I got all the information and figures from Barney at Homewise very quickly. They were clearly set out and easy to understand. When we are ready we will certainly come back to Homewise.

Barney Bryer from Homewise rang me in response to my initial phone enquiry. He explained how Homewise could help me boost my cash pot to buy the home I wanted. He explained the process, answered my questions and gave me confidence in both the company and the plan. I was so pleased with the answers I got and the information provided I decided to put my trust in the company and go ahead.

The process was explained to me very clearly. Mikki, the lady I spoke with was extremely helpful and friendly.

Homewise offer a controvercial service in its Home for life plan.
I found myself falling finacially short of enough capital to buy a home for my retirement and started a journey with Homewise.
5 months later, im down 3k and still living on my daughters Sofa.
The company are not registered with FCA as a loophole states they are not a financial lender, but a lease company.
It didnt work for me. The process
was longer than standard property purchasing. Not all solicitors will
deal with them and not all vendors
will sell to you through them.
My advice, if its for you fine but, really think and get advise from an
independant financial specialist.
Homewise pay no costs during the purchase or the length of the lease for repairs etc
and in my case(opinion)use the most expensive services to recommend.
Im buying with my daughter now instead, not ideal but at least she
keeps the house when I pop off.

I have now spoken with three different team members, Jermaine, Kiera and latterly Sam. All three have been exceptional in their clarity, communication skills and willingness to help ensuring that I clearly understood every step of the journey. We have great faith in Homewise and would willingly recommend all staff who we have spoken to. I cannot be specific on dates as the interaction Spanned 2 months.

I have been so impressed with the service i have received from the Homewise team especially from my allocated account manager Simi. Although I was a little anxious at the start of the process I was quickly reassured. Nothing was too much trouble for her all my queries were answered she was friendly, polite, professional and reassuring, she went above and beyond for me. I would definitely recommend Homewise without hesitation.

Let me start by saying I did not complete my transaction with Homewise and I am not a customer. I rang the Homewise team and I am assuming Mr. B from Homewise has given me the right advise. I asked a simple question as to what happens to the investment I make when I get to the end of my lifetime lease. In a year from now or even 25 I would like some share of the money I have paid to Homewise to be returned to my loved ones. He said if you do not opt to safeguard the future value of your home then your loved ones will receive nothing.

I am in my early 60's and was planning to buy a lifetime lease with £250,000 of my life's savings. If I proceed with the Homewise Plan my loved ones will not see a penny of this if I do not safeguard it (which they penalise as the percentage goes from 0% - 50%).

This cannot be a sound financial agreement at the latter stage of my life, surely?

Please tell me if Mr, B was wrong with this advise.

At some point in the process of looking for homes - first time buyer, 67 years of age, feeling rather shaky about what I am trying to do, an estate agent at Wards, referred me to Homewise given my age.

In no time, I was called by the calm, professional, knowledgeable Charlott. I felt my hand was being held by a most competent person. No “e” at the end of her name, take note.

Charlott has explained the bare bones of home purchasing for me. She clarified how HomeWise would purchase with ALL estate agencies in England and Wales, and all the help that she would give me.

Today I once again flooded Charlott with details over the phone, and she carried on listening to me. She asked pertinent questions, so I know that she was listening to me. What a star and how lucky I am.

There have been a few obstacles that I have had to wait on. Charlott has not given up on me! She is not only kind but extremely patient. I could not feel more reassured.

Everything went wrong i bought a lifetime lease from home wise about 5 years ago and I not happy with the property at there so many faults with the house which some of jobs I had pay for my self as I am 75 years of and finding it very had to do and I will not reckonmeding to anybody as homewise should not be trading 😞 😞 😢

Homewise Nightmare, just writing to let people know about the experience I had recently.The owner of the property I was purchasing was using Homewise for the onward purchase.
It was a total nightmare they caused us delays ,gave dates then changed saying weren't ready ,seemed un organised,
Lacked communication. Cost me fines for cancellation of mover due to their last minute cancellation.which then took weeks not days to sort.Seemed to have no regard for the stress they were causing So as warning if you have them in your chain beware.

Homewise explained how they work in conjunction with the lifetime lease. What the advantages and disadvantages are. I am very happy to have financial freedom as I am currently renting £1200 per month. Just to know in a few months I only have bills to pay this is the best decision I could have made and the property I am in the process of purchasing is my dream property.

I would strongly recommend Homewise even some of my colleagues at work are looking into Homewise on what they can offer them.

Thanks! We have found our dream bungalow and it's even in the perfect location in Lake on Isle of Wight. Together, Jordan and George have been so helpful, and always available either via email or phone. It was lovely to meet George in Portsmouth, who took me and my husband through the contract. We just look forward to sealing the deal and moving in now.

From first interaction with the Homewise site and subsequent discussion about using your service I was most impressed with the quality of help and service provided. This made making choices much easier because processes and issues were carefully explained and because I was given a 'one-person' contact who kept in touch with weekly updates my journey was good. I dare say, it wasn't always simple and not without much stress but Homewise did their utmost to get me to my chosen destination.

Not as advertised. False advertising

I found everything was fully explained and I was able to ask any questions in order to make the right decision as to whether Homewise was right for me. I have no doubt that it is.
