There must have been a glitch in the system. I didn’t receive a confirmation when I booked online. I didn’t receive any notice or email with my confirmation details either. I had to call to verify that I had, in fact, booked my rail journey.

Ease of evaluating trip and options for rooms. Trips are well explained as well as costs. Booking was easy.

We wanted to book a Prestige Cabin on the Premium Canada Coast to Coast trip in 2027. I worked with both Efi and T to put a deposit down on the August 2027 trip with the understanding that if a Prestige Cabin was not available, my deposit would be returned. They made it very easy to make this reservation, and I hope that the Prestige Cabin is available for us.

We had never traveled by train and couldn’t wait for the experience. It was a very expensive 17 day trip, of which three long days across the whole of Canada from Toronto to Jasper cramped in a tiny room in which we could hardly turn around. If the Canadian is typical of all trains, it would be our last train trip. Other than the sleeping quarters, the employees and the food were both fine. The hotels were fine but no time to see Quebec as we left the next day after one of their excursions. The itinerary was lovely but as I said earlier, one of our main objectives was the train. We bought Premium level, which I thought was the highest level. It wasn’t, yet very expensive. I must say, in spite of the miserable three days on the train, our tour manager was phenomenal and helped make it bearable for us. Never again for us on a train!

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Answered all my questions about the tour I was interested in. There were some errors in the details of my trip when confirmation emails and insurance email were sent which required me to call back to have updates made.

There were some challenges with my reservation changes due to my own request, and they worked very hard to accommodate and make sure I didn’t lose my deposit or my planned trip!

I didn't feel that he was giving me time to ask questions - he was just getting my information and I had to call and correct the address that he wrote down.

The man who took my booking got two things wrong, my companions last name and it does not look like I received a discount I was supposed to. I contacted back immediately but have not heard anything yet.

We were able to call and book with the AARP discount, and our agent got things done quickly and efficiently. The only reason we lowered our rating from 5 stars is that we had to call: we couldn't apply the discount through online booking.

Chris made the whole booking process a breeze. Only thing I didn’t like was that I was told I had to call Havila directly to request an upgraded suite. When I called Havila…they couldn’t fing my booking or reservations and told me it had to be requested by the booking agent. So, I called GRJ back and spoke to Abby. She said that was correct and she would send the request. A little bit of a run around for something I guess Chris should have known about rather than just giving me Havila s phone number.
