Great helmet

Great helmet. Came as described. Greater service as I was in an accident and my new helmet was destroyed. But the accident replacement policy was explained to me and am know waiting on it to arrive. Great company. Great product. Saved my life!!

I got my helmet slightly damaged and the company quickly responded and resolved to my full satisfaction. It did took a little longer to get here since it shipped from China but the whole online experience and issue was smooth and quickly.

You get what you pay for

You get what you pay for, for sure. It took 3.5 weeks to receive from China. The helmet is “ok” but nothing special.

You can definitely tell it is a cheaper helmet, not super tight parts kind of janky and loose kind of like getting what you pay for.

I am not sure I even feel safe wearing it to ride, even with the DOT sticker. I mean who makes sure that they are DOT compliant?

Anyway not bad for the money.

This company claims to be in the US

This company claims to be in the US, but the tracking showed the helmet came from China. When we received it, it was too small and poorly made. We were told WE would have to ship it back to China! What a ripoff

I tried to cancel the order after reading some reviews, no surprise, they told me it could not be cancelled! Once the helmets did arrive, they were too small to fit comfortably and we did use their measuring guide before ordering. UPDATE: After contacting our Credit Card Company and finally getting in touch with someone from Gear Rider, Gear Rider agreed to refund the costs of the helmets and has made everything right. It was a difficult process to get things resolved, but they did resolve it to a reasonable outcome in the end. Therefor I have upgraded this from a 1 star to a 4 star review.

Helmets don’t match order size chart

I ordered a R6s helmet and went by size chart provided. Helmet way to small and have been trying to contact them on site provided. Even though I have all order, tracking and confirmation numbers they can’t find my order in there system, how convenient ! Now I have a 200.00 helmet that no one can use. Save a major headache and Just don’t order from them!!!!!’

The helmets are trash.

The helmets are trash.
They have very little padding, very uncomfortable.
They do not fit according to their sizes.
They want me to send product back to china.
It will cost more than the original price.

Once my helmet arrived I opened the poorly packaged product to find a big crack in the helmet, I immediately contacted the company to let them know my helmet was cracked. I requested a new helmet but they told me its just a piece they can send and replace with a how to video. I looked all over the internet and theres no video of this type of helmet so I requested the video again and told them this doesn't look like it comes off. They told me to wait for the part and theyll send the video afterwards. I waited past the amount of business days to receive the replacement part they claim they shipped. Theres no proof they shipped anything. I have the shop app and nothing is there as far as shipments or tracking info. But on the gear rider website it says tracking info received with my old order and a new order number, no replacement part . I believe they did that to stall and have me stop contacting them for a while. I got fed up with the games so I told them im returning the helmet they said they'd pay for shipping but they kept coming up with excuses not to. I've been to three different shipping facilities but gear rider keeps giving me the run around. I would not recommend this company to anybody. They've been telling me ill get a percentage back for the inconvenience just to make it seem like theyre doing good business I never got anything back. Do not shop here. I even went to a local bike shop that sells cycle gear they couldn't find this helmet or part anywhere online either. That should tell you something.

I've been charged by Gear Rider for a…

**edited review** I finally got my helmet. Be prepared to wait a while once ordered. I've been charged by Gear Rider for a product. It has been 3 days and they say they can't find my order number. They have not sent me a tracking number either. I have emailed them and gotten no responses. Don't waste your time with this company. Now I must go to my bank to dispute the charge.

Received a helmet that had a defective…

Received a helmet that had a defective liner. They keep giving me the run around trying to send me a new liner. I have asked how to return it for a refund several times and they ignore me. I did not spend money on a new helmet just to have to "repair it" before I can use it. Terrible product and even worse customer service. Will never shop here again and will advise others not to as well.

One of the worst customer experience…

**READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH**

One of the worst customer experience I’ve had it took a month to get it. I thought it was coming out of New York when I got it I ordered an extra extra large adult helmet. I received a child’s helmet. BEWARE OF THEIR 30 DAY RETURN POLICY!!! You will have to send it to China and the cost is about $600 for one helmet. Ridiculous..

** update they say they will give me my money back or a new helmet however, they already had me mail my helmet back to them, which cost me $104 to do via US Postal Service.

**UPDATE 5/15/25

So I kept getting emails back from these folks saying I had a dispute on my credit card. They said I have to stop the dispute before they can issue me the money I sent them numerous times that I’d stop the dispute. Well they wanted me to stop the dispute so now they don’t have to refund me any money at all. And I can’t issue another dispute on it through my bank so now I’m out the helmet I’m about $108 and I’m out $170.00 for a kids helmet..

**. BIG WARNING**. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKED**. I was informed by my bank that I do not have to stop the dispute for them to issue me the money as they lied and said I did.

NO EVIDENCE OF PASSING US DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION CERTIFICATION JUNK! (satisfied with THAT wording?)

ELECTRONICS ARE OBSOLETE - READ THE DESCRIPTION VERY CAREFULLY - THEIR STUFF IS 10 YEARS OLD

You don't receive everything that's…

You don't receive everything that's supposed to come with it I ordered a helmet with times 2 Bluetooth earpieces they sent one and said it was a misunderstanding

I purchased the R3 Modular Helmet with…

I purchased the R3 Modular Helmet with Bluetooth. I was surprised to find it was being shipped from China. The tracking info was accurate and shipping was transferred to USPS once in the US. I received the helmet in about 2.5 weeks. The helmet is fantastic. STYLE, FIT, and quality are compatible to helmets twice or three times the price. Due to direct from China I think. I highly recomend this Helmet. Oh, the helmet has no mic.

This company is Unsafe.

They claim to sell equipment fit for motorcyclists, but do not actually sell motorcycle equipment.

This company is a fraud.

If you wear this helmet, you will likely suffer a much worse head injury vs simply purchasing a helmet from a trusted, reliable manufacturer of equipment for motorcycling on public roads.

This equipment is not safe for use for human beings who wish to protect their heads from injury while on any type of motorized vehicle.

On top of that, I told them this was hot garbage and didn't even charge when I plugged it in. and then they had the nerve to waste my time instead of simply initiating a refund.

I'll happily mail their hot garbage back to them, at my own expense -- otherwise it will go in the dump, as this is not safe to gift to anyone.

The helmet ..supposedly.. had speakers built in. But those are junk too.

Overall, 0/10. You are putting your life at risk by doing business with this company.

I gave them an opportunity to stop wasting my time, and they did not take me up on this offer.
