Terrible from day 1. Non-intuitive and deliberately obfuscatory. The app fails to recognise locations or says they are closed, even when they are clearly open. Avoid.

Ridiculous app
Ridiculous app. Ive got the app, changed my registration and it congratulated me that the change was complete. A few days on and I checked that it showed on the app my new registration, and yes it still showed that my new reg was registered. Nearly 2 months later I parked and double checked the app showed my new reg. It does. I parked and 2 days later went on to see if it had logged my stay as it usually takes a few days. It wasn't showing. I tried to contact them to ask why and it kept taking me back to the app. I went onto the website and again takes me back to the app. Anyway I finally managed to get on the Web version which is completely different to the app, the app had updated but it hadn't updated my new reg on the website version! How bloody Ridiculous! I changed it on the Web page and email them to tell them that it hasn't updated and they said i only did it after I parked which I have explained I did it on the Web after but actually on the app which it wants you to download it was changed months prior. So dont get caught out as now I will get a fine for not paying. Basically scrap the app as it doesn't change it on the Web nor advise you to do so. Its like sending a bank payment to someone then them not getting it cos I did it via the app and not the Web page. Honestly so incompetent! Not worth the hassle at all.

Accidentally put the incorrect reg in, realized after paying so had to pay again as I was in a rush. Contacted them when I got home and been given a refund for one of the payments

Evology Darlington, don't use this app. I tried and when entering my bank card details had a fraudulent payment taken by LA post. I am still trying to block this and get my money back.

DON'T USE EVOLOGY - PARK SOMEWHERE ELSE
I paid using Evology Payment at a car park in Bournemouth. I paid using Apple Pay for £4.00
Subsequently I received a PCN from Parkingeye saying I hadn't paid to park.
I contacted Evology but the reply was if you have any queries with PCN refer to issuer. They claim they can't find my payment I made and they wouldn't answer my question about how they notify Parkingeye who has paid.
Basically Evology take your money, don't appear to notify Parkingeye and then tell you that you're on your own and the PCN is nothing to do with them and won't help at all.

I am extremely dissatisfied with this company’s practices. The car park was completely full, and I was simply waiting inside my vehicle for a space to become available. I was not parked in a bay, nor was I occupying a space.
Despite this, I have been charged for the entire duration I was waiting. The company claims that charges apply from the moment you enter to the moment you exit — regardless of whether you were actually parked. There is no clear or prominent information explaining this at the entrance.
Charging customers for time spent queuing for a space in a full car park is unreasonable and unfair. Waiting in a vehicle for an available bay should not be treated as parking.
I will be escalating this matter to the site management and submitting a formal complaint regarding what I consider to be a highly misleading and exploitative practice

Fishers Green, River Lea Country Park - Evology payment machine regularly not working and signal to pay by app is virtually impossible. Our, less than an hour visit, took us over into the next level of payment. Very reluctant to visit again.

Evology and Parking Eye
I parked at the Royal Free Hospital car park and paid via the app. The app extolled the virtues of autopay so I registered and registration was confirmed. I then started parking with autopay on subsequent occasions but I received no notification or deductions from my bank account. I contacted Evology who confirmed my registration. Now I am getting penalty notices from Parking Eye, the same company. I contacted Evology who advised that the Royal Free Evology service does not include autopay. There is no notice to that effect on the signage.i will fight this.
I received a PCN on 5 February
I received a PCN on 5 February, which I paid £60 on the 14/15 February. On 14 February, I received a duplicate PC notice reminder. It is impossible to speak to a human being at this company to inform them I have already paid this charge. What am I to do, as this is very stressful.

I parked in Bournemouth town centre to take my daughter & her friends ice skating for her birthday. I arrived just before 7.00 p.m.
the car park was poorly lit & busy and there were several individuals waiting to pay at the machine. My daughter & friends were excited re birthday treat so headed across to the venue whilst I tried to sort out my ticket. My turn eventually came to use the machine, I didn’t have their app so couldn’t pay using this as didn’t have enough signal to download. I have Ringo & Just park.
I paid for two hours as was planning to leave just before 9.00 p.m.
Sadly one of my daughter’s friends became unwell & almost passed out, I called her dad & waited with her until he arrived to collect her. I was ten minutes late getting back to my car which wasn’t intentional. Today I received a fine for £60 with photos of me arriving & leaving.. to the last second. This is such a con, you shouldn’t expect to have to factor in the time waiting in the queue to pay as part of your parking time? Appalling service will never park here again. Be warned… they take every split second if it takes 10 mins in a queue to get a ticket … they’ll fine you anyway… avoid at all costs
Awful parking experience, great customer service to resolve.
Looking through the previous reviews, my experience is either an outlier or luck. I pre-booked for parking in Frenchgate, Doncaster as I was heading to London overnight.
Super-confusing that there is two separate parking entities in the same car park. One for the shopping centre and one for the rail car park. I pre-booked shopping and parked in rail. I thought something was up, sent an email to Evology and a super-helpful person called Val advised me what I'd done thankfully. Otherwise I'd have driven off and received a fine.
So paid for parking when I exited at £27 but had already paid £15. Sent Val an email and showed them my receipt and held hands up to the mistake. They refunded my £15.
So a positive experience with the company but awful experience with the parking arrangements as they are so badly signed (or not) so that needs some work.

I had a similar experience to Anne Winder with Evology. My car was registered with Evology and the debit card number correct. I parked on 1st February at Chorley Hospital as my husband had a procedure there, and was surprised to receive an email from Evology on 6th saying they had tried unsuccessfully three times to take payment and it had failed. They gave no indication of any way I could pay the amount, and it seems were then set on issuing a PCN. During repeated email contacts with their ‘help’ they asserted that after each of three attempts (which we found on their site made on 4th, 5th and 6th) an email was sent for us to reenter the debit, but we received no such email until the one on the 6th by which time they deemed it too late to pay. Our bank confirmed that no attempts to take payment had actually been made. From other reviews their IT system seems as faulty as Horizon. The hospital car park section was helpful and cancelled the payment, but really hospitals should not be using companies whose faulty IT systems put stress on sick patients and their families.
Beware misrepresentation/alternative location without advice.
I tried to book parking at a hotel in Milton Keynes as this company said they held the parking franchise. After downloading their App and putting in the hotel address, which the App accepted, some instinct kicked in and when I zoomed in further it was about to take payment for parking in Newport Parnell. This, in spite of them clearly showing the correct address in their toolbar. What a con. I contacted their so called customer service detailing the issue and they responded by asking for my car registration number! I responded a couple of times but received zero response. I contacted their hotel directly and found that Evilogy were not even the parking operators. Very misleading information by Evology and no hint of an apology.
Admitted it was their fault i couldn't pay but still fined me
Parked up. Went onto the app - it would not allow me to enter the vehicle registration so wouldn't take payment. I whatsapp the helpline and they confirmed the app had glitches and they were trying to fix. I emailed asking how to pay via an alternative method. There is no number to call. I emailed a 2nd time. No reply. I whatsapped again and just got auto response. I was late for meeting so ran to meeting. Nobody got back to me until 2 days later and then said it was too late to pay. THere were no machines in the car park. All of this is confirmed, in writing, and they confirmed themselves that there was no way to pay. Still got £100 fine. Appealed with the whatsapp messages, emails all as proof of my attempt to pay and their confirmation that it was impossible to pay. But refused my appeal.
The car park was impossible to reach
I pre-booked parking but the car park was impossible to reach. Based on the postcode provided by Evology, sat nav tried to take us to a completely different street and indicated we had to walk to the car park!
When we used a map instead of sat nav, we kept being met by buses/cycles only, and so were driving around in fruitless circles for a long time. We ended up parking elsewhere as otherwise would have been late.
Evology did not provide any information about directions to the car park, which are definitely needed as neither sat nav, nor humans, can find it.
Evology have refused to refund my payment. It feels like a scam and I would completely avoid this company.
Really poor customer service
Really poor customer service. I paid £15 for parking at a hotel but then was told by the hotel it was free for 3 hours. I stayed 1.5 hrs and contacted evology for a refund as advised by the hotel. After 3 days I heard back via email and evology states they do not process refunds and that the signage in the carpark was clear - it wasn’t . I have requested this is escalated but don’t hold up much hope given the poor quality of the response.
Total waste of time
Total waste of time. Wanted to just pay after waiting 4 hours for my appointment at John Ratcliffe Hospital. Does not allow payment via website so have to download another rubbish app that I hope I never have to use again. With no choice for anything else, I downloaded the app. Put in all my details but then when I tried to enter reg number it would not go any further, I kept trying all different ways with no success!! Left with no choice i had to drive to another car park as that was only one with a pay station. No spaces to park so just had to dump my car with hazards on and finally make the payment of £8.00!!! For 15 minute appointment that took me almost 4 hours through no fault of my own. Absolutely appalling!!!

No record of receipts for parking at Doncaster railway station £27 but o cannot claim it back absolutely shocking service do not trust this company they are awful I will not park at the Ftenchgate ever again!

If I could rate this company less it would be minus 100%. They are an absolute shower. We parked in Pilgrim Hospital the cost £2.59 which should have been automatic payment. What a joke it didn't work ! So for the past 2 weeks have been trying to pay it and contact them Numerous e mails, they did reply to 2 saying to update details on card and account. Umm 4 times updated Account unaccessible from their crabby app. So today we get a £60 fine notice.!!!!! Your company is the pits and service to sort things out and app are diabolical. !!!!!!
