I mostly buy books from Exotic India, as they have some rare titles in their collection. Bit pricy but you get it when a book is not available in the library around you. Many a time they have to source a book for you, to fulfill your order , that takes time but they do stick to their commitment.
Generally happy with their service. However the app needs work. My orders never display accurate data.

They have rare books, and books are in good condition. However one always needs to call customer support and follow up a few times personally for the order to be shipped. The shipping time is very long. They may even take 10-15 days to ship, and shipping charge is also inordinately high, even though they send by normal India post. However the most frustrating thing is they keep out of stock items in the inventory on the website, and allow customers to place orders for out of stock items. Then you have to keep chasing them for weeks, no one will have any information. Or they will just keep assuring you that yes it will be shipped in another 2 days. Finally after 2 weeks of chasing, someone will be honest enough to inform that it was indeed an out of stock item and cannot be shipped. This happened to me twice on this website. Usually if the book is available on any other site I will avoid buying from Exotic. . But overall a pathetic experience as no one will proactively inform you that it is an out of stock item. Firstly out of stock items should not even be listed for purchse. You have to keep chasing them to have an update.

FAKE people.. Scamsters .. Dont buy anything on there app or the website....
I had ordered a book from their website,prepaid on 25 th August 2025 and still not received.. Number is not reachable or switched off .But message they are recieving on Whats app but no response..
If number gets connected they do not puck up..A big scam...I have messaged them to refund but no response...

Beware! Please do not shop with them unless you want to loose your money and end up frustrated . 7 days have passed since I placed my order and it hasn’t shipped yet . Customer service is hopeless and stay silent if you ask for an update on when it will ship . I asked for the order to be cancelled and my money to be refunded they are again silent. Extremely untrustworthy lot! They expect you to wait indefinitely with no clarity given on what is actually happening.

Ordered a singing bowl for a birthday gift. 4 days pass with no dispatch notice.

Messaged customer service, they sold me a bowl that was out of stock. No information on when it would be in stock.

I asked if I changed the order would it arrive on time. No response
I asked to cancel my order. No response

I'm going to have to go through visa and chargeback the transaction on my card. They just won't respond to any of my messages.

What a waste of time...

After submitting this review they contacted me to process a refund, asking me to take down this review once I have my money back. Sorry guys, you didn't do me a favour by refunding me my money. The review stays up.

If I tell you how happy I am in detail you would think that this is a fake review. After issues with quality with another sales site we remembered a past purchase form exotic India 2 years ago. We reached out to purchase a Ganesha statue. Unfortunately, that item was no longer in stock. Not to worry, Exotic India had a more beautiful Ganesha for us. There is no doubt in quality!! We were trying to bet how heavy it was. We will not ever shop at any other place again. We are very thankful for what you have done for us. There is no way we will ever forget about you again

Such a waste website and there is no any response, I have ordered a book but the delivery date is not given, while iam contacting for the delay they have not responded , please check the reviews and use this website carefully

The worst company ever and a scam no reply from the hell support team, not picking up the calls. Never ever order from this fraud company. Worthless service and ofcourse product and people. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS FRAUD COMPANY.

Customer support is non existent. They WILL NOT reply. After a month of order delays, they finally tell me that the product (a statue) is not available, and offer me much cheaper low quality alternatives instead of giving me a refund.

Only after threatening to file a dispute with my bank (luckily I paid with a credit card) did they refund my money. Very shady, untrustworthy.

Shady bunch - no customer support, no refunds, most of the products listed on their website are not available.

Before you order/pay for a painting here, find out if it is ACTUALLY available. I got properly taken for a ride a year ago. I was in touch with a sales person for this purchase. I asked multiple times if I would get the exact same painting and he said 100 percent surely I would. He kept pushing things for weeks and I should have become suspicious. Very slowly, weeks after payment, he casually reveals that the original painting was sold.

I've attached images of what I ordered and what I was shown later (a piece that looks like it's been done by an inexperienced artist).

This would not have been a big issue if I'd paid by cash and then received a refund. But I paid 85K through EMI and ended up losing quite a bit in the interest after cancellation of order (after a month of lies and excuses). Since it was their fault for making a false promise/showcasing a piece that wasn't even available that I lost some money even after cancelling EMI, I asked them to compensate that amount (around 1K). But they cleverly argued that the actual painting will always
vary from what's shown. If so, is there any such disclaimer in the page that says so?

It was a very unpleasant experience. I've decided never again to buy from these shady crooks ever again.
