Om HomeCooks

HomeCooks is built around one simple idea: you shouldn’t have to choose between food that tastes amazing and food that’s good for you.
That’s why we work with independent chefs and food businesses from across the UK to create a huge variety of meals inspired by authentic recipes, cultures and cuisines. It means flavour is never an afterthought, and neither is nutrition.
The result is healthy food you genuinely look forward to. High-protein, nutritionally balanced meals made with quality ingredients you’d recognise and ready in minutes.
With hundreds of dishes to choose from, eating well is easier, more varied and a lot more enjoyable.

Loved the stuffed peppers, really tasty, thank you. I found the Aubergine Curry a touch too spicy

Very good, but -
Overall very good but only 4/5 stars as I couldn't find out whether meals are delivered chilled or frozen, what preparation is required and whether the containers are microwave friendly.

Hi Ray,
Thank you so much for the kind review, and fair feedback on the information side. Quick clarity for you: meals arrive frozen, cooking instructions are printed on each pack for both oven and microwave, and yes, the trays are microwave safe. I'll pass the feedback on so we can make this clearer on the site.

Great flavour
I really enjoyed the flavour of this meal. The chicken was really moist too - always a bit of a worry with pre-prepared meals. Felt full after eating it as well

I’m very happy with the food
I’m very happy with the food and really enjoy the meals. It’s a great option for busy people like me who don’t always have time to cook.
My only concern is the packaging. Some meals, especially those with sauce, are not sealed securely enough and can leak. I’ve also noticed that delivery drivers don’t always follow the handling instructions on the boxes, which can make the problem worse.
I really hope you might consider changing the lids to a sealed, peel-off type, as this would help prevent leaks and make the meals much easier to transport.
Other than that, I’m very satisfied with the service and will continue using Home Cooks.

Hi Roxana,
Thank you so much for the kind review, and really fair feedback on both the packaging and the delivery handling. I'll pass both back to the team, sealed peel-off lids is a great suggestion.

I’m living the dream, join me.
I have been enjoying having these meals for a couple of months now. I’m loving the vast variety of meals I can choose from. I am disabled and was really struggling eating other meal prep programs, where they send you ingredients and you have to do all the prep work and cooking. By the theme I’d done that, I was too tired to eat it, and you couldn’t save some of the food for another time.
Home Cooked Meal are fantastic, all ready to put straight into my microwave, the longest I’ve had to wait for is 4 minutes, to have a fully cooked meal.
And if I don’t feel like plating it up ( as I’ve just had major surgery) I can eat it straight from the tray.
This is now my new life, living the dream, home cooked delicious meals by someone else. Why are you waiting, join me. 👍🏻🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
