The chocolates came quickly, but they were expensive and really not worth the price. The chocolate was really sweet but bland, did not taste of chocolate. I ordered the coffee truffles and a vegan brownie Easter egg, but the egg did not taste of brownie in the slightest. I emailed customer services to see if they would do something about this, but they just replied that their chocolate ‘isn’t to everyone’s taste’. Won’t be buying from them again! Don’t recommend

Speedy delivery but chocolates just aren’t pleasant. I ordered some vegan truffles and they are very hard. The cookies and cream eggs I ordered are bland but yet the texture is gooey. Very disappointed as ordered before in 2023 and they were lovely! Very expensive for what the are - not worth it

I ordered a vegan Easter egg for my daughter. It never dispatched and I’m still waiting for a refund. Poor customer service so will not buy from this store again.

Pretty good in terms of choice and price, delivery was quick.

I bought some mint cremes along with a mint egg so I could give them to my partner for her birthday - annoyingly the cremes had a BBE April ‘26 (only two months from the order date) which seems really short given the egg is BBE January ‘27.

The website now shows the dates for the cremes but I’m adamant that it didn’t at the time of ordering.

Lovely chocolate products, I buy the dark chocolate Brazil nuts and Dark Chocolate Gingers regularly for members of my family. I love their praline products. I ordered an overstock box of the Praline Christmas Trees, there were 5 chocolates missing. I messaged Friars, got a very quick response, they put a packet of 6 in the post to me First Class.

Brilliant service, I can thoroughly recommend, quality chocolate products too.

I’ve been buying the coffee creams for a few xmas’s now and up until now they have been very good and now sadly I feel the quality has dwindled and so have the size of the chocolates .. there is hardly any coffee flavour as previously experienced and they are overly sweet .. so sadly I won’t be purchasing them again .. like so many products these days I feel that friars have skimped on quality and given me less for more .. however on a good note I had to complain about two damaged chocs in a box which they swiftly dealt with and replaced!!!

We bought 6 penguins and 6 christmas trees and although quite expensive for the price the taste was absolutely delicious. Gorgeous taste and beautiful to look at. Very happy

Coffee creams are my wife's favourite chocolate. I thought a 'premium' make would please her at
Christmas. They were disappointing. There was only a hint of coffee, drowned by a gloopy highly sugary
filling that even partially masked the taste of the chocolate.

A fast and secure delivery but the chocolates..... well they were absolutely delicious!! They look amazing and taste divine, I purchased both the dessert and coffee collections, Christmas Day they went down an absolute storm. I will definitely be re-purchasing annually now and for special gifts. I have always praised a certain well known high end brand but these exceed those now!! They are simply delicious and as the title suggests, top notch!!!!

I love Hotel Chocolates as a treat and my son bought for me as a Christmas pressie the Alcohol box. Not impressed if I tell the truth, not as much taste and chocolate not as nice as HC. Will not be getting again sorry.

Very pleased with my Friars chocolates. I bought Christmas tree pralines, Penguin truffles and Raspberry Bellini truffles. All were destined to be Christmas gifts, but I couldn’t bear to give the Raspberry Bellinis away - they were so pretty and smelled so good. And they are just scrumptious!!! A new addiction !!! Thank you, Friars, and me needing to diet lol

Ordered a box of iconic collection chocolates for a special occasion and was not disappointed. Great packaging, smooth experience and what I am told, delicioys chocolates. Always top quality when I've purchased from Friars.

Bought 2x of 12 praline sweets to fill a wooden advent calendar with for my wife.
Excellent, fast delivery, well packaged. Wife assures me chocolates are very tasty. I should have bought 3x boxes it seems.

From the images and descriptions, to what landed at our door, very impressed with the online service from start to finish. Bought the Signature Collection for my wife (and me) and the chocolates lived up to the mouth watering expectations. So great to be able to buy from a family business with a long history and real story.

disapointed, very small packs of truffles £5.99 each ,we couldnt taste any rum ,we do not recomend friars truffles amd we wont buy again disapointed.

Firstly I wanna say that the prices are great, I got around 60 chocolates for around £50 total which is just amazing by default, the chocolates themselves taste amazing and are clearly well made what with their high quality and great, relaxing flavours if that makes sense. I'd go into detail about the separate chocolates I ordered but this review would go on for ages aha.

Overall I highly recommend them and am genuinely surprised they're not 5 star on here. Thank you and I will definitely be ordering again in the future (I'm gonna *try* to take my time with what I've got now lmao)

Always buy chocolates for Christmas and really happy with them.

I bought a small Signature Collection box of chocolates on Amazon to try before ordering anything larger. Sadly, the chocolates were so hard - like biting into pieces of marble - that I could not bite into them. The ball-shaped pieces were impossible and would have needed a hammer to crack. The only one I could eat was the praline square, and that was very tasty, but to buy a whole box and eat only one of them was such a waste. The chocolate covering is so thick and hard that I don't want to try them again. I did not check the best before date on the box, so it's possible that I got an old box that was out of date. Even so, chocolate should not be too hard to chew! It is surprising because all the other reviews for this chocolate were very good, and I wonder whether I got a fake product? I am disappointed because I had planned to buy a bigger box for the family at Christmas, but I don't think our teeth could cope with them.
PS: I have updated this review to give 3 stars, because I now believe the box I got must have been a fake. The one chocolate I was able to eat was very good. I am still very disappointed with this purchase and will not buy it from Amazon again.

I ordered the Dubai chocolate truffles but unfortunately they taste nothing like the pistachio chocolate. The chocolate is so tough and dry, the inside is a bright green gel like cream that tastes of almond and marzipan and not pistachio as advertised. Also doesn’t look like a truffle inside, the ‘cream’ was in its own blob not like the pictures. Bought as a gift and not sure I can give them, I couldn’t even finish one truffle! Such a shame and really let down especially now as my review isn’t being published on the website page which is suss… bought two packs as sounded so nice but what a waste!
