From start to finish we have had a great experience. Every question we asked via email or phone was answered by the team. The price was very competitive. The pre installation visit was really useful and we felt listened to. The actual installation and scaffolding went very well. A month in all is working well.

David King thank you for your efforts in designing my solar system best suitable to my needs and protect my outgoings on electricity.
I was always backed up and supported in whole journey from every technical topic by David King. I will not shy to share his grip on solar installation based on he picked up flaws in quote made by ‘x’ organisations for my home which has incorrect spec which could fot in budget but would not deliver efficient outcomes. That says its rqually important who you are going with for solar installation.

Overall satisfied with David Kings mutiple visit to home to ensure I am happy at every stage. I doubt any other company can support at that level when I compared few companies were only available over phone call to design solar system.

Recently had a solar panels, battery and Inverter installed. Great customer service right from the start. Everything was clear from the beginning. A price no other company could beat. From quote to install was around a month. All up and running on day of install. Neat and tidy installation. Very happy with the professional service. All documentation was delivered 2 weeks after install. Couldn't fault these guys. All that and 0% finance :-)

Very quick and easy. I had been researching solar for a while and when I saw a Costco promotion that gave me a bit more confidence to go ahead. The sales, survey and consultation were all good and easy. The information they gave me was inline with what I had researched. The scaffolding and installation were without any problems, very organised and professional. Positions of the panels, inverter, batteries and wiring runs were discussed and agreed. Clean and tidy finished job. Good support from the office/admin staff. There was a short delay with removing the scaffolding but I was informed by the office. After sales support with certificates was very helpful. All good. Still working better than I expected

I recently received a fresh solar recommendation from Costco, who I always trust. Because I already had Give Energy batteries, I contacted this company for two Give Energy all-in-one batteries. They gave me a quote, and I paid the deposit. The installation was booked for 9th December.

However, after weeks of waiting, I suddenly received a full refund and an email from Jack saying:

“The necessary software commissioning and integration processes are outside the scope of work our engineers are currently comfortable taking on, as they involve a high risk of future recurring service issues and necessary revisits.”

There was no phone call, no explanation, and no courtesy. When I called them after receiving the refund, they stopped answering the phone and only sent an email cancelling everything. This was extremely disappointing, especially for a £10,500 job where trust and communication are so important.

It is sad that after taking the deposit and giving installation dates, the company cancelled without any proper decency. It feels like they were trying to push me towards Chinese batteries instead of supporting Give Energy, which is a trusted British-made company.

My time was wasted, and the service was very poor. Please be aware before booking.

Fresh Electrical installed my solar panels in July. There are no issues with the panels, however, scaffolding was left outside of my house for over 7 weeks. The contract stated that it was only supposed to be up for up to 2 weeks. During this time, random people off the street continually used the scaffolding as a climbing frame, climbing up onto the roof of my house. I told Fresh Electrical about this several times, and each of those times, they lied by saying that somebody was going to come and collect the scaffolding (nobody showed up on any of the occasions that they claimed). I tried to reach their 'Complaints manager' multiple times, however he was never available, and never called me back (if he even exists)

Avoid the stress and go with another installer. I have no doubt they'll reply to this review trying to point out that they subcontract their scaffolding. However, their chosen contractors ultimately left me to endure the stress of random people climbing onto my roof

Additionally, I received an email after my installation offering a £10 Amazon voucher if I left a positive Trustpilot review. Subsequently, you can't trust the reviews that you read about this company

The process from analysis through design, quotation, installation and commissioning was very professional. Despite a late start on the installation day due to the long distance from a previous job Dan and Matt worked hard into the evening to complete the work on the day.

The install team was professional and courteous
Fished the job in under 6 hours and left the garage clean and tidy.
The whole process was very smooth start to finish.

Despite a little confusion over the sighting of the panels and a delay in starting due to long journey to get here and levels of traffic. Kieran and his colleague worked professionally and courteously to get the job completed. Panels and battery are working well and cutting down our electricity usage from the grid despite the shorter hours of daylight now. I suspect will see a lot more benefit as we move into spring and summer next year.

Had a quote from Chris after requesting contact via Costco promotion, he talked us through options and provided very competitive quotes for different battery sizes. Install date was arranged, scaffolding put up the day before. Installers did a great job and I am happy with the system and that I can charge my battery on cheap rate overnight and sometimes top that up with solar. Only negative is that when the installers arrived they said they could only fit 6 panels rather than the 9 that had been quoted for. This was due to the survey and plan being done using satellite picture of the house which clearly did not provide enough or full detail. I did decide to still go ahead with the system and the quote was reduced by an amount I was happy with but a bit disappointed at the last minute change.

The office and installation team were great and very helpful. Everything was done quickly and politely and all the paperwork was sorted within a couple of days. Thank you for making it stress free

Sales and installation was great. Had a issue with the scaffolding not being setup correctly the first visit but they managed to get everything but the solar panels on the roof. Was a great job.

Then a week later after another visit from the scaffolding guys, Chris E turned up and installed the 10 panels on the roof.

All working and I have all the certificates just waiting on the information to supply to Octopus to get on the best tariff.

We've had our panels fitted since late September 2025 and we are delighted with them.

The sales aspect was excellent, albeit a bit too excellent. We were talked out of getting a bigger battery, but I wish that we'd insisted and paid the extra £500. We could definitely do with the bigger battery.

The scaffolders caused minor damage to painted exterior tiles, but Fresh Solar took responsibility and offered to pay for the repair.

The fitter was excellent, having driven 8 hours due to traffic, he cracked on and the finished job was immaculate. Several cups of coffee supplied!

My certificates have arrived and I'm awaiting an export tariff from Octopus 🐙.

Even with the minor points above, the whole process deserves 5 stars and I would highly recommend Fresh Solar, especially with the great COSTCO discount.

Lynn our advisor has been great and all installers and workmen sailed through. Nothing was a problem for any of them. The only down side is the scaffolding had to be put up a certain way due to narrowness and now is a struggle to get in or out the house. Lynn has been great at trying to help chase up to get it removed. Overall, very happy and definitely recommend.

Absolutely terrible customer service after the system has been installed. It took me four attempts to get a reply at all for a request to set up my solar/battery system having just moved in. I'm now sitting at home waiting for the engineer to arrive (due earlier today), I can get no answer from any of their phone numbers including the complaint line, sales, accounts, admin... I've had no confirmation they are coming, and no way to find out what is happening. I'm writing this review in the hope someone will respond. If you don't see an explanation and an apology in response to this review, I recommend you don't touch this company with a barge pole.
