to fail, indicating electrical interference when there isn’t any, and when I reported this I’m told there’s no record of my email (even though they were happy to take my money for additional reports).
I’m starting to suspect the usefulness, accuracy snd effectiveness of this set up and would be interested to know how others are finding this. It was recommended by the British Heart Foundation and I think it should be told about these shortcomings so other people don’t get confused and stressed by the inadequacies of Kardia

I bought one from Amazon, taking the chance the the 70% critical and very poor reviews were exaggerated. They are not exaggerated at all. I managed to get my phone to pair Bluetooth with the device, but not one byte of data from the KardiaMobile 6-Lead Personal ECG Heart Monitor. I read every bit of help and tried all sorts of config options, but what a waste of time. Amazon have refunded my money for this expensive piece of non-functional technology.

This was helpful to begin with but the battery has died and it is impossible to get advice or help to know how to change it. The tutorials/directions given do not relate to the Kardia Mobile 6L that I have. I have tried and tried to contact Kardia Mobile and I get zero response. If you are private individual clearly they are not interested. Wasted nearly £100. Don't do it!

I have AF but so far hospital tests have missed it so I thought i would buy this ,what a load of rubbish it is!! It doesn't pick up the Bluetooth unless you take the app off and reinstall it, which defeats the object. Nowhere did it tell you that you have to pay £9.99 a month to get the full ECG and it doesn't come with a case. I am returning it and I've bought a Omeron ECG and Blood pressure machine with 1 year free subscriptionan and a case . Don't waste your money as I wish I had read the reviews first!

What a pile of rubbish no matter where I try to use this piece of junk it always says due to interference the reading is bad. I have tried to do a reading in every conceivable place each time I get the same error message.
Kardia Mobile get your house in order, stop the stupid advert saying how wonderful your product is and sort it out!!!!!

I had a possible heart problem. Doctor suggested this device for about £100 or have a minor operation.
Bought Kardia on ebay for £65.
Downloaded App and it wanted £5.99 per week!
Started to apply to ebay for refund as my problem is very infrquent.
Phoned Kardia in US 'toll free' (00 800 6688 7777).
Helpful chap explained I had downloaded wrong app.
I then downloaded the "basic" app and he talked me through how to use it.

Hassle, but I got there!

Wish I could rate Kardia Less! Had Kardia basic for a year since attack, just as reassurance? Responded to recent advertised grade to Kardia Care that facilities more than basis available and can send to medics for guidance and advice.
Paid, received a Code, that was it, nothing since. Code was rejected emailed the "support" link eight (8) times, only one early res]ply, just a resent Code, same as previous. Wrote to head-quarters in California US. Seeking help? just a code which would work? NOT EVEN THE COURTESY OF A REPLY!
Kardia have been paid for this service, 2 of the 12 months purchased months now lapsed- NOTHING.
KARDIA took my money, and never bothered to provide or even reply. What sort of Medical care or reassurance is that? All I have is upset, lack of trust and worry. KARDIA spend thousands on TV Adverts, but can't be bothered to reply and help customers. Took my money, game over?
