I’m Natalie, a busy mother of two, and just like so many others, I was juggling work, family, and friendships while the small jobs around my home kept piling up. The broken door handle that locked me in my living room, the dripping tap, the small section of water damaged kitchen floor—too minor for big tradesmen to want to do these jobs, but too frustrating to ignore. Which I tried. Looking the other way doesn’t work for long as I’m sure you know. ​ That’s when I decided something had to change. I created my very first ‘Fix It List’. Walking room by room, I wrote down everything that needed doing. Minor tasks I might try manage on my own (DIY is not my strong point), and anything else that would need a professional. ​ 100’s of YouTube tutorials later, the tools I didn’t have and the worry of getting it wrong. When I finally called professionals for help? Very few answered, or even worse—they did, but quoted sky-high prices, or never showed up. Finding the right people to do the jobs turned into a nightmare of calls, missed appointments, and unreliable tradesmen who didn’t want the smaller jobs. ​ That’s why I started Handy Group.
