Contracts are standard practice across all professional industries—whether you’re a footballer, actor, singer, dancer, or model. They exist to clearly define responsibilities and expectations for both parties.

A signed contract is a binding agreement. It means both sides have committed to specific terms. If one party breaches that agreement, the other has a legal right to seek remedies.

At Eclipse Model Management, every model must sign a contract. This is a requirement set by the industry regulations that govern us. The contract protects both the model and the agency. It enables us to invest in the model’s development, which includes professional photo shoots, video showreels, catwalk training, and more.

In return, we expect commitment. We only work with individuals who are serious about pursuing a modelling career and understand the value of the resources and time invested in them.

We also take a refundable deposit from each model, returned upon successful completion of the agreement. In your case, you willingly signed and agreed to all terms, then chose to abandon your obligations—assuming you could simply walk away with no consequence.

However, we would like to clarify a few key points regarding misconceptions about our agency. First and foremost, we are one of the UK's biggest, best and most diverse fashion modelling agencies and so we do not really care about negative reviews. Here are the reasons why we are that good of an agency:

1. We have received numerous positive reviews and maintain strong relationships within the industry. While we recognize that not everyone will be satisfied, the overwhelming majority of our models have had positive experiences.

2. As a fully Government regulated and controlled fashion agency, we operate with complete transparency. Our practices, contracts, model payments, and overall operations are overseen by regulatory bodies. If we were engaged in unethical or fraudulent activities, we would not be allowed to operate.

3. Our Instagram showcase the esteemed companies we work with, demonstrating our credibility within the fashion industry.

4. Every model accepted into our agency receives two professional photoshoots with images airbrushed and retouched in Milan, Italy, a professional video reel, and catwalk training from an experienced model with international runway experience. These benefits are guaranteed, and we encourage anyone interested to visit us and see for themselves.

5. Some negative posts label us as a scam without providing any specific details or evidence. In many cases, these claims stem from misunderstandings or unrealistic expectations.

6. We charge a refundable security deposit starting from £100. This deposit is returned to models who follow our simple guidelines. If any model has followed the rules and not received their refund, we welcome them to come forward with their name so we can address the issue.

7. We invest up to £3,000 in each model and take a 20% commission from the work they secure. Unlike photography studios that charge large sums without offering work opportunities, we actively seek jobs for our models.

8. While top agencies like Storm, Premier, and Elite have strict height and size requirements, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive agency that offers opportunities to a diverse range of models.

9. While we strive to support and promote our models, we acknowledge that no agency is perfect. However, we are dedicated to providing the best possible opportunities for those who work with us.
