It was great working with Elena who planned a trip for me, my spouse, and two teenagers. Private transfer for all scheduled tours and travel to airport/ferry. We flew into Athens for a 4-night stay. The hotel was in a vibrant area, a close walk of the Acropolis. She arranged a tour of the Acropolis and a local food tour for two of the days. Our 3rd day was spent on a full-day trip to Delphi. We then flew to Naxos which was beautiful. We stayed right on the beach, just a short taxi ride from the Castle and town. High winds resulted in cancellation of our boat tour. Elena was very accessible to try and arrange alternative activities. We had another food tour in Naxos. We took the Ferry to Santorini, where we stayed in Imerovigli (away from the bustle of Fira and Oia) and with great views of the caldera and sunset. We had a tour of Akrotiri, a hiking tour from Fira to Imerovigli, and a 5-hr semiprivate catamaran tour around the island. She arranged for the flight back to Athens where we caught our flight home. All tour guides and planned activities were excellent. She was readily available via WhatsApp throughout the entire trip.

We booked our long-awaited family vacation to Greece with Greece Insiders, and it was a spectacular experience. Our travel designer put together an unforgettable experience. My wife and I spent a week on Crete and met up with our adult children for the second week. We were a group of 7 and ventured out to Athens, Naxos and Santorini. Our trip involved wine tasting, an immersion into the Greek culture sampling food in various villages and walking the ancient streets from the times of the Venetians. Our time together as a family is precious and rare, and the investment to do a luxury tour of Greece is significant; but I can say we are very happy that we entrusted this trip to Greece Insiders. The memories of dining with my wife on a rooftop overlooking the sunset in Chania harbor, taking a private sailboat on the Aegean to the island of Dia and swimming in the crystal blue water are precious memories. We experienced our kids experiencing the rich culture of Greece. There are too many great moments to list, but sitting at the highest point of Naxos Town, in an old monastery turned restaurant, overlooking the harbor and sharing Portokalopita together, enjoying a delicious meal on a Catamaran in the Caldera and gathered as a family on the bow to enjoy the sunset, being amazed at the colossal structures of the acropolis and the myths and legends that surround it or sitting in a small village with our guide learning about classic Greek dishes and observing the how local residents spend their day are just a few. The accommodations, drivers, guides and excursions were all top tier and the whole trip went smoothly thanks to the detailed and meticulous planning and preparation of our travel designer and her team. I highly recommend booking your Greece adventure with Greece Insiders.

Thanos Nikopoulos was a pleasure to work with, and he planned a fantastic trip for us to Athens and the Greek Islands. The accommodations were exactly what we asked for, and the excursions well-suited and adapted to our requests. Thanos checked in on us regularly while we were on the trip and helped smooth things for us when they needed to change. He even stepped in to help us when our homeward flight was canceled and we needed last minute accommodation back in Athens for a night. I recommend Thanos and Greece Insiders heartily, and would definitely contact him for future travel!

Silia with Greece insiders was great to work with. She helped us plan an amazing trip to Greece with our teenage nieces. We visited Athens, Naxos and Santorini. This was the most stress free trip experience I’ve ever had. All the transfers between locations, tours, accommodations, and activities were amazing. We had no issues at all and she provided very descriptive details if we needed, but never had to use. Everyone we encountered was helpful and added to our experience. I definitely recommend them.

We had a blast in Greece thanks to "Travel Local" led by "Thanos" who arranged this beautiful trip for us.

They will contact you and assign an agent to you who will go through every detail on what you are looking into your trip. After that, they formulate an itinerary which you can arrange to your liking before you make your final payment. I have checked other Traveling agencies and they have been by far the most reasonable with high quality tours and professional guides who were all nothing but superb.

They did a superb job with organizing this trip with all the tours and trips being well arranged till the last detail. For example, they will give you suggestions on what to wear on certain tours, nearby attractions and restaurants along with the details on what is being served with photos and illustrations. This was very helpful for us.

Definitely highly recommended and will not be our last visit for sure. We are looking forward to plan for our next trip with "Travel Local".

We just returned from our trip to Greece, Egypt and Turkey, with a party of 7. While the majority of the trip was on a cruise that we booked ourselves, we used Elena at Greece Insiders for our pre-cruise stay in Athens and for a Pyramids tour in Egypt, as well as all of our transportation needs. We were very happy with everything that was set up for us. We were especially grateful to Elena for assisting with an unexpected last minute change to our plans. As we boarded our plane for Athens, we were notified by the cruise line that our itinerary had been modified, and we would be in Egypt a day later than planned. I immediately sent an email to Elena asking if we would be able to change the private tour to the Pyramids to the new date. Fortunately, this was able to be done. As the trip to the Pyramids was the main reason we booked this particular cruise, we would have been so disappointed to have missed it. Thank you Elena for everything!

My husband and I took a 16 day trip in beautiful, wonderful, interesting Greece. Wow, was it life changing! We had wanted to go there for decades and when it was finally time, I found Greece Insiders doing research online. It was clear to me that they were professional and that their clients respected them.....so we contacted Elena and she helped us plan a totally bespoke and personalized journey. Elena so thoroughly and sincerely dedicated her time with us to our specific needs and interests. She always put our dreams first. (my husband and I love cultural stuff) The back and forth with her was always thoughtful and sometimes hilarious. She is just the very best. Her authenticity and charm oozes out in every interaction we had with her. Elena is a genuine human. She was sensational and we had a dreamy, interesting and beautiful trip. We are already planning another one with her for next year. You can't go wrong with Elena and Greece Insiders.

For our trip to Greece, we wanted to focus on the ancient sites of Greek history and mythology. Compared to other tour companies, the 19-day tour of Greece Insiders was the MOST comprehensive package of ancient sites offered. Julia helped us tweak Greece Insiders’ suggested tour schedule to meet our needs and wishes, including the addition of two rest days – thankfully needed. I had a great working relationship with Julia from which we constructed the entire tour that we still think was perfect. With 22 days of logistics, it went without the slightest hitch – something to bear in mind when all you want to do is enjoy Greece and not worry about tickets, flights, transfers, etc. The tour was of the Greece mainland, the Peloponnese, and the islands of Santorini and Crete – all wonderful. Yannis was our driver/guide/conversational companion and at one point, our savior for the Mainland and Peloponnese part. He was easy going and knowledgeable such that the transit was made that much shorter and that much more interesting since we were always conversing about something while the beautiful Greece mountains passed by our windows. Drivers, guides (except one, but nothing’s perfect), and hotels were all at a level that made it a delightful and fulfilling trip. If you are thinking of visiting Greece and are interested in the history of this great country, past and present, go with Greece Insiders as your tour company – they proved to be of the highest quality, so much so that we are planning our return trip to Greece already using Greece Insiders. Visiting Greece was a bucket list vacation for me.
My husband and I celebrated our 10 yr anniversary in Crete and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end, thanks to Greece Insiders and Julia.

Julia tailored our trip to experience the outdoors and the flavorful cuisine of Greece, which were our top priorities.
Hiking the many gorges Crete has, including the famous Samaria Gorge and eating some of the best food I've ever eaten, was the best way we could have spent our time.

Thanos created a trip of a lifetime for my family and me to beautiful and bountiful Greece! We'll be back, and we'll definitely ask Thanos to design our next trip for us, too. His knowledge and expertise crafted our wish list into a wonderful trip that was well thought out and paced perfectly. In ten days, we travelled to Athens, Mykonos, Naxos, Santorini and Crete. We met wonderful people, ate delicious food, swam in the Aegean Sea, went sailing, hiking and horseback riding, took a cooking class, explored and learned about culture and history on scenic tours while collapsing at night in gorgeous, clean, comfy, lovely hotels. Everything was either a small group or private tour. We were picked up in luxury vehicles and taken care of from the moment we got off the plane in Greece until the time we returned home. If we ever had a question, Thanos and our local contacts we're immediately available to take care of us and ensure that we had the best of care. One time our ferry was delayed and the only reason we knew was because Thanos had sent us a text. All of the passengers around us were relying on him for updates and grateful for his attention and care.

As the person who is responsible for organizing my family's dream vacations, I am especially grateful to Thanos. This was the easiest trip I have every planned. Thanos took our criteria, listened carefully, and asked thoughtful follow-up questions that we hadn't thought of to create a dream vacation for our family of five. Everyone's needs were met from the twenty-year old to the eighty-year-old, from the vegans to the omnivores, from the one who needs air conditioning to the one who likes to sleep with the windows open. We were taken care of during this trip. It was amazing and beautiful! Our senses were full of wonder and in awe of this beautiful country. And, as for me as the organizer, it was the most relaxed I have ever been on a trip from the moment I connected with Thanos to plan the trip to our departure and beyond. That is priceless.

I always think the highest compliment is "Yes!" to the question, "Would you go back?" Our family gives a resounding, "Yes!" to not only returning to Greece, but also to go on additional adventures in Europe because we know that we are in great hands with Thanos. Bar none the best vacation we have ever been on. Julia from Greece Insiders took care of every last detail. We were given VIP treatment from the moment we touched down in Athens. Our tour guides were knowledgeable, local people. Our trip was customized to our preferences, which, for us, included some unstructured days to get a feel for the local culture and explore Greece! All while knowing we had a lifeline to Julia if we needed help. We came home well rested but we cannot wait to go back and explore all the islands we missed. We just came back from an amazing trip to Greece. We have worked with several travel agencies in the past but decided to use Greece Insiders this time around. We decided to go with them for their good reviews online.
It is always a gamble to deal with a travel agencie you do not see in person.
We were not disappointment with our decision to go with them.
Thanos stepped up to the challenge of putting together an adventure with less than a month notice. Thanos delivered a program that covered everything that we have requested for.
He was in constantly communication with us and was corresponding even when it was late at night (their local time) and on the weekends. He was very patient with the constant inquiries and last minute changes we requested.
He never said no and tried hard to make everything asked for to happen but will advise accordingly when somethings were not practical or feasible to happen.
Everything went very well. He provided a very detailed itinerary that included pick up/drop off time, tour agency details and contact information along with an impressive line of suggested places to eat/dine (complete with descriptions and website links) during our free times.
The accommodations were all outstanding. Thanos arranged for all of our land, air and water transfers. The local tour agencies they worked with were all exceptional and very professional. Everyone was prompt and on schedule.
Thanos continued to check with us during the entire trip. The best part of it all - He took time to personally come meet with us during the trip.
It was truly an unforgettable experience and we thank Thanos and his team for making it all happen.

Our trip designed by Thanos was absolutely amazing. Every detail was meticulously taken care of—from drivers to planes to ferries—so we never had to worry or even think about anything except enjoying our journey. From the first contact to the the drop off at the airport we felt taken care of. I traveled with a friend (2 ladies in our 60’s). Travel quite a bit out of the U.S. To fell safe is always a comfort. We were heard in what we wanted to do. Excellent service.

Greece Insiders were the best travel agents we could've ever asked for. When planning our honeymoon, we wanted a stress-free, laid-back, yet romantic trip. Elen, planned our itinerary to be exactly what we were looking for. The perfect mix of excursions, tours, and free time as we traveled through Athens, Paros, Naxos, and Santorini! Our favorite part of the trip was probably our sunset cruise with "Sunset Oia" on the last evening of our trip. We just completed three weeks in Greece and a week in Turkey, all planned by Eleni at Greece Insiders. From our early trip planning conversations until we were home from our trip, Eleni was a rock star. She helped us plan a flawless trip with a nice balance of activities and free time.

During the planning she listened to our preference and adjusted to fit our needs. There were a couple of times when we had questions about a particular hotel or activity and she thoroughly explained why she was making those recommendations. We were always glad we listened to her guidance and relied on her expertise. Every guide, every transfer, every hotel was spot on!

The private tour guides were splendid, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Our Greece Insider planner and local contact for our trip was also very kind and helpful. There were a few bumps on the tours that were scheduled on itinerary and one issue with our Milos hotel reservation but still really fantastic. We would probably have made different plans on ferry days but having not planned a trip with touring company prior to this we really didn’t know better, we should have tried to schedule ferry rides differently if possible.

My husband and I just completed a two week tour through mainland Greece arranged throurgh Greece Insiders with Elen as our contact. It was a wonderful experience, mainly because the drivers, Panos and Solon were outstanding, and the local guides on each part of our trip were both knowledgable and were happy to answer all of our questions. Maria, the guide in Thessaloniki was especially helpful, arranging admission to the synagogue for us. Panos and Solon took us to off the beaten track locations, and restaurants where only locals eat. Elen was always available to answer questions, and deal with minor issues. I strongly recommend this company for an outstanding trip.
