We are an independent, family run soft furnisher based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Established in 1968. We offer fitting and measuring services within our local area and have an extensive book and sample library at our showroom on Kings Road. We look forward to welcoming you to help with your soft furnishing needs. If you are unable to visit our shop please visit our website where you will find a comprehensive range of designer fabrics and wallpapers. On our website you can also order bespoke curtains, blinds and cushions which are made in our workrooms. Shocking service
Shocking service. Took 3 months for delivery, should have known when had issue even with the samples not turning up! had to chase for delivery then funny enough they turned up 3 days later! . Won’t use again.

We are genuinely sorry that your experience did not meet the standards you rightly expected from us, particularly as a returning customer who had experienced no previous issues with delivery times etc. We acknowledge that this order took longer than our advised lead time and that you had to contact us for an update. We accept that our communication throughout the process should have been better.
As explained previously, the delay was caused by unforeseen fabric supply issues from the manufacturer together with a backlog in our production schedule. While this does not lessen the inconvenience caused, we would like to reassure you that your order was not lost and was completed and delivered as soon as the materials became available.
We also appreciate your frustration and regret that the goodwill gesture we included was not suitable for your requirements.
Your feedback has been shared with our team and has been taken seriously as we continually work to improve our service. We would like to thank you for your previous orders and your patience throughout this matter.

This has been a dream experience. The consultation and advice for the fitting was second to none and the quality of the product is amazing.
I had bought poles and curtains before and was thrilled with the outcome and this time I had to get advice as was using a track system. Graham and team were so patient and gave amazing advice and the proof is in the fabulous result.

We are sorry to hear you were unhappy with your experience.
For all orders shipped outside of the UK, UK VAT is removed at checkout and import taxes/duties are then charged by the destination country’s customs authorities and courier. In your case, €44 of UK VAT was deducted from your order before shipment.
This information is also outlined on our shipping page, and we provided guidance by email once you contacted us. We understand these charges can be frustrating, but they are standard for international shipments and are not fees set by us directly.

The order process seemed disjointed. It wasn’t made clear to customers that you order the material and wait for it to arrive and then send it to the customer. Can it not be sent direct to customer directly.

Dear Sandy, Thank you for your feedback — we’re sorry the ordering process felt unclear.
As we offer thousands of different products, we don’t hold stock of every item. Instead, materials are ordered in specifically once a customer places an order, which can add an extra step before dispatch. We do offer direct shipping from our suppliers in some cases, but for smaller orders — like 1 metre of fabric — the cost of sending it directly is significantly higher than standard delivery, often exceeding the shipping amount paid at checkout.
In your case, the fabric was already discounted from the original RRP, so sending it via our usual process allowed us to keep both the product price and delivery cost as low as possible.
That said, we completely understand that this wasn’t made clear enough during your order, and we’re working on improving how we communicate this so expectations are clearer from the start. Thank you for raising it — your feedback really helps us improve.
