I had been searching for a very specific style of wedding dress for months and couldn’t find anything in the UK at a reasonable price. When I found Fanciful Doll, one dress completely stuck in my mind, nothing I tried on in bridal stores compared to it.

I finally ordered after checking my measurements carefully and confirming with customer service that a Medium would be suitable. They were helpful in confirming the size, although there was a small miscommunication afterwards where they were waiting on confirmation from me before dispatching, which wasn’t clear at the time.

The main area that needs improvement is shipping clarity. I was charged £24.99 for “International Location” shipping at checkout. I was told there would be no customs charges as the dress is shipped to their UK location and then sent out domestically, which was correct. However, it wasn’t clear that I was essentially covering the international shipping cost. For a £700 dress, I expected more transparency.

What concerned me most was that the dress was sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48. For such a high value and once in a lifetime item, I really believe customers should be able to choose a more secure delivery option (for example Special Delivery). My address can be difficult for couriers to find, and this caused significant anxiety. Due to confusion with depot collection, I had to drive to two separate Royal Mail depots to locate the parcel. Thankfully I found it in time.

I would strongly encourage Fanciful Doll to: Be clearer about how shipping costs are structured AND allow customers to choose their preferred postage method for high value items

As for the dress itself, I absolutely love it. It’s exactly what I envisioned for my wedding day. There are a few small quality details I will be altering (the bow is quite flimsy and the corset needs additional structure for security), and I would say those with a larger bust may struggle with fit. However, these are adjustments I’m comfortable making.

Overall, despite the stress around delivery, I am very happy with my dress and excited to wear it on my special day.

The dress are incredible and the customer service is beyond excellence.

I've always wanted to wear such beautiful dresses, to at least feel like a princess in one but because of my size, I thought this dream would always stayed a dream.

Thank's to Fanciful doll, it is now possible! The dresses are so confortable, elegant and light weight. You easily feel like a princess when you do wear it. The ratio price / quality is perfect! AMAZING DRESS!! I am absolutely in love with this dress. The quality is amazing, it looks so luxurious and fancy. The material is a silky organza and very soft and also does not wrinkle easily. I am 5’6” and 120 lbs I ordered the dress in an XS and the corset in an XXXS, I’ll be honest I got these sizes because they were the last left and I was pretty sure they would work. Luckily yes they did!! The corset has a lot of give with the strings but it’s definitely snug. But good for me since I don’t have much happening up top. 😆 The dress fits great too but without a corset I would need something to keep the top from gaping. I think my true size is an XXS and when I order again, that’s what I’ll get. The shipping was very fast. I feel the dress was worth every penny and I know I’ll be getting a lot of use out of it this year! I have a lot of book conventions to attend and they all have balls to dress up for! Also doesn’t everyone deserve a beautiful ballgown!? Seriously let’s make this a thing! I want to play dress up every day now. 😆

I contacted support multiples times about my order (to switch size, add items, ask for a shipping delay etc...) and they have been absolutely wonderful each and every time. I had the pleasure to speak to Maria, someone very competent in her work and super fast! I'm extremely happy (so much so I bought a new dress!). I'm really eager to see the items in person but I wanted to thank the wonderful team for their kindness ❤️

Le suivi de livraison est très bien, tout est ok et facile a suivre.

La qualité des produits est très bonne aussi, reçus sans accrocs, sans odeurs particulière, bien emballé.

Seul problème : les frais de douanes IMPORTANTS.

pour une commande a 750 € environ j'ai eu une belle surprise de 200€ de frais de douanes ( a payer immédiatement sinon le colis n'arrive pas )

I bought the dress for my sisters wedding and omg!! I thought I was spending a lot on a dress… but woah… I’m in love. So worth it!!! I feel like such a princess in it.

Took a chance and got my daughter's prom dress from there and I have been so pleasantly surprised!
Quality: The dress she chose is one of the fluffier ruffly ones, so it's made of organza to keep it light and bouncy. I know they offer some heavier cotton ones, too, but I don’t have experience with those. She tried it on right out of the box, so it hadn't even had time to fluff back up and release any creases from being shipped, and it's still holding a good shape! She adores it! The fabric feels like a high quality organza and the seams are well-sewn. It looks well-made with no strings, uneven seams, or raw edges. And a bonus feature that we somehow didn't realize: the slit is optional! It has invisible snaps sewn down it every few inches so you can make it a high slit, adjust it lower, or close it completely. You can't see the snaps at all when wearing the dress, and it's really nice to have that versatility!
Size: There is a size chart on their website. Definitely measure! If you're between sizes, go down a size because they are corseted and can just have a wider lacing if needed. If in doubt, use their chatbot on the site, and they will email you back with specific answers if the chatbot doesn't have the answers. I got an email within 24 hours, and it was super helpful.
Customer service: I did not have to worry about a return, so I have no experience there, but the customer service leading up to the purchase was fantastic. Quick emails with thoughtful, easy to understand responses. Shipping: Our dress arrived in only 10 days. We are in the US, and the dress was listed as "in stock," and based on the tracking, it looks like it might have already been in the US (maybe a storage facility?) so I'm sure that made it faster. Custom ones obviously will take longer, but they say 1-4 weeks and the tracking is helpful. Overall, I would recommend Fanciful Doll dresses. We will definitely be purchasing from them again!

This was my first time purchasing a dress overseas, so I was slightly concerned about shipping. But I shouldn't have! Maria was so helpful and understanding throughout the shipment. There was a mix-up with the order, but everything still arrived in time for my honeymoon. Maria and her team made sure of it!

The dress is absolutely stunning. I ordered a size up, and as expected, it was a little too big, but that was the point. I wanted to tailor it myself before the event. Now I have a gorgeous dress that I'm excited to surprise my husband with!

The dress and corset I ordered were extremely well made and exactly like the their promotional images— you can really tell Fanciful Doll don’t cut corners with their products. Both items were both packaged well, with no delays in shipping. The company is also just so lovely and quick to interact online, which is such a nice bonus. From initially looking desperately for wedding dresses online, 8 weeks before my wedding, these dresses stuck with me. Nothing I found anywhere else spoke to me, and when I saw the Rosetti gown I immediately fell in love. It is the most beautiful handmade gown; I also got the additional train with it as well, and considering the short deadline, the team really really delivered! They were super brilliant at communicating throughout everything and the dress arrived on time! Definitely recommend going your exact size for the dress, the dress itself is quite heavy due to all the sequins, so a snug fit is definitely recommended!
But measurements provided on the online shop are accurate and great anyway and the team are very helpful in finding your right size.
The gown itself is the most beautiful piece of fashion I have ever worn, it shimmers slightly in all beautiful pink and blue colours, depending on the light, and makes you feel like a princess. And looking at their website, all the other bridal dresses are just as beautiful!

Absolutely in love with their dresses. Feel like a true Fantasy Character whenever I wear them and they are super comfy. After doing many Foto-and Videoshoots in my dresses they have been tried and tested and are very good material as well.

I’ve bought two dresses from Fanciful Doll and both purchases have been positive experiences with dresses that I absolutely LOVE! The customer service with the owner has been great with all my questions. She’s always gotten back to me right away, being very friendly & helpful. I’ve used these dresses for various fantasy costume events and absolutely love everything about them! Highly recommend!

The dresses are so much more beautiful in person, and the craftsmanship is amazing! I didn't know a dress could make you feel that beautiful. The fabric is beautiful, and whenever I wear them Im surrounded by smiling faces, because people can't help but smile when they see them. When you see the quality, the price seemed more than reasonable, and they have never once disappointed me. My husband accidentally stepped on my dress and I went lurching forward. I was sure that force would have torn the skirt off, but the seam didn't even budge. The dresses will last a lifetime. The customer service is incredible. I emailed and asked if the off-the - shoulder sleeves could be worn up on a dress, and they said they aren't meant to be worn up, but here's a pictures of what it would look like if you did. My mind was blown that they would take the step to send photos. I emailed asking for pics of a plus size model in any dress with underwire cups, which weren't on the website. Again they sent pics. When their sizing changed, they emailed me saying that they checked the size of my previous order and noticed that I ordered a size up, and wanted to make sure I intended to do that (I had meant to order a size down but got confused by the new sizing). Also, they contacted me once saying they found an small mistake in the print on my dress when packing it up, and it was the last dress in my size. The "mistake" was so small I never would have noticed it on my own. I mean, in these days who has people quality checking dresses when they ship them? I have never had customer service of this quality before.

Where do I start. First the actual clothes. They are BEYOND stunning. The photos do not do them justice. Yes they can take some time to arrive but it is 100% worth the wait and shows the love, care and skill that goes into their items.
I now own two dresses and a corset and honestly EVERYONE compliments me when I wear them. But I also feel like a princess

Next I want to mention their customer service. Without trashing anyone else...there are some brands who do dresses in similar style, expensive and you can tell they dont care about their every day customers but this is NOT something you will face with fancifuldoll. They are communicative, so helpful and you can feel how happy they are that you love your items.

As someone who does like to treat myself to a nice dress fancifuldoll is now my no1 because of all of the above. Excellent quality, showstopping and true heart

I bought a dress and a corset for $650. I was expecting much better quality. You can immediately tell that the dresses are made in China. The dress feels like plastic, and the clasp is very cheap. it honestly feels like it could rip off at any moment.

Also, if you are curvy (I bought size XXL) and have a large bust (mine is 85–95, cup G–H, European size), I do not recommend buying their dresses. They compress the chest, make it look bad, and are very uncomfortable.

On top of that, because I ordered the dress from the UK to the European Union, I had to pay $250 in VAT. That means I spent about $900 on a plastic dress. It is absolutely not worth it.

If you want a dress like this, you are much better off going to a tailor and having one made to your measurements.
