Recently enquired about Worldwide health insurance, had a brief online chat gave my date of birth and was immediately they would not provide cover as I was too old, over 65 (68). Before speaking to the agent, i reviewed the advertisement and no statement by Expatriate Group that states they do not insure those over 65. This in my opinion is age discrimination and said this to the agent who immediately went on the defensive. Would not recommend this group due to their policy.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Expatriate Group. Our ordeal began when we contacted them at 2:41 PM regarding urgent authorization for hospital treatment for my 2-year-old daughter, who was suffering from pneumonia.

Despite multiple follow-ups, we were left in a state of limbo, with the hospital telling us they were waiting on Expatriate Group, and BIMC Siloam (Bali) insisting they were waiting on the hospital. The lack of communication and coordination was appalling.

I have documented proof of the entire timeline. I used my card to pay at 7 PM, by which time 4 hours and 20 minutes had already passed. We finally received confirmation from the hospital at 9 PM, making the total wait time 6 hours and 20 minutes. This prolonged waiting period forced us to stay in the hospital lobby with a very sick child, causing undue stress and discomfort.

This experience has been extremely frustrating and unacceptable. The lack of urgency and inefficiency shown by Expatriate Group in such a critical situation is inexcusable. I cannot recommend their services to anyone based on this experience.

This is absurd given that our family policy costs $20,000 per year. In 2 years, only I have made a claim, and my daughter is the only other family member (out of 3 adults and 1 baby) to make a claim.

That being said, they did end up picking up all the cost we endured. So I've edited this review and changed the star rating on here to 2.

For once a insurance company that does not use an AI bot if you use the chat option - that alone these days merits 4 stars !! plus one more star for the person being able to understand my not so trivial question and able to answer it.

We had to change our insurance policy due to a family member being terminally ill . Karen, the manager was simply lovely . and talked me through the best way to adjust our policy to enable my wife to travel at short notice back to Australia . Karen, if you are reading this , a massive thank you for your compasionate approach

Trying to get in touch with someone since April 3rd. I have sent multiple e Mails and didn’t receive any answer yet. Before I closed the insurance,I described my individual situation and wanted to get a suitable insurance package ,which seems right now ,I can not really use. If someone would at least get back to me in last 14 days,I wouldn’t weiter a bad review,but the whole situation is overwhelming and I am very desperate and sorry and closed insurance with this company.

Relatively easy to work through. Perfect for our expat situation when returning to the home country after spending a long spell working overseas. We can select what we want to suit our requirements and circumstances. Sensibly, the form checks the country code entered. Lots of options, but not cluttered with too many add ons.

Well priced insurance. There was a hiccup with trying to pay so I called them. Quickly connected to customer service who resolved the problem.

I have just taken out a yearly travel insurance with the Expatriate Group. I therefore do not have any experience of actual claims but my initial impression of the company is very favourable. I was assisted by a lady called Faith who was both patient and very professional.
