If there were more options, i'd give 5* for the quality of the suits and the workmanship, along with every interaction we had with Sonny.
Unfortunately the main reason to remove a star was due to timing taking us down to the wire and meaning one of my customisation request couldn't be rectified when missed. Sonny however offered more than fair compensation, apologising for the oversite.

In Jan 2025 I met with Sonny and ordered my Wedding suit, 3 suits for my Groomsmen, 2 Suits for the Bridal Party and the suit for the Father of the Bride.
My suit was a custom suit with some unique embellishments. Everything was delivered as requested except my custom lining, which was generic black.

The other suits were off the rack suits with some tailoring to fit.
Unfortunately one of my Groomsmen could not attend the fitting, so had to have his suit posted. Due to Sonny having a shop refurbishment and moving all stock from the store to his new temporary location, there was some delay in the sending which did not allow a lot of time for adjustments to be made to that groomsmen's suit.

Overall, the experience with Sonny was great and the issue's we had were not major in the grand scheme of things. I'd recommend Sonny to anyone in London looking for great suits for wedding or day to day!

No major alterations required after initial measurements, suit fit really well.

Had no issues with the quality, the fit was incredibly comfortable and light enough to spend the entire day (and evening) in without issues and the design matched expectations.

I received a wedding suit which was made to the wrong size, using low quality fabric, and just generally of poor quality. The stitching was substandard and the trousers seams began to separate after only being worn once. Communication was also terrible, with the groom having to constantly chase up on my inquiries and an average response time of around two weeks. This included multiple assurances that the suit would be posted "tomorrow" but it ended up taking nearly a month, resulting in the suit almost arriving too late for the wedding.

There were several other signs of poor quality such as the sleeve head being so oversized that the suit jacket fit poorly and made it difficult to move in.

Update: The business claims this review is about a different business, but I have multiple email exchanges directly from the owner confirming the situation. One email states:
“Hi Doug
Apologies, I lost your contact details so I couldn’t get in touch.
My next availability is next Friday unfortunately, I am only in the shop sporadically between then and now.”

TrustPilot has verified these emails as authentic, though I cannot upload them directly here due to Trustpilot’s format restrictions. I can't post them to Google as the company has turned 'posting off'.

Original review: Took trousers to be altered last year, and the tailor said he'd text when complete. That never happened, and for months, I've been unable to regain contact. I visited the store a couple of times in the summer, during opening hours, but no one was there.

Calls and emails are not being answered or returned, and now Google says the store is permanently closed.

I want my trousers back. Perhaps the work isn't high-value enough for the vendor to be concerned.

California resident visiting London wanted English gentleman’s wardrobe.

Sonny met me at my hotel suite and delivered a beautiful wardrobe perfectly tailored and priced fairly.

This is, as far as I am concerned, the best show in town. Sonny is a truly fine professional. Always willing to find solutions to any problem and nothing is ever too much.

He provides advice but respects personal preferences, whenever they emerge. He has a good eye for what works and what doesn't for a given individual and body shape. He has tremendous knowledge of materials, styles, and what needs to be done to achieve the client's objectives.

I had my first suit done here recently and will continue to buy suits from Grant & O'Sullivan for many years to come.

Highly recommended to anyone with a fine taste and a requirement for the best of the best, yet at prices that are not extortionate.

An outstanding service from a true gentleman in every sense of the word. The suit(s) I have had from Sonny are superb. Nothing is to much of a problem when going through the ordering/sizing process. A genuinely nice bloke who provides excellent clothing at a great price.

I rarely, rarely do reviews... But my experience with Sonny at Grant & O'Sullivan tailoring was nothing short of exemplary and I feel I must tell folks about it! If I could give it more 'stars', I would.

Care, attention to detail, personality, charm; nothing was too much for Sonny and no question too daft! He came to my office in London yesterday to drop the suit off after 1 consultation, 2 measuring sessions and a bunch of texts and phone calls.

I told myself I'd look at some proper, personal tailoring when I commissioned from Sandhurst a number of years ago - I never got around to it. I then said I'd prioritise it if I got a promotion at work earlier this year as a 'go on then, well done' to myself. I wish I'd done it years ago. Having since had bespoke military tailoring at work, I knew what I was missing out on!

Ordered a tie pin with a Ruby stone in it for mum and dad's Ruby wedding anniversary. The tie pin arrived ... with a different coloured stone (definitely not as pictured). I have since tried to call the store several times as I could not find anything about returns/exchange policy on website. I have not been able to get through at all. I have also filled out the online 'contact Us' form ... no reply. £55 down the drain.

Really impressed with this service. Sonny (and team) have been professional, responsive, competitively priced- and most importantly made one hell of a suit for my big day! Highly recommend.

I met with Sonny because I wanted a very specific suit designed for a James Bond film. (For those who care, it was the midnight blue dinner suit in Dr No).

Sonny (the owner) actually knew exactly the dinner jacket I was referring to and even managed to source some archival patterns so he could produce it perfectly.

The experience was 100% and prices reasonable (although I think he gave me a discount as I am ex-military so I won't post what I paid here just in case)

Overall I highly recommend this tailor. Coffee he serves is great too!
