Although I will never do any jobs for these slave labouring merchants, I would like to warn Drivers. They state 60 Days from Invoice they pay you and this is 2025 ! Where you can transfer thousands in seconds all around the world. They expect you to arrive on time, wear PIP etc, this paperwork that paperwork, park in loading bay, all this to cover their backs and use you, your Van, your risk . I really don't know why the Government doesn't put legislation in Courier work, so cowboys like these should be out of business.
Bottom line if they ask too much from you don't do any work for them.
See if these companies tried hiring a van by themselves for each job it would be in 100"s pounds but they will use your own van for peanuts and all the risks of transportation is on you. It's a mugs game, think about it.

Unable to follow simple instructions, keep arriving at hours we have already stated we are not open for delivery, been assured by the management team it wont happen only for drivers to completely block our driveway and cause a health and safety issue by forcing us to unload them while drivers are being loaded in the yard

Title: Unprofessional, Unethical, and Refusing to Pay – Avoid HBC Logistics

I have had a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience with HBC Logistics, which I feel I must share to warn others—especially small independent operators like myself—who might be considering working with them.

I provided my courier services to HBC Logistics in good faith, completing the jobs they assigned me efficiently and professionally. Since January, however, they have refused to pay what they owe me. I followed up with emails, phone calls, and reminders, all of which were either ignored or met with empty promises. Despite every effort on my part to resolve things amicably, they showed no intention of paying me.

I was left with no choice but to take legal action through the small claims court. This is time-consuming, stressful, and something no honest service provider should be forced to do just to get what they’re owed. HBC Logistics have treated me with total impunity—as if small businesses like mine don’t matter. They’ve shown no respect for my time, effort, or basic professional courtesy.

It’s a shame that companies of this size and reputation behave in such a disgraceful manner towards the very people who help keep their operations moving. If you’re a subcontractor or courier thinking about working with HBC Logistics, be very careful. My experience shows they cannot be trusted to pay fairly or treat you with the respect you deserve

I’ve been using HBC for our deliveries for quite some time now, and they are just fantastic. Although phoning up to arrange a delivery is very easy, we’ve now started using their customer portal, which makes life even easier. Our deliveries have been on time and delivered with care, what more do you want!!! If you’re after a professional delivery business, use these guys.

we recently used HBC Logistics to transfer court documents from Bedfordshire to London on an extremely urgent basis. he driver arrived on time (he was in fact 15 minutes early) and we received regular notifications as to where he package and eventually when it was delivered. This created instant peace of mind.

I found the service to be second to none and the costings to be entirely reasonable. I cannot recommend HBC highly enough

HBC COURIERS are highly professional, they provide a fast efficient and extremely competitive service.
We've been dealing with them for many years they are almost an extension of our company.

It’s important to mention that this review refers to Paul and another colleague of his and not entirely to HBC logistics. However, they are those to whom I spoke, therefore they represent the company.

I’m the MD of a small logistic company trying hard to make its way up in this highly competitive sector.

We are still at our beginnings and we strongly rely on a transport exchange, where we met and delivered many runs on behalf HBC for at least 18 months now.

We had a good relationship, although uneven as they are amongst the biggest players on this specific exchange, whereas we are amongst the smallest. Hence, they sell and we buy.

Nonetheless, we liked to work with them because, as I mentioned previously, they delegated to us many jobs and they they treated us well.

However, their brokers/ sales people have recently become more aggressive in terms of negotiation, thus more difficult to deal with paying us for the extra work we had to do and which hadn’t been agreed previously.

Last week, they sold us three jobs in one day, two of which turned to be far more difficult than expected and explained. We asked far too little extra just to pay our drivers off for their hard work.

Instead of saying thank you and pay us those £30, these guys blackmailed us by putting me personally in the position to choose between giving up on claiming for additional charges or giving up on collaborating with HBC.

I was very disappointed by such a behaviour, considering the fact that we’ve always delivered our service honestly and at our best at prices way below market.

I wouldn’t write this review if they didn’t do the worse. They reported my company on the exchange with no reason. That was vile gesture on their behalf.

Why would someone compromise the reputation and, as a consequence, the income of a company just because that specific company didn’t want to accept to work for nothing?!

Again, we are a small company with just a few vans and they know how difficult it gets for such companies like ours to buy jobs on the exchange if they have negative feedbacks. Nonetheless, they did this. This was very immature and irresponsible on their end.

In other words, they obliged me to write this review, unfortunately!

Never and issue resourcing drivers at the drop of a hat. Very reliable and easy access to POD's on the portal is a great bonus.

I started to use HBC when they moved to the Biggleswade warehouse as the company I work for is just around the corner and haven't ever had a bad experience. Their staff are all superb, friendly and always willing to help. There is always a vehicle available when I ask for one and even at very short notice. They are always fast to respond to an email with the best price quotes of any logistics company around, as most of our deliveries are usually to strict building sites HBC have always stuck to a delivery time if one is requested, I will continue to use HBC, not just because they are local, because frankly they are the best!

I have always had fantastic service from HBC - Anything I need they come back to me with competitive quotes.
