    Boots still dirty, not returned and no refund - what a combo

    I have no idea what happened this time.

    I used I hate ironing multiple times before and never had an issue. I have even asked them to clean the same pair of boots before and they did it flawlessly.

    This time I asked them to demould some hand painted DMs (that they have demoulded before, mind you) and I got them returned to me with mould inside still.

    I asked their customer service what happened and they promptly offered to collect the boots again to clean them up, free of charge.

    They then contacted me saying they couldn’t clean the boots otherwise they would risk damaging them. I felt frustrated but understood because I don’t want these boots ruined.

    On the same chat they offered a refund and to return the boots to me. It’s been a week since they offered this and I haven’t seen either the money or my boots back.

    These boots have been demoulded before twice so do they mean to tell me that there was always the risk of destroying my boots and they couldn’t let me know or what? How is it possible that they were cleaned before but now it’s too risky?

    Also, I originally asked the boots to be collected on the 27th of February. If my boots won’t be cleaned can I at least have them back, please?

    It’s been a week since I was told a return was arranged and I am yet to get my refund

    Be weary & check your bank details once…

    Be weary & check your bank details once payment has gone through- they will take money off your account not perform the service and keep the money unless you specifically ask for your money back for a service they did not perform! Day light robbery. Watch your receipts 🧾 from ihateironing and get your money back. They have the audacity to ask you if you want a refund or “ a free at no cost cleaning service” for a service they did not provide!!! Crazy!!!

    Great service

    Picked up early, which was absolutely no problem for me. The shirts were all washed and ironed and on hangers and delivered in a full length suit carrier. The delivery was on time and the delivery person was pleasant and courteous. All seemed excellent value apart from a fleece / hoodie which at £8.25 for a single item seemed expensive, although i couldn't fault the quality of the finish. Overall I was very happy with the service

    THE OWNER OF I HATE IRONING DOES NOT PAY EMPLOYEES!!!!

    The owner's daughter is a manager for their Coral Springs, FL location at Aldo's Cleaners and she is a HORRIBLE person to work for. I Hate Ironing is also a company that works with the owner's daughter of Aldo as she has drivers that deliver for her with this company. Her company, I HATE IRONING is a subsidiary for them. She has an electric vehicle wrapped in all black with the company logo that her current driver, Eric now delivers with. Bushwick Cleaners out of NY is partnered with Aldo's Cleaners. The Owner's daughter works out of the Aldo's Cleaners and completes dry cleaning services and deliveries with for I HATE IRONING. She does not pay well, nor does she pay her employees their final pay check when they leave. She will be getting a complaint filed with the U.S. Department of Labor against her and the parent company, Greenwich Cleaners, based out of New York shortly because she has still failed to send in her former employee's final paycheck through the payroll company that they use called PAYCHEX. That company, Paychex, will also be filing a complaint with the U.S. Department of Labor and the former employee will also be doing the same against Aldo's and her parent company. In addition, I Hate Ironing, their outsourcing service will also have a complaint filed against them. The owner ought to be ashamed of herself for how she treats her employees. This former employee waited outside for her to return and instead they all fled, including her Assistant Manager through the back entrance! This is a deplorable company. The owner even calls her employees on their days off to work, she claims to forget when you noted that you could not work, she will pop up at your location to take a company vehicle from her drivers. This company is horrible! NOW, THE COMPANY IS TRYING TO GET MY COMMENT REMOVED. PAY YOUR FORMER EMPLOYEE WHAT YOU OWE HIM: HIS FINAL PAYCHECK. DO WHAT IS RIGHT! I WILL CONSIDER REMOVING THIS IF HE IS PAID WHAT HE IS OWED. IF NOT, IT WILL REMAIN BECAUSE IT IS THE TRUTH. ALSO, PLEASE BE READY TO DEAL WITH YOUR BBB COMPLAINT IN ADDITION TO YOUR CASE WITH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND HIS ATTORNEY! DO THE RIGHT THING AND PAY WHAT YOU OWE!

    Lost items

    They lost over £1000 worth of my property and offer £300 as a good will gesture. Avoid using this service.

    Absolutely shocking service.

    Absolutely shocking service.

    My laundry was collected on a Saturday evening. I provided clear, standard instructions - exactly the same ones I’ve used consistently over the past couple of years:

    "Please wash all items (including large black chenille jumper if included) as all items are safe at maximum 30 degrees."

    At 8:30pm that same evening, I received a message saying urgent permission was required to process three items, with photos attached for approval. The items were as follows:

    1. The black chenille jumper
    This was explicitly covered in my instructions. Either those instructions were not read at all which raises concerns about how laundry is being handled or the staff do not understand what chenille is. Neither scenario is good because I've had shrinkage previously and now can see why.

    2. A beanie hat
    A standard synthetic hat that has been washed without issue for two years. I was now being asked to approve it separately and charged £9.10 for laundering it. There is no justification for this.

    3. A jumper
    The photo provided was so poor that the item was completely unidentifiable, rendering the request for approval meaningless.

    I called IHI and was repeatedly given the generic company policy line, with no attempt to engage with the actual issues. When I asked whether the representative knew what chenille was and so why it was obvious as to what the instructions referred to, he said he did not.

    I then asked whether company policy had changed, given that these exact items have been processed without issue for some two years under the same instructions. I was told it had not.

    When I asked why I was suddenly being asked to approve items and be charged additionally for them, there was no clear answer.

    I requested a proper, identifiable photo of the jumper and confirmation that my laundry would be processed according to the instructions already provided. I also asked for a response within 30 minutes because I was about to go out.

    No response was received by 9:00pm. As of 11:10am this morning, I have still had no follow-up, despite requesting that payment be paused until this was resolved.

    I have spent a significant amount of money with IHI over the years and have been a regular customer. I will be looking for a new provider that can follow instructions and does not attempt to impose unjustified charges without explanation and no follow-up. I did try and call them this morning and they are closed.

    An update on this review. I Hate Ironing did deal with this the next day and the situation was eventually resolved. However, when I unpacked my laundry today, the jumper that was missing and I received another person's black sweatshirt instead. I am now in further correspondence whilst my missing items is being tracked down.

    room for improvement

    I like the convenience of the service but don't appreciate having to wait for my laundry to be picked up having a TWO hour window.
    On the other hand, attention needs to be given to the folding of shirts, it is not symetrical and it creates asymetrical creases, which don't look god at the time you wear the garmet.

    Exceptional and affordable service

    Exceptional and affordable service! I was a bit wary of trying the service because it sounded too good to be true but I was pleasantly surprised when the driver promptly picked up my laundry within the window provided (even though it was raining and stormy outside) and within 48 hours returned the laundry first thing in the morning. I am very impressed and will definitely use this company again! What a godsend!

    Everything about I hate ironing is so great!

    Everything about I hate ironing is so easy! The app is great, saves me a lot of hassle taking my laundry somewhere because they collect it from my doorstep. Communication is also fab! Would 100% recommend using them!

    perfect service

    perfect service, polite staff. Have been using this company for a few months. I am very particular about my clothes and i love the fact that they listened to my instructions and obeyed them to the letter. I can not fault that and would recommend without hesitation
