Understanding that the instructions are in German and the product includes a European plug helps set proper expectations and prevents any initial letdowns. Besides that, the advice given beforehand was excellent, and the delivery was swift.

Provides added value to paragliding
A business that cares about the sport of paragliding:
I've bought several items for the sport through Flybubble, including communicating with them for advice. I have also bought a used wing from an individual that originally got it used from Flybubble - and it's great!
This business provides a very useful weather guide that is injected with humour when accessing the Skew-T. And it's just an aside to the great service they offer through Youtube videos and so on.
There are a few businesses that really seem to care about the sport, and Flybubble is one of them.

Good advice without the pressure to buy
I emailed Flybubble about a secondhand wing that interested me. Nancy, from Flybubble, called me back on the same day to discuss it with me.
What stood out was the lack of pressure to buy a wing that turned out not to be suitable and the overall advice that I received.
I didn’t buy from them in this occasion although I have in the past and doubtless will again.

It would be good to know that the product comes with German instructions and a European plug to avoid disappointment on opening, otherwise good advice before and delivered promptly.

Following your feedback about the Skytraxx 2.1 FANET+ you ordered from us I've updated the product page for this and other relevant Skytraxx products on our website accordingly by adding text to say that the product is supplied with German instructions and a European plug, and explaining how to download the latest manual in English and other languages from the manufacturer's website. For user convenience we also provide links to the manual in the Downloads section of the product page on our website. Nowadays most freeflight brands supply instructions for their products only in a digital format. As well as the environmental benefits, this means a lower purchase price for you and allows the instructions to be updated if required at any time. If digital instructions exist, they are usually available to download from the product page of both our and the manufacturer's websites. For example, the instructions for each of the Skytraxx instruments we supply are available to download from their respective products pages on both our and Skytraxx's websites.

customs expenses not included
I discovered at delivery I had to pay almost 30% more for customs duties. I was contacted from Carlo Borsattino apologizing about the custom duties not being clearly enough specified on the site after the changes in January 2021 due to UK leaving UE.
Flybubble Paragliding provided to give me a refund despite it was also my fault having not check it before buying.
So I highly recommend Flybubble Paragliding as having such a responsive and high quality customer service is a great added value that in my opinion really makes the difference for paragliding equipment.

I am sorry that you were surprised to discover on delivery you had to pay customs duties. Due to the UK leaving the EU, as of 1st of January 2021 all customers outside the UK do not pay UK VAT @ 20% but instead pay customs duties of the receiving country. We have now made it clearer on our website that any customs charges are not included in the product price, before you confirm your order and pay. We will also make this message clearer in other areas of our website and marketing. Since this new situation with the customs duties was not clear enough on our site when you placed your order we will arrange for a refund for the extra amount you paid for customs duties, so you end up paying what you expected. The only gripe I have is second hand…
The only gripe I have is second hand gear should not have full VAT, it should only be on the profit made using the VAT margin schemes. You can find this on GOV.UK

PS. We too thought we could use the VAT margin schemes for all our used item sales however after much investigation (accountants/HMRC) it turns this isn't as simple as we hoped. There are different rules for different buying/selling situations. Most of the used products we sell are from part-exchanges, most of the rest are ex-stock/demo/crew. All of these, we have been informed by UK VAT experts, don't qualify. We will however continue to investigate this situation, since we would of course very much like to pass on any tax savings we legally can to our customers, for the reasons you've outlined, thank you.
