Abbiamo preso a noleggio all' aeroporto di trapani una Picanto per 6 giorni, pagato 320 euro e 200 bloccati su carta di credito.
Alla signorina che ce la consegna chiediamo se dobbiamo pulirla prima di rilasciarla e ci risponde di no.
Alle 6 di mattina riconsegnamo le chiavi dentro una cassetta perché il personale non c'è a quell'ora e il giorno dopo mi arriva una fattura di 150 euro che tratterranno dalle 200 perché sui tappetini c'era un po' di cenere di sigaretta
Premetto che ho nolleggiato altre 6 macchine all' areoporto di Palermo e abbiamo sempre fumato e mai nessuno ci ha addebitato dei costi per questo.
ECH la sconsiglio vivamente anche perché ci avrebbero dovuto dire che nell' auto c' era il divieto di fumo.
Mi sento truffata da questa compagnia per niente seria

Rented a car for 9 days at €220, only to be charged an extra €82 for a 2cm scratch on the front tyre cap that was already there when I picked up the car. I have photos of the car but unfortunately not of the tyres — a mistake I won't make again.
What makes this particularly dishonest: if the "Damage Matrix" policy means damaged parts get replaced, why was the car handed to me with pre-existing scratches all over the body? Clearly, they collect damage fees from every customer but never actually repair anything. It's a revolving money machine.
Their business model is simple — advertise low rental rates, then squeeze extra fees out of customers on return. Read the reviews here and you'll see a clear pattern.
My advice: If you still choose to rent from ECH, photograph every single millimetre of that car — tyres, rims, bumpers, all of it — before driving off the lot. Better yet, just avoid them entirely and rent from a company that operates with basic integrity.

Ladri!!! Mi hanno addebitato un costo senza aver fatto nessun danno . Ma la cosa più vergognosa è stata che al momento che ho riconsegnato la vettura , il Signor Riccardo , dimostrando con le fotografie fatte alla consegna , che i danni erano esistenti, mi ha risposto : tanto abbiamo la sua carta di credito . MOLTO GRAVE.

Da premettere che mi hanno addebitato un costo di 357 euro solo perché avevo la carta di credito in scadenza il mese dopo, di cui 110 euro persi, con una franchigia di 200 euro. Avevo prenotato una polo, mi hanno rifilato una dacia sandero. Auto ritirata alle 22 la sera al buio, tra l'altro con diversi danni. Guarda caso alla riconsegna mi hanno contestato un danno invisibile e impercettibile. Risultato persi anche i 200 euro. Dire vergognoso è poco. NON AFFITTATE AUTO DA QUESTE PERSONE. MAI PIÙ

Se potessi neanche questa, pura truffa, sottratti quasi mille euro per danni non visibili e assicurazione farlocca ; la cosa più imbarazzante è che si aprofittano di gente che parla poco l’italiano e oltretutto se si contatta la sede nessuni sa nulla , ti invitano a scrivere a chi di competenza senza ottenere alcuna risposta. Voor het toerisme in Sicilië zou dit bedrijf zo snel als mogelijk failliet moeten gaan. Als Sicilië wordt geassocieerd met de maffia dan is dit bedrijf een schoolvoorbeeld.

Ho noleggiato un auto per 3 giorni all'agenzia di Cinisi (PA), la navetta è stata puntuale all'aeroporto, i ragazzi che lavorano li sono tutti giovani, pratici e gentili. Segnano insieme a te, sul modulo, eventuali danni che ha la macchina al momento della consegna in uscita per poi confrontarla in entrata. Mi sono trovato veramente bene e rinoleggerò con loro sicuramente.

At Verona Airport, the ECH location in industrial area where a shuttle picks you up, they have intransparent pricing structures and high charges for very low coverage, lets you pay double for insurance, the staff is uninterested and it took three employees to retrieve the rental car booking and hand out the keys. The deposit was 400€ and upon return, it took over 3 weeks to receive it. My advice: Book with another rental company

Sembrano gentili e disponibili al ritiro poi quando vai a riconsegnarla diventano fiscali e adducono motivi futili pur di farti pagare un sovrapprezzo - a me hanno trattenuto l'intera cauzione (750 euro) fino a che non ho dato l'autorizzazione a prelevare 61 euro non per un danno ma perché il cerchione posteriore sinistro era sporco di fango e non potevano vedere eventuali danni - dopo averla lavata e constatato che non c'erano danni hanno comunque trattenuto i 61 euro con la motivazione che la macchina era stata usata su strade non asfaltate- sono fondamentalmente dei truffatori - sconsiglio vivamente il noleggio con questa società

Do not be persuaded by the few good reviews to rent a car here. We were foolish enough not to research this properly beforehand. Their questionable practices become crystal clear, especially if you arrive in the dark:

1. You are given a car with numerous obvious existing damages;
2. In our case, it was even a white car (never accept a white one);
3. Those obvious damages are only marked with tiny dots;
4. You then return the car — in our case in the middle of the night;
5. You have to leave the key in a locker, because no one is there to inspect the car with you;
6. The next morning, suddenly there are all kinds of “new” small damages according to them;
7. These are not visible in the photos, supposedly on the roof (even though we barely drove the car, it was parked most of the time, and not in a place where objects could fall onto it), yet they still add hefty charges;
8. Then they charge hundreds of euros, which are deducted directly from your credit card deposit.

Mistakes we made as consumers, and specifically in our case:

1. We did not read the reviews beforehand, where this form of deception/theft is frequently reported;
2. Upon pickup, we did not insist that someone thoroughly inspect the car from top to bottom with a strong lamp;
3. We did film the car the next day in daylight, but due to the many large existing damages we checked, we were not detailed enough to capture every tiny spot;
4. Upon return, we did not insist on someone being present to inspect the car immediately with proper lighting together;
5. As a result, the car remained parked for hours overnight, during which anything could have happened or been done by them, creating damage that may not have existed at all;

In court, this would likely not hold up unless there are extremely clear 24/7 camera recording with no blind spots focused on the vehicle.

We were traveling with four families. Everyone had rented cars, but from other companies. For example, Sunny Cars — which, according to another family member, always works well. None of the other families had any damage. This is despite the fact that they ended up driving us everywhere. They parked in cities like Florence and Lucca and at beach resorts along the Ligurian coast.

In short, a very questionable situation. Do not fall for this company’s practices. Warn others as well, and do not let these kinds of operators get away with such antisocial behavior.

Ho noleggiato una macchina tramite DiscoveryCars con il ritiro all'aeroporto di Pisa presso ECH cio non vuol dire che sono in possesso di biglietto aereo A/R. Sembra che sia un requisito.
Senza visionare il voucher pagato online, al desk subito mi ha chiesto il pagamento di ±128€ come tariffa (weekend) per poter retirare la macchina, alludendo che erano i termini del noleggio, se nn, di rivolgermi altrove.
Non disposta a pagare costi nn previsti nella offerta già pagata a DiscoveryCars e da chi spero un rimborso sono rimasta a piedi.

They are trying to scam us. Upon rental I deliverately resigned from the second drived as my husband is 75 and there was no need to add him - I am experienced enough to drive myself all the time. Upon return on Thursday Aplril 30, despite my objection (it can bee seen that this was added/ corrected) there was a note made in the return sheet that I allegedly had unauthorised driver (my husband was with me all our journey, he did not drive a single mile - I was the only driver) and charged me with 200 euro (actual no deposit return). Irrespective of that they also kept the money they charged with my credit card, which was not ultimately used for rental and did not return it after I made payment and deposit with my debit card. The car was returned on time, without any single scratch. Today I got mail with "charge for unauthorised driver". Shitty scammers greedy for money. Looking for Italian lawyer.

Da evitare assutamente. Truffa legalizzata. Fate fare i video da loro e fareveli spedire, guardate attentamente ovunque, vi fregano in ogni dove. Se potete evitate

Hanno una politica assurda, se non hai il volo di ritorno lo stesso giorno che riconsegni l'auto, sei obbligato a fare un'assicurazione di 50 euro al giorno e la motivazione e' ancora piu' assurda per prevenire i furti.
Quando dici che non vuoi farla diventa di 35 euro al giorno.
Un punto a loro favore e che ho potuto annullare la prenotazione senza pagare e mi sono cercato un'altra compagnia sul momento.

We werden snel en netjes opgehaald (shuttle service) bij de airport bij een ophaalpunt. Het pand waar de auto's stonden was netjes en het personeel heel vriendelijk en professional.

Invullen van de gegevens ging snel en de auto die we meekregen was nieuw en nog nauwelijks gebruikt. Hele fijne auto en goede afmeting (parkeren etc) en zuinig in gebruik.

Het inleveren van de auto ging heel gemakkelijk en wij werden op verzoek bij het treinstation afgezet.

Top ervaring, goede auto en vriendelijk personeel. Ik raad het aan! 5*****

Moja wina – nie przeczytałem opinii przed wynajmem. Firma ECH jest nieuczciwa. Sam proces wydania auta wydawał się profesjonalny, mimo późnej pory i sztucznego oświetlenia. Pracownik skrupulatnie zaznaczał rysy na 2-letnim aucie (ok. 40 tys. przebiegu). Zrobiłem własne zdjęcia, a pracownik potwierdził, że będą one brane pod uwagę w razie sporu.

Przy zwrocie nagle "odnaleziono" dwie mikroskopijne kropki na szybie. W nocy, przy odbiorze, były niemożliwe do zauważenia gołym okiem. Jednak na moich zdjęciach z dnia odbioru (robionych dobrym aparatem) widać wyraźnie, że te uszkodzenia już tam były! Pracownik odmówił konfrontacji zdjęć na miejscu, twierdząc, że to sprawa dla biura.

Firma zastosowała perfidną taktykę: najpierw zwróciła depozyt (co sugerowało akceptację moich dowodów), a po kilku dniach bezprawnie pobrała pełną kwotę za "naprawę" (305 EUR) bezpośrednio z karty. Ignorują maile, wysyłają tylko automatyczne potwierdzenia. To zwykłe wyłudzenie i "chowanie głowy w piasek". Takie metody noszą znamiona przestępstwa. Ostrzegam wszystkich – te "kropki" to ich stały sposób na dodatkowy zarobek, co widać też w innych opiniach. Plac pełen nieużywanych aut poza sezonem powinien być dla mnie sygnałem ostrzegawczym. Zdecydowanie odradzam!

La chica que te atiende te dice que la fianza te la devuelven 7 días después, y no es así, porque he reclamado y me han respondido por email que demoran un máximo de 30 días para desbloquear ese dinero. Para cobrar son muy rápidos, pero para devolver NO.

Y la ha llamado y ahora me dice que son 10 días (sin contar sábado y domingo). Cuando el día de la entrega del coche me.dijo 7 días.

Es decir te dicen una cosa que no es verdad. No me parece bien.

Worst car rental experience in 20+ years.

We arrived 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time, and our prepaid reservation had been canceled. The receptionist (showing no empathy whatsoever) made us pay for a new reservation that was 1.5 times more expensive for a lower-category vehicle, even though the car we had already paid for was, of course, still on the lot. Our original reservation was not refunded.

Very bad experience,

The person behind the counter was extremely unpleasant and unfriendly.

As their was something wrong with the card of the driver the passenger wanted to give the correct payment card. She refused and forced to rebook adding extra costs.

Car was very dirty on the outside, it was not cleaned at all. we received an extremely old and dirty baby seat at the counter as they forgot we booked it.

As we arrived at the airport there was a small dent in the door. The person who controlled car ( very friendly person ). even mentioned not to worry as we had the insurance.

One day later we got a mail that they are charging 290euros for the small dent.

They are doing their best to scam their own customers. I suggest you book with another agency, I'm never booking with them again.
