My parents and I arranged a delivery for 16th March, just as everything was starting with the Iran war. They managed to pay and secure oil for around £300 for 500L from homefuelsdirect.

The next day the oil price had gone to over £700 for 500L so they were relieved to have locked in the price.

An oil tanker from "Certas" arrived to my parents home. The driver inspected the tank and said there was a crack and therefore he couldn't deliver the oil to them. Bearing in mind, their oil was low and unfortunately one of my parents is terminally ill and must have a warm house.

The driver drove off. It took them six weeks in order to get another company to come our and look at the tank, to which they inspected it and said there was no issues with the tank and they'd deliver oil into it the very next day.

Homefuelsdirect, in cahoots with certas clearly knew they could get more than double for the oil, so fabricated a story about the tank in order to take it away and refund my parents and deliver the oil to someone else for a much higher price. Apparently this was a known tactic from this company during this period, as mentioned by the more honest oil company who came out to deliver the oil the other day.

This company are untrustworthy, and should be avoided at all costs.

2nd order with Home fuels Direct in UK.

The price was horrendous, but still as good as anywhere. Damn Trump!

Easy to establish price online and place order. Delivery is pretty quick.

First time purchasers - the company have been very helpful throughout.

Second order and again great service with HomeFuels Direct. The quote was quick, transparent, and competitively priced, with no hidden costs. Ordering was easy, and online communication throughout was clear, so I knew exactly when to expect delivery.

Had run out completely but in a few days had my tank filled. Arrived on time and completed without problem.

Ordered before Iran/USA debacle and paid for 1000 litres. When they tried to deliver, the driver deemed the tank unsafe. Asked what happened next and they said the order was on hold until the tank was repaired/replaced or I could request a refund. Asked for order to be kept on hold and then duly informed them several times, of progress re tank replacement over a period of 3 weeks. Did not request a refund.
Got credit card statement and found that they had refunded in full without permission or even without notifying me. No answers to emails - completely ignored. Now proceeding through the courts. Absolutely shamefull company and behaviour. Stick this review on your "Feedback Friday" email - I dare you.

I've done all that already, including a letter in the post. You just ignore everything but pretend you are dealing with it and that the issue is rare.

Brilliant, always deliver on the day they say that they are coming.

I priced up oil approx 3 weeks ago and a message online said due to the Iran war you were not taking orders. I then ordered from Boiler Juice and even got a £15 off voucher. I Ordered and they delivered 3 days sooner than the date they said.
Mon 6/4/26 got a call from a HomeFuels Direct man asking for payment before they could complete the order to which I said I didn't order and that was fine.
Tue 7/4/26 got a call from a HomeFuels Direct lady asking the same question and she was very rude. I have
previously recommended many people including my 3 daughters using them but no more after this mornings call. Strange other companies were able to look after customers when HomeFuels Direct couldn't, This may come back and bite you.

Been a regular customer for a few years with no complaints. Order oil on 2nd March and was given a delivery date of 3rd March. That's the last I heard from them.No delivery. No communication. At the end of the month I noticed my credit card account had a refund from them.
Whilst I understand that the Iran chaos kicked off shortly after I ordered, a little communication would have been nice so that I could have tried to order elsewhere. I'm now sitting in a cold house trying to find someone with some oil to sell.

Have used Homefuels Direct for a number of years but not recently. I'm not going to order until I know what price I'm going to pay which they state quite clearly on their website they cannot do. You can apparently order, wait to be told what the price is & cancel if necessary, but as they don't follow instructions or have a customer service telephone number & other reviews say they deliver regardless, that's asking to be taken advantage of. I ask this question of the owners or board of directors: if you were buying something but weren't going to be told how much you were going to have to pay until you'd taken delivery of it, would you shop with that retailer? At least if you give us a price we can make that choice. You know how much you've paid for your current stock/supply so come on, play fair.

Quick and easy process, ordered 3rd March 2026, Alister J

Until now HFD had provided a good service but I will not be using them again ever. My order was not delivered on the day I was told (16th March) . After waiting days for news I called their 3rd party phone support on 23rd March and I was told that my order had been "stopped" and HFD no longer had any tankers (small or baby) to fulfill the order, with no other choice I accepted the decision and requested my money back (3 to 5 working days). With knowledge that future deliveries of oil could be at risk I entered into a contract to install a heat pump with Octopus. However on the 29th March at 18:40 I was informed by email that I would be getting a delivery next day, I replied by email and made phone calls and left messages to stop it. Despite this the delivery driver came onto my property, unlocked my oil tank, and delivered the oil at 07:52 before the start of business, when I finally spoke to someone I was told it was too late, it was done. I feel like I've been mugged.

I've been trying without success to receive any communication regarding a cancelled order on the 5th March. The order was placed on the 20th Feb at £301.62 and was all confirmed, then without any notification the order was cancelled on the 5th of March a day before its expected delivery date. Our tank is on half a bar and we cannot afford to pay the current amount.

Good web site. Got quick quote for heating oil and order confimred without delay. Order then delivered on time no problems. All very good service thank you.

first time buying at Homefuels, order on 1st of march then on 2th was confirmed and delivery date schedule by 16th march, then on 16th got the email with a delivery confirmation for 19th, would like to have a date confirmation earlier, but then on the day the staff where educated respectful and all was great.
