Disgusting scammers


Lived with ForHousing for two years. Please don’t be as naive as I was and go with them. They comfortably scam you using a no deposit scheme and they WILL charge you a disgusting amount of money at the end of your tenancy no matter what.

Attempted to extort nearly £800 out of us for fair wear and tear at the end of the tenancy, after leaving us without essential appliances such as a washing machine and fridge for months on end. I am autistic and physically disabled, and I broke my back attempting to clean the entire flat only to be met with a rude and disgusting attitude from Lucy over email who stated that it was left in an ‘unacceptable condition.’ Complete liars, and I’m not sure how Lucy or any of the rest of these bottom of the barrel scammers sleep at night.

Also attempted to charge us for broken Fridge drawers…which were broken when we moved in. And chairs..which were already tatty and disgusting when we moved in. They absolutely use the cheapest possible furniture so they can comfortably do to everybody what they did to us. Save yourself money, read all these reviews (as well as the ForLiving reviews, as it is the same company) and run a mile. Hundreds of 1* reviews cannot be wrong.

On top of everything else, mould was growing up the windows which is a downright health hazard, especially for someone who is immunocompromised like myself. Attempted to charge us for leaving behind a brand new mattress and a brand new microwave, which would quite literally benefit the next tenants. (Tried to claim they would cost hundreds to remove, by the way.) Genuinely not sure how they’re still legally allowed to operate and if I can save even one person from renting with them and getting scammed out of hundreds of pounds as well as being left without appliances for months on end during their tenancy, then I’ll be happy.

Realistically, I should’ve done more research into these lowlives before renting with them, including looking into zero deposit schemes. A large majority of the time agents receive commission from these companies meaning it is in their best interest to charge you at the end regardless of the condition you left the property in or how badly they neglected you throughout the tenancy - they’re always planning to line their own pockets through you.

Lucy and the rest of the ForHousing team responsible for the false and exaggerated charges: I wish nothing but the worst for you for the rest of your lives you disgusting set of vile parasites. I hope somebody eventually does to you what you attempt to pull on the tenants who rent from your association.

Zero stars obviously, why is that not an option? These sociopaths taking me to court for an injunction 🤨 and possession 😅 have it!! Oh my days this tiny disgusting not fit for any human bungalow on Merlin Road, I'd rather live in a flipping cardboard box 🤣 I and ALL these sociopaths tenants ARE VICTIMS. Oh I'm the violent one? Ok then 👌 Forhousing, even that name makes me laugh soooo hard 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 think about it? Got a 79 year old man with severe COPD living right next to the M62 with no heating 😡 and that man is absolutely amazing and has helped me more than anyone in my entire life. 3 people have died in the 2 and a half years I have lived here, and Cath who was soo lovely, sadly taken but luckily in her sleep 🙏 these ripped everything out and moved in an absolutely annoying thing with a cat that thinks it can go anywhere it wants 😒 and when Barry passed away they move in a thieving foreigner. Moved in a heroine addict into number 10 Plover and she obliterated that place, even robbed the solar panel batteries (😐) Still moved her to Little Hulton. The amount of times i have suffered, tried doing myself in because of the stress of everyone not listening to me. Well, I am making myself a better man, I was always a good man but cross me and you'll wake the beast (that is what these sociopaths did) Give it 4 months and I'm gonna be healthier, stronger and finally getting the testosterone I need. And no, I will not be travelling all the way to Manchester to go in that freezing cold building. Shouldn't of put me in the worst area of Salford, simple. Plus I have alot of things to do to help myself, my mental health and my physical health, you lot do not add onto my list. Suck it 😊 Print this out and show it the judge, I am not scared of you lot or anyone else for that matter. I've already been to Hell so many times, God is on my side now, and 2 solicitors in my corner. I have more people on my side than these sociopaths, including all these sociopaths tenants who know EXACTLY what these evil twisted psychos do. No sympathy for tenants at all!

To make matters worse they refuse to take my complaint and think they did everything right. This housing company do not care about the tenants it’s disgusting they are allowed to treat people this way. Iv now had to request my complaint go to a stage 2. It should not take 8 workmen to decide who’s job it is without investigating it properly.

This has got to be one of the worse housing associations in Manchester it really has they do not care about there tenants or flats all they care about is getting there rent I've been flooded since 2.30 am explained im holding a roll of 13ft carpet too & there water coming through lights still waiting for someone if I was you don't ever get a flat with this housing association they really really don't care about there tenants still waiting from work to be done from last year too its crazy its like they tell you one thing & never do the job they suppose to just bodge up like cowboys or dont do at all

Negligent Liars

Dreadful service. Tenants are fobbed off and lied to as a matter of course. We live in cold damp conditions for years and nothing is done. I have now escalated my complaint to a stage 2, contacted my MP and Housing Ombudsman's office.
To get repairs to old leaking windows, 60 year old leaking roofs, entry systems that don't work so we can't have our postal delivery requires at least 12 months of constant complaints and legal action and still the problems are only half addressed.
If you rent from Forhousing, get used to living with black mould, leaking roofs, old single glazed windows that provide no insulation. It one step up from sleeping in a tent

Any problems with for housing report it to your mp. And housing officer paige has been reported to my mp.

Bob the builder... WILL NOT FIX IT

I Received a letter from tenants advice, I'll be arranging an appointment for them to come and assess all the issues I have with the home I live in, the front garden, the back garden, the kitchen, the loft and the brick outside having no mortar in for the safety and well being of myself and my family. I should of been contacted in spring/summer for the brick work to be done, nobody bothered!
I believe there all Health & Safety issues yet you don't so when the home is assessed and they say A,B, and C needs to be rectified then you have to do so. I've been on the phone today and complained again about everything and made the understanding gentleman on the phone aware of my next steps. It's disgusting that your company will do as little as possible for their tenants.... I've never seen a good review on here for yourselves. Your rolling in money with how many properties you own and how little you spend on them in repairs, take my rent before my wages have even gone in to my bank, quick at taking our money but nothing else. Not a single wall is flat in my home unless my partner has plastered it, but I've told him to not do anymore as were just basically doing you a favour, but wont do us any !!!! I dont want a reply saying your sorry and you care bla bla bla like you do to every review you receive because you don't care, jobs would be completed properly if you cared. My drive way is a mess, its never had a pathway you can tell by the gates but you want to come and put one of them in and leave the rest of the front drive all smashed in.... cowboys!!

No response from for housing will be read as its all lies lies lies 100% why I bother with more reviews is beyond me but let's other tenants know thay were all treated like crap doesn't it and not just certain people. I've seen reviews from elderly people left to suffer aswel in bad conditions for years.

Why won't you do a proper job of anything ?

Still not going to get away with it

Still not going to get away with what you lot have done. Just over £2000 is still an absolute insult. You lot will be going to court still but I won't be there but a solicitor will still be fighting my corner. This property will not be here for someone else either once I'm done with it after finding my kitten a new home. I'd love to end you sociopaths but I pray someone else will, someone who is just a little mentally more messed up than me. Never mess with the crazy people, the crazy people will mess with you 😊

Awful service.

I have lived in the same property for over 48 years,
and in my time as a tenant, I have never requested any assistance or help from the landlords, apart from any essential repairs that needed to be carried out. However, three weeks ago I contacted Forhousing to explain that my wife, who is 82 years of age, was struggling to get into our bath, and was also struggling to get out. She had recently slipped, and suffered a few bruises and a split lip. In the circumstances, I asked Forhousing if they would consider installing a handle at the side of the bath in order to resolve this problem. I got a very positive response, and I was advised that my request would be dealt with fairly promptly. I recently contacted Forhousing for an update, and I was told that someone would look into the matter! In view of the fact that my wife hasn't been able to use the bath for over three weeks, I terminated the conversation, and subsequently purchased a suitable handrail, and I have arranged for a neighbour to install this item. In the unlikely event that I might get a response to my complaint, it would be purely academic, as the problem has now been resolved in my time, at my expense, and to my complete satisfaction.

Please accept my apologies for the delay in response. I am so sorry to hear about your wife's fall. I really do hope she is okay. Please note we do take your concerns very seriously and appreciate all feedback as it allows us to improve and evolve.

I can see from your account that a repair was raised for a grabrail to be fitted above the bath and is still showing as open. My colleague in the Connect Hub tried to expedite this repair due to the circumstances, but did inform you of the actual target timeframes.

I do apologise that you felt you had no other choice than to complete the repair yourself at your own expense. Are takeing me to court to get me avited from my flat i have bern lied to had bad time with the nabour upstairss i had a bedroom window smashed 3 years a go him upstairs hsd somethang to do with my bedroom window being smashed he did not do it he got someone else to smash my bed room window he has tsken addvinge of me thr police were called thay came the next dsy knockrd on his door he has a ring door bell he was in he wouid not anwer his frunt door 14 years of hell i have had since being with forhouseing forhouseing homes are full of dsmp and mould they lie to you forhouseing propitys are not wouth the rent moneg

They turn up saying your being evicted…

They turn up saying your being evicted in the next hour..
Dont have any chance to pack anything or sort anything out...
They order you to get out, these are vulnerable people there kicking out on the street making them homeless.... Then lie to the housing saying you did it on purpose making yourself homeless so the housing office wont touch you...
They go through your stuff and steal things like jackets and shirts/hoodies refuse to let you back in to get your belongings...
Make up stories about you ..
The rules are impossible to follow..
Mangement charge months after youve left the property...
Claim you owe them all lies..
They laugh at you if you have mental health problems..
Wont explain things to you if you have learning disabilities..
Basically its a right narcissistic company boarder line Hitler youth type. .AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS...... Shes called Teresa the narcissist shmegegge

Avoid forhousing at all cost

Terrible housing association, housing dangerous criminals. They delete reviews on Google. Single females pls avoid this horrible housing association AKA Forhousing, if you complain about antisocial behaviour you'll get gaslighted and said to be the answer abuser. They also say they can't move you if you your health is affected by their criminal tenants. I've been terrorised and physically assaulted for years by a violent notorious criminal tenant of theirs, sleep deprivation and all that goes with this horrible housing association. fights broken out often from antisocials tormenting neighbours. Lots of flats empty from forhousing not doing anything about the criminals tormenting residents but they claim they haven't got properties. Aggressive big dogs running around, loud music, domestic violence against women and children, constant police presence breaking down doors, narcs dealing... I can go on forever. Forhousing keeps deleting reviews so I'm here to support the reviews on Google they have deleted. Open a antisocial behaviour review with Forhousing and you'll be made to be the enemy of state, gaslighting you into believing you're the problematic one.

We’re sorry that you feel there are issues with antisocial behaviour in your area. ForHousing isn't an emergency service for some of these issues and if you do experience such issues, we would always advise you to contact the police.

ForHousing have limited stock in order to offer management moves, we would also advise to sign up with your nearest choice based letting service (run through your local council and bid on properties). Alternatively you may be able to seek advice on a mutual exchange by signing up with home swapper. (link below) https://www.homeswapper.co.uk/

ForHousing are unable to delete reviews from google as it is managed by google, like Trustpilot. We would only contact the service provider to ask for removal if a customer breaches GDPR by leaving their address in the comment. Usually we would first reach out to the customer as a first point of call, to ask they remove. Us getting any response from the service provider can take months and we want to keep everyone as safe as possible whether that be online or in the community.

Wouldn't trust them to do the right thing

they've let me do my dog sitting work from my property so I can put food on the table but unfortunately very poorly handled a situation where my neighbour (another forhousing tenant) hired my aforementioned services never paid/then ripped me off for hundreds of pounds and also was abusive and threatening. They let her get away with this behaviour and then somehow concluded to take her side in the matter, the mind boggles. They never reprimanded her at all and were all pally with her which to me is unforgivable and toxic. This has caused me so much stress and heartache that someone would do this too another person no less a neighbour. sorry I had to change the review to say what I think is correct. As usual take the rent straight away…

As usual take the rent straight away from my bank account, rent paid in full every single month, no rent arrears but I basically don't have a kitchen. It was falling apart before I moved in here in May 2021, constantly ringing to complain but I just get ignored, I reported my thermostat being loose on the wall last week and 10 minutes before that reported the safety conditions with the kitchen and the fact that I'm finding dead flys in my food cupboard and cobwebs where my cups are because there isn't any cupboard doors because they've fallen off and there's that many holes from previous repairs they won't repair now. They responded about the thermostat but ignored me about my kitchen complaint.For Housing will do anything to not spend money but take yours whilst you live in poor conditions and ignore you. I rang and complained and still got ignored as nobody followed it up in the 5 days I was told I'd be contacted. They attempted to fit a new kitchen in March, well they say that, but again ignored me, knocked on my door with the plan and said to my Partner you need to sign this, they stood and waited, so he signed for a plan that was irrelevant for our home, specific spaces for a Dish Washer that I don't own and fridge / freezer which neither recite in my kitchen, to rip gas pipes our for my cooker to move to the other side of the room so basicaly I'd have to dispose of my Dining Table don't think so!! They have known for years not to change the plan as it doesn't suit the family and the kitchen isn't big enough anyway. MY Partner doesn't even have rights to sign paperwork as he isn't on the tenancy and this was confirmed in the phone call last week they don't care just want their money and leave you to suffer, absolutely discusting. The gardens are unstable the front garden isn't flat im forever bending my ankle walking up it, so is everybody else, the back garden has holes everywhere in the concrete big and small, I even have to watch my dog outside constantly so he doesn't hurt or trap his foot. They dont care atall this proves it and so does everybody else's reviews, i can't say I've ever read a good one !! For Housing don't respond to this review and ask me to contact you because I'm sick of wasting my time doing so.... Do something about this Now !! Because one way or another I will get compensation for something and it will cost you more than replacing my old crappy kitchen with a new one !!!!

There is No appointment booked for tomorrow for my thermostat it has been rearranged for Friday with me directly contacting Libery last week as I'm working Tues & Weds and have a School appointment Thursday. I expressed in my review that my complaint about the thermostat was acknowledged but the kitchen wasn't.

The garden I have tried to complain about but in response your company says its my problem, I dont see how its my problem when it is the concrete/ tarmac that is damaged before I even moved in to the property, and it's your property not mine!!! the gardens are well maintained, clean and grass cut constantly, no weeds, considering the state of the gardens patio area or external flooring however Im ment to word this. You've basically responded calling me a Liar, i don't think I am

I can see our complaints teams have tried to contact you previously. They advised the kitchen design you requested doesn't meet Forhousing spec. I have sent information over to surveyor teams to try and figure out if there is any alternate solution and will email you with any updates I find.

Thermostat issues. I can see you do have an appointment booked with Liberty gas and they are due to attend tomorrow between the hours of 08.00 and 13.00. Please note appointments can over run in emergencies.

Gardens usually fall under the tenants responsibility to repair and maintain as per you tenancy agreement. However if your main walkway to the property is unsafe we can raise for a repair to make this safe.

I appreciate you have mentioned you don't want to contact us to discuss this further, however we do want to try and resolve this and help, which will require you to get in touch with us.
