Terrible product and even worse customer service
I bought a Waydoo Subnado to use on a snorkeling trip. On the very first use, the unit stopped working, refused to turn off, and started emitting a strong burning plastic smell. It became so dangerous that the resort staff forced me to leave it behind for safe disposal as a fire hazard. I even have their official letter confirming this.
I contacted Waydoo expecting a serious company to take responsibility. Instead, I faced contradictions, blame-shifting, and denial of warranty. At first, they told me a replacement was approved and ready to ship, then they changed their story and accused me of “user error.” They even offered me a repair quotation for a unit that no longer exists because it had to be destroyed for safety reasons!
Result: no refund, no replacement, no accountability.
My snorkeling holiday was ruined, my trust in this company is gone, and they have lost me forever as a customer.
In my opinion, a brand that ignores such a serious safety issue and treats customers this way is absolutely untrustworthy. I will resolve the matter with Amazon, where I am confident I will receive a full refund from a serious company.
Avoid Waydoo.
