Hi everyone

Hi everyone
Recently received an email from this company to pay them the remaining amount of the money or they take legal action against me. Is there anyone else who has the same problem? Have you paid anything? Have they taken any action? I spoke with Citizens Advice and my current job regal advice, they said do not pay anything. Please tell me your how it ended up with you.

Minus 1 Star Rating. Do Not Engage With This Comp

Review websites really need to have a minus 1 rating. Please anyone that reads this DO NOT believe this company. No modelling agency should take money. Now out of pocket by £1500. BIG red flag - Their reception has a sign saying do not speak to others who are waiting in the reception area. Highly unprofessional. I really hope they dont make matters worse and just cut and paste their usual reply to me like theyve done with previous reviews.

Dear customer,

Thank you for your recent post and for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied and would like to take the opportunity to clarify a few important points regarding the services you received.

Package Selection
Based on our records, you selected our top-tier package, which included:

A minimum of 50 professionally retouched photographs

A personalised video showreel used for client submissions

Eligibility for catwalk training

These services are specifically designed to provide aspiring models with the tools needed to present themselves professionally to potential clients and agencies.

Value of Services Provided
The tools you received — including high-quality imagery, video content, and training — are essential in the modelling industry. Comparable services can often exceed £4,000 at traditional studios, many of which do not include video reels or training.

Work Guarantee
Please note that no legitimate agency or training provider is permitted to guarantee work. This is in accordance with government regulations and industry standards. While we support and promote our talent, final hiring decisions rest solely with external clients.

Regarding Payment
We want to clarify that Eclipse Management did not directly charge you to "become a model." Any payments made would have been processed through a third-party company that provides the production and training services. We encourage you to review your contracts and bank statements to confirm the recipient of your payment — our company name will not appear there.

Industry Expectations
While it's true that agencies should not charge for representation, it is common (and often necessary) for aspiring models to invest in their portfolios, showreels, and training. Just as professionals in other fields pay for education or certification, models must also prepare themselves to compete in a very selective industry.

Next Steps
We regret that your expectations were not fully met. As a gesture of goodwill, we would be happy to offer you an additional photo shoot or updated video reel at no extra cost. This is something within our control, and we hope it helps to further support your career development.

Please feel free to reach out directly if you would like to arrange this or discuss anything further.

Kind regards,
Eclipse Management

Please Beware of sc@m from this so-called company

I attended a modeling session with this company and had a very negative experience. I was pressured into taking a higher job board, signing paperwork without being given enough time to properly review it, while being told misleading information about potential work with well-known brands. I was then asked to pay a £50 deposit, and before taking the payment, a staff member even asked if another £50 could be added, which felt like an attempt to push me into paying more.
There was also a sign in the waiting area instructing people not to speak to each other, which raised concerns, and several others at the session voiced similar complaints. To this day, my £50 deposit has not been returned.
Afterwards, I was sent a threatening email claiming I was in breach of contract and demanding a further £950 to be paid after 11 months, with warnings of legal action if I refused.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others not to work with this so-called sc@m company and be extremely cautious when dealing with this company.

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for your feedback. We've noted that you've referred to Eclipse Model Management as a “scam.” Naturally, we take serious issue with that label and feel it's only fair that we provide clarity, not only for your sake but for the benefit of anyone considering working with us.

We would like to address a few common misconceptions that may lead to such accusations:

1. We Are Government Regulated

Eclipse Model Management is a Government-regulated agency and works under the guidelines of the Department for Trade and Industry (DTI). If we were not operating lawfully, we would not be permitted to trade. Our compliance and transparency are part of what set us apart.

2. Work Is Not Guaranteed by Any Agency

We understand that some may feel disappointed if work doesn’t come quickly or consistently. However, no agency — not even the biggest in the world — can guarantee work, as bookings are made solely at the discretion of clients. Our job is to put our models in the best possible position to succeed — the rest is up to market demand and performance.

3. We Co-Invest in Our Models’ Success

Yes, there are upfront costs — and this is standard industry practice. In fact, we often invest up to £3,000 per model toward:

Professional, airbrushed photography

High-quality video showreels

Model & catwalk training

Ongoing advice and agency support

These assets are essential for a model’s success and are tools clients look for when casting. We believe it’s unfair to set someone up for a professional career without giving them the tools to succeed.

4. We Honour Our Agreements — and Expect the Same

In some cases, individuals receive their photos, showreels, and training — then break their payment agreement or cease contact. When this happens, and we reach out, we're accused of being a “scam.” We understand financial difficulties can arise, and we are always happy to discuss flexible solutions. But labelling a business a scam because of a contract dispute is both unfair and misleading.

5. We Offer Unique Guarantees

Unlike many in the industry, we guarantee that our models will:

Receive the full creative package

Be offered opportunities, including participation in our Fashion Show

Have their money returned if our terms aren’t honoured on our end

Few agencies are this transparent or accommodating.

In Conclusion

We know modelling can be a competitive and emotional industry. We’re not perfect — no agency is — but we operate with integrity, professionalism, and transparency. We invest in those who invest in themselves, and we make no promises we can’t keep.

We respect that some people may feel disappointed, but we urge everyone to do their research, read our agreements, and make informed decisions.

If you’re still unsure, that’s okay — we’re not for everyone. But if you’re serious about modelling and ready to work hard with a real-world understanding of the industry, we’ll be glad to meet you and help you take your first steps.

Scammers

I attended Eclipse Model Management in July 2024 and was pressured into signing a £1,000 “Elite Board” package after paying £100 upfront. Soon after, they threatened me with breach of contract and legal action unless I paid the remaining £900.

They instructed me to pay the balance into a different company, PK Studios Ltd, which is a dormant company at the same Croydon address. My bank (Revolut) blocked the payment as suspicious.

I have since reported them to Action Fraud and the Employment Agency Standards Inspectorate. After challenging them in writing, they backed off and said they wouldn’t contact me again.

Please be cautious — in my experience, they relied on pressure and legal threats rather than genuine modelling work.

Extremely Disappointing Experience

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Unprofessional and Unfair

II want to share my very disappointing experience with Eclipse Model Management.

From the start last year in July 2024, I felt pressured into joining the Supreme Board, even though I wanted to downgrade to the £100 board. Eventually, I gave in because they told me I could pay in instalments, with payment due on 10th October 2024.

When I realised I could not afford it, I emailed them on 11th September 2024 to explain my situation and then followed up with a phone call. The lady I spoke to reassured me it would be fine, but I never received any written confirmation.

I emailed again on 10th October 2024, but got no reply. Despite this, on 27th June 2025 I received a welcome email from Alex (Model Booker). I had already contacted him on 14th June and forwarded him all my previous emails. He even told me to follow up with Eclipse about downgrading, which I did on 27th June — but once again, no one ever responded.

Throughout this whole time, none of my emails were answered, and no one picked up the phone when I called (including yesterday and today).

Then, to my shock, I received a threatening email on 27th August 2025 accusing me of breaching my contract and warning me of legal action unless I pay in full. This is despite the fact that I have:
• Sent multiple emails going back to September 2024
• Tried to resolve the matter fairly and in good faith
• Never received a single job or opportunity from Eclipse

This experience has left me feeling scammed, pressured, and completely unsupported. I would strongly caution anyone considering working with this agency to think very carefully before signing anything.

You decide if you think this is a company you want to work with.

EDIT: Eclipse have asked Trustpilot to remove statements from the above (which were all true) but to ensure this review is online I have re-worded some of the content.

2ND EDIT: I have sent the details of the County Court Judgment against Eclipse to them stating that Eclipse owe us the money claimed. To date they have not complied with the CCJ and have not reimbursed us the monies owed. Great initial experience

I have just joined Eclipse on their Supreme board, and so far, the experience has been great. The people I met were professional and friendly. They took top quality photos of me, which were followed by a session with a videographer who took me outside, and created several reels of me showing my versatility and prowess.

I then received catwalk training, which was very productive (I learnt quite a bit, and the trainer gave useful tips regarding walking, posing, etc.).

I am now waiting for my airbrushed images and final video reel, and I look forward to securing my first modelling roles thank to Eclipse.

Hello,

Thank you for your comment.

You’ve stated that you are being taken to court for wanting to terminate your contractual agreement with us, claiming you have not received any services. We’d like to take this opportunity to clarify how contracts work and why they are essential in our industry.

Let us explain:

Contracts are standard practice across all professional industries—whether you’re a footballer, actor, singer, dancer, or model. They exist to clearly define responsibilities and expectations for both parties.

A signed contract is a binding agreement. It means both sides have committed to specific terms. If one party breaches that agreement, the other has a legal right to seek remedies.

At Eclipse Model Management, every model must sign a contract. This is a requirement set by the industry regulations that govern us. The contract protects both the model and the agency. It enables us to invest in the model’s development, which includes professional photo shoots, video showreels, catwalk training, and more.

In return, we expect commitment. We only work with individuals who are serious about pursuing a modelling career and understand the value of the resources and time invested in them.

We also take a refundable deposit from each model, returned upon successful completion of the agreement. In your case, you willingly signed and agreed to all terms, then chose to abandon your obligations—assuming you could simply walk away with no consequence.

Unfortunately, that’s not how contracts—or professional life—work.

At Eclipse, we are committed to supporting driven individuals who respect the opportunity and want to build a successful modelling career. No one is forced to join us. But once someone chooses to do so and signs a contract, we expect them to uphold their commitment—just as we do ours.

Thank you for reading.

They are scammers.

They are scammers, threatening to sue a teenager if she doesn't pay £1000.00 to sign a contract. This is very true and I can link the letter they sent to her on here if need be.

Thank you for your feedback. While we respect your right to express your opinion, it’s important that readers are given the full and accurate picture.

1. Allegation of Exploiting Teenagers
You’ve mentioned that we “exploit teenagers,” implying unethical conduct. As a Government-regulated agency, we strictly follow guidelines that protect young individuals.

Anyone under 19 is required to attend with a parent or guardian.

If someone is 18 or over, they are legally permitted to make decisions and sign agreements as an adult. If they tell us their parent is informed and comfortable with their decision, we proceed based on that assurance.

It is not reasonable to blame us for a parent's absence if they knowingly allowed their child to attend alone.

2. Use of the Term “Scam”
We take accusations like this seriously. If we were operating fraudulently in any way, our license would be immediately revoked. The term “scam” implies criminal behaviour, which is not only false but legally defamatory.

3. What We Actually Provide
We are not simply a studio. As a full-service agency, we provide:

Professionally retouched photography

A high-quality video reel

Catwalk training

A platform to showcase a model’s skills

Ongoing development and guidance

Most importantly, we only earn when the model earns—via our standard 20% commission. Our focus is long-term representation, not one-off transactions.

4. About Contracts
Contracts exist for a reason. Whether you're a model, actor, footballer or musician, once you sign a legally binding agreement, it must be honoured.

This ensures we can plan work, events, and shows with certainty.

If models could walk away at any time without consequence, the agency—and its opportunities—could not function.

We do not harass or pressure anyone into signing. Every person is free to decline.

5. Closing Thoughts
We understand that not every model continues with the path they initially chose. That’s life. But when you enter into a contract, it comes with responsibilities—on both sides. If you later regret that choice, it doesn’t mean the agreement becomes invalid.

Comparing it to a non-refundable flight: If you book but don’t fly, is it the airline’s fault?

If you are the individual we believe you to be, we are currently liaising with Trustpilot to confirm this so we can respond further in the appropriate legal context.

We genuinely wish you well, but we encourage all reviewers to share their full experience with balance, fairness, and responsibility.

Further reply to the edited review

To begin with, we do not dispute that your child may have received a formal letter from us outlining potential legal action. However, it is important to clarify the legal framework under which we operate and the responsibilities of all parties involved.

Age and Legal Capacity
If your child was 18 or 19 at the time they visited our agency, they were legally entitled to sign a contract in their own right under UK law. If they were between the ages of 13 and 17, we are not permitted to proceed with any agreement unless they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. This policy is non-negotiable and strictly enforced as part of our obligations as a government-regulated agency.

Therefore, to properly address your concerns, we respectfully ask:
How old was your child at the time they visited us?

Parental Involvement
When individuals aged 18 or 19 attend appointments alone, we always ask whether a parent or guardian is aware or available. In almost every case, we are told that their parents are informed but unavailable, and that they have full authority to proceed independently. If they confirm this clearly and confidently, we proceed—again, in accordance with legal standards.

Kind regards,
EMM Management

Dear Sambath,

Thank you for your post. However, it’s important to be completely transparent with readers and address a common misconception.

A model not securing work is not a reflection of a scam. No reputable agency can guarantee work for any model—because ultimately, agencies do not control who gets hired. That decision lies with clients, and casting choices depend on many factors beyond anyone’s control.

What we can guarantee are the services that are fully within our control, including:

Professionally airbrushed and retouched images

Images where the model serves as a blank canvas suitable for diverse client needs

A high-quality video reel, which many clients look for

A platform to showcase additional skills that may appeal to potential clients

Comprehensive catwalk and modeling training

Our role is to equip models with the best tools, training, and presentation possible so they can be competitive in a tough industry. If offering these services is misunderstood as being a scam, we respectfully disagree.

We understand the frustration that can come from not landing work quickly, but that does not mean the support system in place is invalid.

Kind regards,
EMM Management

Complete scam

Complete scam, signed a contract for the year with the exception of getting my money back at the end. You don’t get any feedback from the company after applying for things, it feels like they sign you and forget about you. So now I’m 1k down because they are saying because I didn’t apply for some jobs myself I don’t qualify for the refund. Despite me looking for each month they said I did apply and they just wasn’t anything available for my description or I already applied for. Do you guys want me to send things just to waste by mine and the photographers times? Also they gave a whole speech about them not caring about the money and how they don’t even want it to begin with. Well that all changed now

PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP to EMM

My Fiancée signed up with Eclipse Model Management last year. They may look like a professional organisation with their facilities & webpage, however their pressure tactics, demanding that you sign and pay on day, and not honouring contracts for so many people is disgusting. They even emailed her at the end of contract stating she had met all her Terms and conditions and that they would pay back her refundable deposit of £1,500. Since then they've ignored ALL requests to pay her back.

They also use a tactic that you need to be very aware of. Once you've signed, they will tell you that a company (could be M&S, Next, ASOS etc) are very keen, but its between you and one other. They then say that you need additional photos to be taken which will cost an additional £500 or £1000 in some cases . But there's still no guarantee you will be selected. Having researched this practise more. I've been told that this would not happen. Its just their way of getting more money out of you. We've realised our mistake but the Contract is also very dodgy. The front page has "Eclipse Model Management" but the signature page is headed "Portfolio Kings" - this makes contract void. DONT SIGN.

They also give fake names. Like Mr Jacob

They will no doubt reply to this with their standard reply as you will see. However if you don't trust this review, please do some research, talk to other organisations and agencies to check out these practices.

I recommend in addition to searching the internet, that you contact BFMA (British Fashion Model Agents Association) Employment Agency Standards or Trading Standards to confirm whether or not these practices are legitimate . Also Gov UK "your rights as an Agency Worker" . Look for ACAS Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service.

For anyone else who has already signed a contract or been cheated out of their Refundable deposit. Don't give up. Contact Action Fraud, Trading Standards and Croydon Council . If everyone complains the noise will get louder and these organisation will have to follow up.

“Breach of Contract — Same Company, New Name”

In 2021, I signed up with Your Model Management, which is now operating under a new name, Eclipse Model Management. I paid a security deposit (amount not recalled) and then £500 to be placed on their “board” for job opportunities. Later, I was promised a job related to Stormzy and paid an additional £300 — this job never happened.

According to the contract, if I received no jobs within the year, I would be eligible for a refund. I did not receive a single job in that time. However, when I requested my money back, they refused, stating I had “broken the rules” — despite the contract stating the refund would apply if no work was provided.

I feel misled. Paying nearly £800 and receiving no work is unacceptable, especially when the contract promises otherwise. It’s important to know that this company is now using a different name but appears to be run by the same people.

I strongly advise others to be cautious. A legitimate agency should not charge upfront fees to offer you work, and should certainly honour the terms of their own contract.

I do not recommend this agency to…

I do not recommend this agency to anyone looking for transparency and respectful treatment from the very first interview.

I went to the agency and had a few basic photos taken. After that, I had to wait a long time before someone came to speak with me. The interview itself was very drawn out, and before it even ended, I was told I had to pay a minimum deposit — immediately — just to proceed. Only after that, they said, would I be shown payment package options.

There was no transparency at all. I had to insist just to see what the packages were — they clearly didn’t want to show them upfront.

The man conducting the interview was especially unpleasant. He spoke in a very rude and irritated way, particularly when I asked for clarification. At one point, he asked his assistant to explain things because I “don’t understand his English,” which felt insulting and disrespectful.

The whole atmosphere made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and I just wanted to leave. When I politely refused to pay the deposit, I was told, “Don’t be a model then,” and that I “couldn’t handle the stress.” That kind of judgment from someone who doesn’t even know me was totally inappropriate.

Very disappointing experience. Avoid this agency.

Bad Faith

A few months ago, in December 2024, I was invited to an interview here. It went well, I paid the £100 initial deposit, fine. I was then offered to sign, and told I would have to pay a further deposit. I chose to go for the £1500 board. I was told obviously sold this really over-the-top dream which I believe to be fraudulent but cannot support claims on, so I won't pursue that. My friend, who is a model, warned me the next day of some people's experiences, like in these reviews, with Eclipse, and that most agencies will not ask for an 'investment'. Again, I am not here to criticise, as I will be met with the same response of 'requires an investment'. I don't care. What my real issue is, my contract had a termination clause - it required 30 days notice. I gave notice the day after I signed, in email, in writing. It included no provision of my deposit not being refundable when termination, and under English law, terms cannot be imposed after contract. It is reasonable to expect a deposit back when terminating. I was reasonable, as well, and stated that if they could evidence any actual losses from my signing, I would be happy to have it taken out the deposit, but there wouldn't have been. I had had no resources spent on me in one day apart from the FREE photoshoot, and nothing had been set up for me.

Victoria used pressure tactics, telling me I had no right to terminate, that I would not receive my deposit, that they would take me to court for damages. I kept responding professionally, that I knew of my rights, and referenced my notice given, and when it was given. I was never provided a refund from Eclipse itself. Victoria kept trying to confuse me, initially telling me I could terminate, then when I kept pushing, snapping and threatening legal action, that I could not terminate. I acted in good faith and did not act in a way which was not in accordance with the limits set in my contract until termination was properly in effect, 30 days later. I kept pushing, and then Victoria went radio silent on me. I have never heard back from Eclipse.

I got a chargeback, which defaulted as Eclipse, unsurprisingly, did not respond. I do not care if the services they provide are fraudulent, and I could not prove so, but what I do care about is the horrendous ethical nature of this company, and how they attempted to convince me I had no rights or did not know what I was talking about. They did not know that I am a Russell Group Law student, clearly, and therefore know where to stand my ground, and what my rights are.

I advise anyone not to engage with this company. If Eclipse wants evidence of this as they have threatened defamation to others, I would be happy to provide. If people do go ahead with this company, I cannot stop you, but please exercise caution and learn your rights. However, I would say do not engage under any circumstances. This is not an ethical company, and they operate on the doctrine of bad faith.

Dear Niamh,

Thank you for your feedback. We acknowledge all reviews, both positive and negative, and appreciate the opportunity to address any concerns. However, we would like to clarify a few key points regarding misconceptions about our agency. First and foremost, we are one of the UK's biggest, best and most diverse fashion modelling agencies and so we do not really care about negative reviews. Here are the reasons why we are that good of an agency:

1. We have received numerous positive reviews and maintain strong relationships within the industry. While we recognize that not everyone will be satisfied, the overwhelming majority of our models have had positive experiences.

2. As a fully Government regulated and controlled fashion agency, we operate with complete transparency. Our practices, contracts, model payments, and overall operations are overseen by regulatory bodies. If we were engaged in unethical or fraudulent activities, we would not be allowed to operate.

3. Our Instagram showcase the esteemed companies we work with, demonstrating our credibility within the fashion industry.

4. Every model accepted into our agency receives two professional photoshoots with images airbrushed and retouched in Milan, Italy, a professional video reel, and catwalk training from an experienced model with international runway experience. These benefits are guaranteed, and we encourage anyone interested to visit us and see for themselves.

5. Some negative posts label us as a scam without providing any specific details or evidence. In many cases, these claims stem from misunderstandings or unrealistic expectations.

6. We charge a refundable security deposit starting from £100. This deposit is returned to models who follow our simple guidelines. If any model has followed the rules and not received their refund, we welcome them to come forward with their name so we can address the issue.

7. We invest up to £3,000 in each model and take a 20% commission from the work they secure. Unlike photography studios that charge large sums without offering work opportunities, we actively seek jobs for our models.

8. While top agencies like Storm, Premier, and Elite have strict height and size requirements, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive agency that offers opportunities to a diverse range of models.

9. While we strive to support and promote our models, we acknowledge that no agency is perfect. However, we are dedicated to providing the best possible opportunities for those who work with us.

10. We understand that our agency may not be the right fit for everyone. If a model chooses to work with us, they can be assured that we will do our utmost to support their career.

Regarding Negative Reviews
While we respect differing opinions, some negative reviews are based on unrealistic expectations or personal grievances rather than factual concerns. For example, we once received a complaint stating that we "made someone’s girlfriend cry." The modelling industry is highly competitive and demanding, and while we offer support, success requires resilience.

Additionally, some negative reviews come from individuals who have never visited us or are affiliated with competing businesses. We encourage anyone with concerns to engage with us directly rather than rely on unverified online claims.

Who Should Not Apply
We want to be transparent about the types of applicants who may not be suited for our agency:

• Models who expect all services to be free.

• Models unwilling to invest in their professional portfolio but still expect high-end retouched images.

• Individuals who mistakenly associate us with a previous agency that operated from our location.

• Models who break contractual agreements yet still expect their deposit to be refunded.

We appreciate your feedback, if you have any concerns, we encourage direct communication so we can address them appropriately.

Regards
Eclipse Model Management

FROUD, avoid them

17.01.25 I arrived at the invitation of the agency for an interview.
After the first photo shoot, I had an interview with Mr. Jacob, who informed me that I had passed the selection and sent me to a second photo shoot.
After that, Mr. Jacob and the agency employee checked my gait on the podium and offered to sign a contract.
Before paying £100 I asked again if the agency guaranteed me a job.
Mr. Jacob and the employee assured me that the job would be provided in any case.
I paid £100, signed the contract and asked Mr. Jacob what would happen next.
He replied (it was Friday) that he would call on Monday and gave me an email address to which I was to send more of my photos.
Many Mondays have passed since then, and I have not received a call.
Today, 07.03.25, I called and asked what was going on.
Mr. Jacob replied that his agency did not owe me anything and would not provide me with any work, because I paid little, only £100 ...
Firstly, this is a gross violation of clauses 3.1; 3.2; 3.3 of the Model Agreement dated 17.01.25.

Secondly, this looks like fraud, and information about this will not contribute to the growth of Eclipse's reputation, not to mention. for such a trifle as human dishonesty.
07.03.2025
I didn't get any photos any refund.
Everything what I wrote - just warning people to waist there money and time.

What a joke

I went to this agency last year may thinking they will actually be a very good modelling agency but oh boy was I wrong, so they started by taking photos of me to picture and see if I had the model capability and show my skills that went really well, but when I got to the interview it was a whole another level. They said I would have to pay a £100 deposit which I had no problem of doing but then when I spoke to 2 guys that did my interview they said that the deposit can go to £1000 or more and I was sooooo shocked and then that’s where I didn’t want to even consider making my move in signing the contract and the refund was no true at all.

Please avoid this it’s for your own good!!
