Dumb Pricing
Extremely disappointed with Freename. While they market full ownership of custom Web3 TLDs, they severely restrict SLD pricing with rigid, Web2-style rules based on character count and generic name tiers. There is no option for true custom pricing, which is essential for niche TLDs like .auscultation. This defeats the purpose of decentralized domain ownership and makes premium, brand-relevant SLDs (e.g., Littmann.auscultation) impossible to price appropriately. A major oversight for a platform claiming to empower Web3 creators.

Absolute scam!
Absolute scam! Let's examine some of its flaws.
Different companies allowing different registrations of the same extension, e.g. .wallet on Handshake is different from .wallet on Unstoppable Domains (which ones you will access depends on your plug-ins).
In order to access these sites you need to download plug-ins, which are a safety risk. The version of the plug-in you download may come with malicious code that stores passwords, etc.
Blockchain domains do not use standard http-protocol and are not compatible with services like SSL, making them safety risks for both user and traffic.
They're complicated to access. The point of a website is for it to be easily accessible. If people have to download external plugs-ins they're not going to bother.
Blockchain domains are clunky to set up and manage (they don't support DNS) and not compatible with most hosting plans.
The extensions and renewal fees (where applicable) are overpriced, and there no refunds or serviceability guarantees of any kind.
Both Freename, Handshake and Unstoppable Domains make it clear (in the T&Cs) that they can stop supporting your domain for any reason. Sure, you'll still have a link in your wallet, but it won't do anything.
And this is just scratching the surface.

I purchased and the support is great..
Just had a purchase on a web2 and mirrored to web3 and also purchased a web3 domain. What made freename standout was despite of my small knowledge to web3 every question however, stupid or common was answered with at most respect, and also their tutorial videos are clean and simple to understand.

Scam company
Scam company. If you buy a tld you do not get access to the smart contract. They expect you to buy the tld and then pay for every address you want to mint on your own tld.. avoid at all cost. .. update: they just replied to my review saying if you buy a TLD you get full control. That is a lie.. I fought with this company for months trying to get access to the resolver and smart contract. They did not give me full access to the product I bought. Avoid at all cost.

Rapid support response
I'm old school and don't understand much of this modern technology, but I wanted to get in on the ground floor of this web 3 technology. I purchased a couple tlds from free name and ran into problems minting them. I put in a support ticket and Siful answered within a few minutes helping me to resolve the issues.
