Please DO NOT order items through this company!!! I wasted 45 min on phone; they said I had to register to order, so I did. Then they could not order the item they listed! They said they didn't have the item I wanted (I could see it on their webpage). So, they sent me to a similar item and kept me on the phone an additional 15 min. It was a complete waste of time and I never got the item! I will NEVER order anything from them in the future. Really? How hard is it to sell a customer an item you tell the customer on the phone that you have and they want to buy? For School Specialty it is apparently too difficult!

This is really sad. I ordered one item (a bottle of ink) and got something completely different (a dozen of playground rubber balls). I called the number provided on packing slip (the slip that actually indicated that ink was sent), but got an automated message stating that everyone is at a staff meeting. So I called a number provided on the website. A cheerful customer service rep picked up, but never said what his name was. He told me that I would have to call a different number, at a location that was closed for the day (as if I didn't suspect that they weren't actually at a staff meeting). I filled out an online claim, but never got a confirmation. I hate to say this, but this experience left me wondering if I am dealing with a bunch of scammers. I don't want to waste my time on them, will enjoy the dozen rainbow-colored playground balls, and will NEVER do business with this company again. The sad part for me, the customer, is that I doubt that they will actually care.

Unfortunately, this was a great company to order from that has gone downhill. Orders are weeks behind, customer care is lying to customers about ship times, emails are not being responded to, wait times on the phone over 20 minutes. Supervisor assures me that the misinformation, wait times and email situation is being addressed, they just had more orders than they could handle and there was nothing that could be done. It seems to be one more company that has grown too fast and is failing.

I ordered school supplies my kids are ready to go back to school on Monday and no supplies yet I called last week and spoke to someone they assured me that they would get hold of the warehouse and I would get an email the same day up till now no email I called today and they have the nerve to tell me that I have to wait couple weeks again for my order, can u believe these people might I add this order was placed at the beginning of August I always do online shopping and it never ever take this long to get my items they showed no type of remorse and I would never or recommend anyone to shop with School Specialty ever. They are the worse I had to cancel my order and go to the store to shop with my newborn.

I have ordered from School Specialty for many years and have usually been satisfied. This year however I am deeply dissatisfied. I attempted to order supplies on July 27th but was not able to at that time. I was going on vacation to an area with little to no service so had to wait until 8/3 to do so. I placed the order for an academic camp that would begin on 8/13. I called on 8/13 because my tracking info was still reading "in process". When I spoke to the rep. (who was very nice) I was told it would be another 14 days before I received my order. This was due to heavy order volume. REALLY?? A company that supplies SCHOOLS should be ready for heavy volume in AUGUST!!!

Website is really not good to use as I was not given a receipt of all items ordered, only a web order number. Difficulty with company.
