Loyal customer, but the Trailfly V2 is a major step backwards
Ten years running in Inov8. Zero drop from the start.
Multiple 100ks and 100-milers, all in Inov8 G270s and the models before them. I haven't had a blister in years. These shoes have been exceptional, and I've recommended them to anyone who'd listen.
Then the Trailfly V2 arrived.
First run. Heels rubbed raw. I tried taping, tried adjusting lacing, tried breaking them in gradually. The heel cup is shallow, sits awkwardly, and no amount of fiddling fixes it. I've since found I'm not alone -- this is a known issue across multiple people in the trail community.
I'm now running in Altras waiting for Inov-8 to sort the design.
The rest of the shoe is excellent. The upper, the drop, the grip -- all there. Which makes this more frustrating, not less.
One structural tweak and these would be brilliant. As they stand, they're unwearable for long days on trail.
Please fix the heel cup, Inov-8. You had something special and a recurring customer for life.

We do have some great feedback for the original TrailFly Zero V1 and updated V2's so its dissapointing to know you have not had the same experience. Went to the store in Bakewell
Went to the store in Bakewell. Lady who served us was very knowledgeable and patient while we tried on a number of different sizes and styles. Wife and I bought a pair of each.

Inov8 Trail Trainers
I attended one of local KMR runs and Inov8 had a stall there.
I had the chance to pick, try and even run my race in the trail trainers i chose.
The staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and provided a great service.
Also with a 20% discount the trainers worked out at a good price, i even price checked before I bought.

Swift and easy
Generally very swift and easy - ordered at weekend, arrived Wednesday (after bank holiday) and product quality excellent.
My only question is why the size guide for shorts is based on chest measurement? Surely waist would be more traditional?
