SCAM Carpet Cleaners. I used this company 2 weeks ago to clean a bedroom carpet and as with other reviews ive been left with a smell of damp and mildew with in 24hours of the clean and its still there 2 weeks later. The service was so bad on the day I cancelled another rug that was initially booked to be cleaned. I have been refunded for the rug the wasnt cleaned but they have literally ignored to acknowledge any of my complaints about the carpet. I asked them to either offer to clean it again or give me a partial refund and they ignored both options. The cleaner they sent was unprofessional and rude and had bad body odour and hygiene which made the experience even more unbearable. Do not use them at any cost unless you want to spend weeks trying to set things right. I cant get another company to accept a new cleaning job as they dont know what handy cleaners did to create the smell so they wont touch it as they cant guaruntee getting rid of it. I now have to replace the whole bedroom carpet at more expense. I dealt with Angel and Kristen who were not helpful at all.

I’m very happy with the cleaning service provided by the team. They were professional, efficient, and did a great job getting the property cleaned and ready for the new tenants.

The communication and coordination were also excellent, and the team was very helpful with everything, especially given the short notice and tight schedule.

We booked and paid for an end-of-tenancy clean but the appointment was rescheduled four times, each time at extremely short notice (i.e. day-of) and for a different and vague reason (e.g. “operational issues”).

Two days before the new tenants were due to move in and after a very discouraging phone call with Kristine we had completely lost confidence that anyone would actually turn up so we cancelled the booking and had to arrange another cleaning company at very short notice. By this point we had already left the country and so this was very stressful to try and manage from overseas.

We immediately requested a refund, and we’d been assured by Kristine this would be possible as long as we canceled ahead of the clean.

Since then, we have contacted them several times by email and have left four
phone messages. We have received absolutely no response, no explanation and no refund.

The fact that the clean itself never happened is disappointing. But the subsequent non-response and no refund is a complete scam.

Avoid Handy Cleaners at all costs.

Booked carpet and mattress cleaning through Handy Cleaners / PROCARPET CARE LTD and it was an absolute nightmare.

The guy who turned up completely soaked both the mattress and the carpets. He poured so much water into the mattress that I couldn’t even sleep on it and had to sleep on the floor the first night. Now the mattress is covered in brown water stains/discolouration all over the top and sides, and days later the carpet is still damp and smells like mildew. On top of that, he was completely rude and abusive to my assistant while at the flat.

I’ve tried messaging the company multiple times with photos of the damage and they are completely ignoring me. Total lack of basic care or customer service. Avoid them at all costs—currently having to take legal action under the Consumer Rights Act to get compensation for the damage caused.

I paid them to clean the carpets in my 1 bedroom flat in March. They arrived 4 hours late and only spent 10 minutes cleaning the carpets (I was not present while they were there). When I inspected the flat later on, the carpet was just as dirty as before they were in. I tried complaining by email and phone and spoke to Kristine Blake, who was absolutely no help at all, despite sending them photo's of the dirty carpets.
I had to pay a different company to do reclean the carpets. Handy Cleaners now are not responding to my emails, asking for a refund.
They are completely incompetent, unprofessional and THIEVES!!!!!

I had my oven cleaned today and was extremely pleased with the results.
The two people that came to do the work were very prompt, nice and polite.
I appreciated them making sure the surrounding area was cleaned afterwards as well

If there was a zero star rating I would give that. I booked Handy Cleaners to clean my bedroom carpets but I wish I hadn't bothered as the result is far far worse than how they were before. I went away for 2 days after the clean and returned to the flat and it smelled absolutely fowl. The smell was coming from the carpets which still felt damp in places despite that I'd left the heating on high. I didn't trust Handy Cleaners to fix their mess so I booked another cleaning firm, who confirmed that the previous cleaner had used too much water and had not extracted it properly so the underlay of the carpet was still damp and that was causing the stink. I've just read someone else's review about a foul smelling carpet cleaning machine being used so I suspect it's the same guy. Not to mention that he was half an hour late and didn't even apologise or acknowledge his lateness.

Professional and friendly service, I would recommend handy cleaners to my friends and family. I'll use this service again.

I booked an end-of-tenancy clean. The cleaner was late, lacked proper equipment, and did a very poor job (floors not mopped, oven dirty, dust everywhere). I paid nearly £200 but had to re-clean everything myself for hours. Their customer service was dismissive and unhelpful when I complained. Total waste of money; avoid this company.

Although the company presents itself on its website as a professional cleaning service, my experience suggested that the cleaners provided were agency staff. They appeared to spend a significant portion of the allocated time on breaks or on their phones, and the cleaning that was completed seemed selective rather than thorough.
I still had a few items in the property (a sofa and a table) and did not expect these to be moved. Instead, I expected the bathroom and kitchen to be cleaned properly. However, both areas were left noticeably unclean. For example, the sink had been wiped, but the cupboards and several other essential areas were not cleaned at all.
When I raised my concerns, I was told the issue was due to me not reading terms and conditions supposedly included in an email. No such terms were provided, and when I questioned this, I received no further reply. I also offered a partial payment reflecting the standard of the work completed, but this was refused.
The company’s website advertises a money-back guarantee, yet they declined to honour this when requested. In my view, advertising a guarantee and then refusing to apply it could mislead consumers and may fall short of expected trading standards. I felt that this representation could give customers a false sense of security regarding the quality of service and the protections available to them. While I cannot comment on the company’s intentions, the discrepancy between the stated guarantee and the actual response raises serious concerns about the reliability of that claim.
Instead of addressing the guarantee, I was simply offered a £50 discount. Overall, I found the communication dismissive, and the service did not reflect what was advertised.

I booked an end-of-tenancy deep clean with Handy Cleaners in November for my small one-bedroom flat and it was a horrendous experience from start to finish. They weren’t interested in listening to my specific requests or areas I needed them to focus on.

The attention to detail was extremely poor: floors were not mopped, the microwave and oven were not cleaned, and there was dust everywhere. The cleaner didn’t bring any specialist cleaning equipment and the overall standard was unacceptable.

After paying them almost £200, I ended up having to clean my flat myself for three hours. Total waste of money.

Avoid this company – please don’t use them! Other reviews mention similar issues, so I wish I had checked more carefully beforehand.

I found the experience very easy to book. Got a reply immediately. A short delay on getting a response to some questions but I think the office may have been unattended for a short while. However they arrived on time and cleaned the carpets quite well. Will use again as price was fairly reasonable in today's over inflated market place.

Cleaners were over an hour late. Didn’t thoroughly clean, oven still dirty, microwave still dirty etc. Don’t use for end of tenancy clean.

I used Handy Cleaners to do a deep clean of my floors for my move-out. Below are quotes from my move-out report.

"Floors have not been professionally cleaned."
"Floor doesn’t appear to have been deep cleaned."

The team was beyond unhelpful when I raised this matter with them, and repeatedly ignored phone calls and sent me to voicemail.

Couldn't recommend less - do not use.

Booked an oven clean. I don't know what cleaning materials they used but they removed all the temperature markers and now I have to guess the temperature and whether fan oven/grill etc. I've rung twice and left messages, emailed and sent feedback. Nothing!

Extremely disappointing experience. Hired this company to clean my carpets but they managed to make them worse than before. They left multiple visible stains that weren't there originally, and when I tried to address these issues with them, they continue to ignore my requests two weeks later.

The technician appeared unprofessional and used a foul smelling machine that damaged the carpet fibers. What was supposed to be a routine cleaning turned into costly damage that I'll now have to repair.

Despite multiple attempts to reach customer service for resolution, I've received no attempt to resolve the issue. Save yourself the headache and money - avoid this company at all costs. They demonstrate zero accountability for their poor workmanship.

For a professional service, I was extremely dissatisfied. Overall the deep clean was sub-standard, not what I expected, and definitely not worth £102 as charged.

The cleaners did not have any specialist cleaning equipment,
they used scourers which has left numerous scratches on my cooker!

I do not recommend for oven cleaning services.
