I’m really happy with my FromJAK high-top sneakers. The quality is very good and you can immediately feel that they are made from premium materials. The leather feels soft but still strong and durable.

They are very comfortable to wear, even for a long day. After a short break-in time, they became even more comfortable and fit perfectly.

Sizing tip: If you are between two sizes like me (sometimes 42, sometimes 43), I recommend going with the smaller size. They fit true to size, and the leather adapts nicely to your foot.

I also love the minimalist design — they look stylish and go well with many outfits, both casual and smart. You can really see the attention to detail in the stitching and finishing.

Overall, I highly recommend these high tops if you are looking for comfortable, high-quality sneakers with a clean and modern look.

This company offers the best customer support I have experienced anywhere and for as far back as I can remember, and their sneakers are in my view unsurpassed for their elegant design and for quality: they have truly mastered the art of minimalism, the materials are top drawer, and the shoes are comfortable from day one.

I have been ordering the sneakers pair and had some thoughts about the better size. Miguel from JAK helped me a lot to make the decision on what better size to take and overall helped a lot with my customer journey. That’s not the first time I am with JAK. The case has now been fully resolved, and I have received the alternative replacement pair. The delivery was very fast once the final solution was agreed, which I really appreciate.

I would like to thank JAK Customer Support for the final approach and for making the effort to find a fair and constructive solution.

At the same time, I still believe it is fair to mention that the overall process took much longer than expected, and that the main difficulty for me was the long period without clear communication after the case had been escalated.

In the end, I am glad that the situation was resolved in a positive way. The outcome is good, even if the journey to get there was not ideal.

Unfortunately, my experience with JAK has been very disappointing.

I received a replacement pair under warranty, but exactly the same issue appeared again on the right shoe after a very short period of use – a crack in the heel area. I contacted customer support and provided detailed photos and explanation.

Initially, the company claimed it was due to improper use, which I strongly disagreed with and explained why (I always untie the laces, rotate my shoes, and the damage appears repeatedly on the same shoe and in the same area).

After that, JAK informed me that the case was “escalated to a higher level” and that they would contact me as soon as a solution was found.

That was over one month ago. Since then, there has been no update, no response, no decision.

For a brand that presents itself as premium and focused on quality and craftsmanship, this level of after-sales support is unacceptable. The main issue for me is not even the defect itself, but the lack of communication and responsibility once a problem becomes inconvenient.

I cannot recommend JAK based on this experience. A premium brand should also offer premium customer service – and this was far from it.

Update 30.01.2026, 18:04 CET:

I would like to clarify several factual points in response to JAK’s reply, mainly regarding the timeline, communication, and the reasons why I disagreed with the rejection of the second claim.

First, the first claim was not rejected – it was fully accepted and resolved with a replacement pair under warranty, for which I thanked the company. The rejection only concerned the second claim, even though the identical defect appeared again after a very short period of normal use, on the same shoe and in the same area.

Regarding communication: I first reported the second issue on 9 November 2025. After receiving the initial rejection, I provided a detailed explanation on 23 November 2025 explaining why I disagreed with the assessment. When no response followed, I sent a reminder in mid-December. On 22 December 2025, I was informed that the case was escalated to a higher level and that I would be contacted as soon as a solution was found.

After that, there was no update for more than one month, despite my follow-up on 29 January 2026. The response only came after I had posted the review.

In their reply, JAK also mentions that I did not respond. This refers to a period of approximately 24 hours, whereas I was waiting for their update for over one month after being explicitly told the case was under escalation.

For clarity, the reasons why I disagreed with the rejection were the following:

I always fully untie the laces before putting the shoes on and do not force my foot into them.

If the issue was caused by incorrect use, the damage would logically appear on both shoes, not repeatedly and exclusively on the same shoe and in the same area.

The defect appeared after a very short period of use, and I regularly rotate my footwear.

With other premium leather shoes, I have never experienced a similar failure, especially not so early.

From a technical perspective, high-stress areas like the heel should be sufficiently reinforced in shoes positioned as premium.

The offer of a replacement only came after the review was published, not before.

Therefore, the core of my negative experience is not only the rejection of the second claim, but primarily the lack of communication, long silence, and absence of a clear outcome for more than a month.

Finally, I would like to add that I still hope for a positive and fair resolution directly with the company, and that my preference has always been to resolve this privately rather than through public platforms.

My review reflects the process as it happened in real time, not in hindsight.

STATUS UPDATE:

JAK has now shipped an alternative replacement pair, and the case is currently in progress. I will update this review again once the shoes are delivered and the matter is fully closed.

I accidentally selected the wrong shoe size, but the support team helped me change it quickly and easily. I’ve just received my shoes, and I’m genuinely impressed with the quality, the leather smell, and the overall fit. The additional accessories included are also excellent and match the quality of the shoes. The only downside is that the shoe box arrived slightly damaged, which is noticeable. As someone who likes to store shoes in their boxes, this was a bit disappointing. Other than that, everything is great. I hope they pay a bit more attention to the packaging in the future. If I’m satisfied with the black Royal NZ, I’d love to get the white pair as well. Keep up the good work.

I purchased these sneakers expecting good quality, comfort, and fit, especially given that this is a Portuguese brand positioned in the premium segment.

Unfortunately, the experience has been very disappointing. I have worn size 42 for years across many different brands bought online, and I have never had a sizing issue. In this case, the shoes feel noticeably tight, particularly on the sides and toe area, to the point of being uncomfortable. This is made worse by the fact that the laces are unusually short, leaving very little room to adjust or relieve pressure.

I have worn the shoes on three additional occasions, for short and controlled periods, and the discomfort has remained. This does not feel like normal leather stiffness that improves with wear, but rather a fit that simply does not match the stated size. I have never experienced this with comparable brands.

On top of the fit issues, the overall finishing is below expectations. In several areas, the materials do not appear to be properly glued, which is particularly disappointing for footwear at this price point and further raises concerns about quality control.

I contacted the brand and received a polite response, but no practical solution was offered, other than suggesting a break-in period and stating that an exchange was not possible due to signs of use.

I chose to support a local brand that is not cheap, expecting a better product and customer experience. Instead, I was left quite disappointed and will not purchase again. I am sharing this feedback so that future customers are aware of the potential issues and can make an informed decision.

My experience with Jak was flawless from start to finish. The website is very well designed and easy to navigate, making the entire shopping process smooth and intuitive. The wide range of payment methods available is a huge plus and makes purchasing incredibly convenient.

Five stars. I bought a pair of shoes for my son as a birthday gift. The product arrived on time and the unboxing was unbelievable. The leather is premium and the overall packaging is lush. Unfortunately, we need a small size so I’m going through the exchange process at the moment. We’ll see how that goes. So far so good.

Zudem sehr gute Verarbeitung und top Material. Die gewöhnliche Grösse passt hier sehr gut. Was mich am meisten Fasziniert hat ist die Lieferfrist.
