Darren is a true professional; calm, collected, reliable, knowledgeable… but above all he is one of life’s genuinely good eggs, a real pleasure to work with.

I have enjoyed many events over several years that Darren has supported. From children’s parties to big theatrical shows with community PA events in between, however, recently I have worked directly alongside Darren to deliver a games/quiz night in our local community and it was here that I really learned of the value this man brings.

Before the event Darren met with me and listened to my ideas. He really understood what I was trying to achieve and was able to offer guidance and support from his perspective which was hugely appreciated.

On the day Darren arrived early to set up - a good job really as sadly he faced challenges with the electrics to the event venue but given the time he had allowed himself this was able to be overcome.

During the event Darren was brilliant, doing everything as planned but also saving my bacon when things went a bit squiffy. Through his quick thinking, adaptability and genuine passion for delivering a good show Darren was the calm in my storm. I am truly grateful.

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Freedom Discos sound and lighting to anyone, for any event. You will be in truly safe hands. Thank you Darren!

Darren was brilliant from the very beginning. He was quick to respond to my original email and even called me personally to discuss what we wanted. He was very well priced and he kept us up to date on when our balances were due. He contacted us the week before and asked if we had any requests or tastes we would like to be played at our wedding. He was more than accommodating of all requests both before the evening and the evening. Darren is brilliant and I would highly recommend him. He brought all his own equipment and he was more than professional. Would definitely use again.

A fantastic DJ for our wedding!

Darren was amazing! The booking, us having to rearrange multiple times, communications, setting up and the actual hosting of the night was all seamlessly delivered. We didn’t have to worry about anything as Darren had it all under control. His liaison with the venue was perfect. Our dance floor was never empty as he accommodated everyone’s requests. We will certainly use Freedom Discos, Sound & Lighting again and will be recommending to all!

Would highly recommend Darren! He was amazing for our wedding. Everyone had an amazing night and were up dancing! I have had loads of comments from guests saying that the DJ music was great and that they all really enjoyed the evening!

From booking we had several email correspondence to put together a few song requests and allowing him to put together a wedding playlist for us.
The service we received was just brilliant from turning up on the Friday morning just to go over bits with us and planning where to set up to the night where the great songs just kept on coming with the dance floor barely being empty (apart from when my husband made a song request).
Darren even put up with everyone making song requests and playing them keeping the guests happy and up dancing.
We can’t thank you enough for keeping our dance floor full and allowing guests to have an amazing time after the hard months of covid. Everyone 100% had a great time and blew of some steam.
