Absolutely horrible
Absolutely horrible. A 30 month old, top end GE microwave stopped working in February, 2026. GE arranged a repair service to visit. The tech agreed that it didn't work. Duh. I was handed a bill for $130 which I refused to pay. (Since then I've received several duplicate bills in the mail which were immediately deposited into recycle.). I was then sent a replacement at 30 percent off the normal price. Although it worked, it arrived with a very large dent in the side which caused me concern that it might affect the useful life of the device. Another service came out, looked at it, agreed it was a big dent, and told me there was nothing they could do and I need to get hold of GE. They have not sent me a bill so I don't have the satisfaction of not paying them. I have had numerous conversations with Bothwell staff, all of whom are friendly, polite, and professional, but none of whom have been able to help me at all. GE products are not worth the money and their customer service is dreadful. I will never, as in not ever, buy another GE product. Our other appliances are Bosch and we should have bought a Bosch microwave even though they're expensive but at least they work.

In August of 2023 I paid $1999.99 for a Crosley made by GE. Refrigerator. 2 years and 7 months later it died. Estimates for repair is $1500.
GE says 1 year warranty. Luckily I live in Maine so they have to warranty it for 5 years. Communication has been abysmal. I had to email them a copy of the invoice and the estimate for repairs. Days later with no response I called.
When I finally heard from a “manager”. The offer was “we’ll repair it or buy it back for $1300.” When I debated the decision I was told “it is what it is”.
I’ve decided to let them spend more to repair it. When I asked for an email outlining our conversation and the plan going forward, the “manager” said “I don’t have an email address”. I reminded her that she had just read my email to them. Ridiculous and incompetent. Absolutely the last GE appliance we are purchasing.

Awful
Awful! My washer was still under warranty. It takes over a week to get an appointment, then they change it without speaking with you. Never mind you had waited for them for a week when you could have gotten someone else, and never mind you had set time aside to meet with them.
GE has the worst customer service
We have a GE dryer less than 6 months old within warranty period. They took almost a month to send a technician who within 5 minutes left saying GE will send the starter kit. After the kit was received, the GE technician called and asked us to install it ourself and cancelled the appointment. This is the worst kind of customer service and would never recommend anyone to buy their products.

We bought a GE washer. It started throwing out an orange substance in January smell and looks like rust.several repairmen have come out and everyone of them had a different diagnosis. THE WORST APPLIANCE REPAIR COMPANY EVER! GE has partnered with a garbage company called Bodewell. Rude staff, same-day cancelled service appointments, takes forever to get repair date, and forever to get replacement parts! We will NEVER purchase another new GE Appliance until GE separates from Bodewell! RUDE, especially Jessica and Tasheoni, who could benefit from some customer service training!
Unvetted subcontractors used by GE/Bodewell
My brand new GE microwave is taking twice as long as my old GE microwave to heat everything, even though it is the exact same model microwave. My experience with customer service was horrific! Eventually when a tech arrived, he stunk terribly and spoke almost no English. I seriously doubt that the tech was vetted at all by GE. He heated some water in a cup and told me there was nothing wrong with the microwave. He then proceed to talk on his phone for about 10 minutes and when I asked him to please speak in English so I could follow along, he refused. I eventually threw him out of my house because I couldn't stand the smell of him any longer. Is this the best we can do in this country? Shame on you GE and your new company, Bodewell.
This is the worst refrigerator I have ever owned
This is, without question, the worst refrigerator I have owned in over 40 years.
We purchased a brand-new home that came with GE appliances installed by the builder. From the beginning, the refrigerator produced a very loud humming noise that could be heard throughout our living area. It was disruptive enough that we had to turn the television volume up to mask it.
We contacted service and scheduled a repair visit. During the first appointment, the technician refused to address the issue because the noise was not occurring at that exact moment, even though I provided a video recording clearly documenting the problem.
After capturing another recording, we scheduled a second service call. This time we were told a sound dampener would be installed on the compressor. We specifically explained that the noise was not coming from the compressor, but our concerns were dismissed. A follow-up visit was scheduled to install the part, and as we predicted, it did not resolve the problem.
At that point the refrigerator was only a few months old, yet the noise was so excessive we could not tolerate it in our home. Because GE would not properly diagnose or correct the issue, we were forced to replace a nearly new refrigerator entirely at our own expense.
Based on this experience, I would not purchase another GE appliance or recommend one to anyone. I have already informed our home builder of the problems so they can reconsider installing GE appliances in future homes.
Additionally, we have experienced issues with other GE appliances in the house — the oven does not maintain a consistent temperature, the cooktop controls are unreliable, and the microwave interface is poorly designed and difficult to use. However, the refrigerator alone was enough to permanently lose my confidence in the brand.
Bodewell Service Scam
Bodewell service that is suppose to service GE appliances came twice to check my oven that cutting off heat after 20+minutes. One Technicians came Dec 1, 2025 and sat while I turned on oven left when it didn't turn off while he was there. He never diagnosed the problem-checked sensor..Another technician came Dec 31 did nothing and said I needed an electrical panel that he didn't have. I was charged $167+ for the service call which I'm disputing since they did nothing, have no physical address.

I would give 0 stars if that was an option. Technician gave me poor advice based on faulty diagnostics. To make a long story short after spending a lot of money with Bodewell I was told I would need a new microwave. I was also hung up on twice by “customer service” .What it turns out I actually needed was a microwave fuse (2 for $6 at Home Depot). Stay far away from this company I wish I had read the reviews.

I would give GE Cafe Wall Oven a -5 if I was able because 1 is too good for them. I purchased a GE Wall Oven Combo in Aug 03,2025 and still cannot enjoy it. Customer service has replaced it 7 times in which the last 3 deliveries I refused and they never made it off the delivery truck. They take the cardboard box off and there it is, a broken oven switch or bent oven door I have sent numerous e-mails, left 6 messages on her answering machine only to be completely GHOSTED by KENYA ESQUIVEL Consumer Relations Manager Office of the President. What Kind of service is this. Over $8000.00 dollar wall oven and they do not call you back. Maybe CTV should follow up on my complaint. I just want a working stove with no damage
Low Quality Appliance, Warranty is Joke, Service Unprofessional
High end front loading Washing Machine failed after 2.5 years. Two circuit boards burnt. 10 Year Warranty, the sticker is still on the washer, but it's not covered. The only thing covered is the motor. Now let's talk about the service. You can schedule an appointment online or through the GE SmartHQ app. Both advertise Bodewell has fully stocked trucks with OEM parts. Reality: Bodewell contracts out the maintenance to other companies. Neither the app nor the website tell you how much the service call is going to be. The service call does not include minor maintenance. The technician showed up 4 hours late and never confirmed the appointment or communicated his backlog. Zero parts in the truck, going to come back for that... So two years after purchasing a new high end front loader, I'm without a washer for a week and spending $600 for the repair. NEVER BUYING GE AGAIN!
What a disaster
What a disaster! They showed up for an appointment and the "repair" only held for a week, then there was water everywhere and when i called i had 5 no-shows! all you get are broken promises and lies! i will NEVER buy another GE appliance again!
Terrible service
Terrible service! I bought a GE oven/microwave that has not worked properly since it was installed. I finally got a service appointment through Bodewell which handles GE warranty repair after several weeks. I had a 5 hour window for service and they never arrived. I then spent the next 50 minutes on hold with various people at Bodewell. They farm out the service, and they could not contact the company that was supposed to come. They said they had no other servicers in my area. I asked for a supervisor, on hold for another 30 minutes, then told they would transfer me to consumer affairs but were unable to do that despite the long wait. Now they are suppose to email me with a solution in 1-3 days! Horrible!

Got the Set Adora washer and Dryer. The dryer stopped working after 4 loads of clothes!! Sending a propane dealer to look at my electric dryer. Not impressed at all!!
