We really appreciate the hotel choices! They are always very close to public transportation, have a wonderful breakfast buffet, clean rooms and local charm.

Everything turned out great. The transfers were on time. The hotels rooms were nice and we loved the trip to the Parthenon.

I enjoy self driving tours and this one in Scotland covered a good bunch of ground. Only had the car from Edinburgh to Inverness then to Glasgow - having the Hop on Hop Off bus tours in Edinburgh and Glasgow made getting around to the big city sights easy,.
The hotels that were booked were well placed for easy walking in the city, close to dining, and great breakfast choices. We liked being able to choose activities early to add to our trip total.
We had some issue with our outgoing flight, since it was with-in 30 days of the trip and we had not purchased insurance GVV could not help us but they did answer our calls and give us some guidance.

The accommodations were very good for the price. Overall the trip was pretty seamless except for air travel that they have no control over of course. It took the hassle out of research and booking everything myself. I would book with them again. I would recommend longer trips though. 3 cities in a week was a lot. No time to relax much.

I’m so happy that we were the inaugural group for this taste of Portugal and Spain tour. The sixteen of us really had a splendid experience. I had not been to either country before and this coach trip really was a super way to see the landscape. Snow capped mountains in the distance and beautiful agricultural fields along with bustling cities and towns and unique architecture (from monasteries and convents to skyscrapers and bridges).

The less than stellar parts of the tour were: not enough time allocated to the visits to select places given traffic and the need to have more time in restaurants; too many early departure times; quality of hotels — two hotels were on the very outskirts of cities and totally inappropriate in terms of very dated accommodations (these also had the worst breakfasts and coffee and staff); and no green wine tasting because we were in the wrong area of Portugal (despite what the tour itinerary stated about a green wine tasting!)

Our tour guide was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful; he became a friend to us all and kept us on track and in the know. Kudos to Paulo!

This was the second time that my sister and I traveled using GVV.

Had a great experience. Everything went smoothly. Our tour guide was amazing he went beyond what was expected. The hotels were comfortable and the bus was roomy. Everything was top notch

The package is great except for the location of our hotel in Rome (quite far from most of the attractions).
Another thing is the AC temperature in every hotel, except for Hotel Gardenia couldn't be adjusted, so we just open the window at night to cool down. Everything else went well and we enjoyed it.

The names on our reservation was incorrect. The first name and middle names was merged together so it did not match the passport. I was told by several custom service reps that this would be correct 3 days before we left. This was never corrected so we were not able to check in with the airlines. Layover was 1 hour. We were in the line for passport and customs for 2 hours. We had to rebooked on a different flight so we could catch our connecting flight. I will say once we got to our destination, the accommodation and traveling vouchers were outstanding. if we use great value vacations in the future, we hope our experience would be a five star instead of a three star. My recommendation for great value would be to always give at least two hours between connecting flights, and to follow up when the client calls with ticket issues instead of 3 days before leaving as your policy states,(but was never done) Change your policy!

What made the experience great was that everything was planned, allowing enough wiggle room to plan our own activities, as well as have the big attractions planned out. Can't beat the cost savings. And the communication was great, keeping us informed on changes or any additional things we needed to do before our trip. No complaints!

This is the second time we took this exact trip and we were just as pleased as the first one! It was so easy to follow the trip itinerary, which takes all worries out of planning. It is was simple and seamless. The location of hotels were all in areas that enabled us to visit the most beautiful places we wanted to visit. We cannot wait to book another trip with Great Value Vacations!

We did not like the fact that we needed to drive for 3 hours after 12 hours of flight to the hotel on roads that are very narrow and treacherous, not to mention the way they drive in Italy. The hotels were nice. JFK is also one of the worst airports in our opinion. There was nothing to do in terminal 8 where our flight was out of. Our experience in Italy was nice.

We’ve travelled with Great Value before and have always had a 5 star experience. While we had a great time, I give this package (Budapest, Vienna and Prague by rail) 4 stars at best. I accept some responsibility because I should have looked over the literary and arrival times more carefully. We did not arrive to Budapest until after 1700 and only had 1 full day there. The hotel was adequate, and slightly outside the city center. We opted to skip the train from Budapest to Vienna and instead opted for a “day trip”to Vienna via Bratislava as we were able to hit a couple more places that we would have otherwise missed. Again, we did not get into Vienna until after 1900, but it would have been the same had we taken the train. The hotel was nice, but in a residential area which was 20-30 minutes away from anything. If you are adept at taking public transport, you would have been okay. We like to walk the city at night for photos, so this did not work for us and we were quite disappointed. Also, our 1 full day there fell on a Monday when many of the museums are closed. Real bummer. We took the train to Prague which took about 5 hours. Again, we did not arrive until 1900. The hotel was very nice and situated in the castle district so we were able to check in and head out immediately to catch some sights and photos. Prague Castle is less than a 10 minute walk away and grounds are open until 2200. This is a MUST to see at night. No crowds and the lighting is AMAZING! Prague was the highlight of our trip. All in all, this was not enough time at each city. Our itinerary only allowed 1.5 days (at best) in each city. With a departure time of 0645 on the day we were scheduled to leave. The itinerary did not allow for enough time…especially if the full day falls on a Monday. You need at LEAST 2 full days, ideally 3 in each city. Also, keep in mind that shops are closed on Sundays so plan ahead. There is so much to see that we didn’t even scratch the surface. We will definitely go back, but plan for longer stay and more centralized hotels. My advice is to look over the scheduled times carefully and make any changes accordingly before finalizing the booking. The package price was a steal and we would do it again with some modifications for a less rushed experience.

Other than Dublin, all the stops were boring and really nothing to do. We left 2 days early, cost us over $3000, more than the trip thry GVV.

The hotel was fantastic and the package, including the add-ons, was a great value. I am most impressed however, with the customer service. Upon reviewing my booking information the night before an international departure I discovered that I had entered some incorrect information regarding airline passenger ID. A phone call resolved the issue within 30 minutes.

had a great experience with great value vacation. my only complaint would be that the hotels were not centrally located . i feel like we ended up spending the same in ubers/taxis as if i were to have stayed in a more central hotel

We booked for triple room, but none provided us the third bed

In an all inclusive offer, the connecting trips to the hotel and BSI should be included, or explained clearky when these were not. The excursions trips were allocated at noon, leaving no time to explore other areas. Finally, too many documents, vouchers etc. It was difficult to sort for important ones. This trip was a downgrade from another one in 2017, that was excellent.

The third hotel we went to the bottom floor we had to trudge through water in all the carpet and it smelled like mold. There were air vents all through out the hotel trying to dry spots in the walls and ceiling where the hotel had water leaking. There were buckets in the shops catching water and so we decided to fly home early. We had to pay for early flights out of our own pocket. Keep in mind this was before the flooding started in Hawaii. I would never recommend this to anyone after our experience unfortunately.. It ended up not saving us money but costing us a lot more than if we would have booked everything ourselves.

The hotels were not that great. Other than that, we had a good experience
