Finger weg von dieser Autovermietung! Das ist Abzocke pur!! Wenn man keine Zusatzversicherung, zu der Vollkasko abschließt, finden die Mitarbeiter Kratzer!! Wir haben das Auto übernommen und mussten schon mal diskutieren, weil wir keine Zusatzversicherung wollten .. unfreundliches Gerede und Verhalten! Das Auto hatte bei der Übernahme zahllose kleine Dellen und Kratzer, die wir fast alle entdeckt haben. Nicht so einfach, weil das Auto nicht makellos sauber war. Die Übergabe geht schnell schnell, nur nicht zu viel Zeit verschwenden, denn so könnte man ja jeden Schaden finden. Abgesehen von den vielen Dellen und Kratzern, war das Auto zum Fahren in Ordnung. Bei der Rückgabe wurde gesucht und nachdem man nichts gefunden hat, was wir nicht dokumentiert hatten, haben sich die Mitarbeiter im Büro besprochen und haben dann plötzlich nach einer Blitzsuche doch noch einen Minikratzer auf der Heckscheibe gefunden ... da fragt man sich, ob die sich im Büro beraten haben, was für Schaden schon vorher da waren ... denn der Minikratzer war so klein und nicht sichtbar, dass man den einfach niemals entdeckt hätte, wenn man nicht genau gewusst hätte, wo man suchen muss ... weiteres ist es sehr unpraktisch, dass die Autovermietung nicht direkt am Flughafen ist, man ewig auf einen Shuttle warten muss. ein absolutes NO GO!!! Das ist Betrug. Man sollte den Versicherung sagen, wir es dort zugeht, denn der MInikratzer wurde mit Sicherheit nicht reparert, aber kassiert natürlich schon! Schade!

Terrible la experiencia. Buscan los pequeños problemas para cobrar de más. El coche no tenía bien el A.A. , los asientos delanteros manchados y el cristal por dentro muy sucio. No llevábamos una tarjeta física para el depósito y me obligaron a contratar su seguro ( 100 € más que lo pactado por la mayorista). Al devolver el coche, pese a ser A todo riesgo , nos dijeron que no incluía llantas, cristales, bajos y embellecedores....todo para buscar cualquier rayita y poder quedarse con el depósito.

after reading so many poor reviews I thought I should leave a more positive one! I booked through VIP cars so knew the amount shown was only for the car hire and was expecting to have to pay for 2 car seats when I arrived at the desk - so a £53 rental for 4 days went to £125 - still very good. the guy at the desk explained the insurance - that I didn't have any insurance so he recommended I buy theirs. I informed him I had my own policy and he was quick to ask if it was through the broker. When I informed him it wasn't and id done it myself independently because I hire several cars a year, he was happy with it and didn't try the hard sell. so id recommend doing excess cover through a company separate to the car hire booking.
picking up the car was quick enough - they go round it with you and you both need to point out all the damages - our car was pretty beat up and I took around 30 pictures of every angle - which proved valuable on my return when they used the bit of paper in the office to show them the damages and one spot was not marked, they were obviously going to charge me for it but I showed the images and it was all ok.
so if you book through these, protect yourself - make sure you have a credit card in the same name as the main driver - they hold 1000 euros which was then released a day after returning the car.
make sure you take lots of pictures of the car before driving away and make sure you get a decent excess cover, purchased away from the car broker.

Easy car hire in Sicily. Picking up the car was quick and simple with helpful people at the desk. The return procedure was efficient also.

Achtung!!! Bei der Rückgabe wurde ein klitze kleiner Kratzer nach 10 Mintuen gefunden. Er wurde angeblich von uns verursacht. Leider haben wir kein Bild, da sich der Kratzer unten hinten rechts an der Stoßstange befindet und auch nur gegen das Licht sichtbar ist. Also normale Fotos reichen nicht aus!!!

Ils nous ont signalé une micro rayure sous le bas de caisse arrière invisible même sur les photos que nous avions prises au départ. Comme par hasard, pour la restitution le gars a mis 15 min à examiner la voiture alors que pour un van arrivé après nous, un autre gars a mis 2 min.
Pour ceux qui voudraient économiser 20e sur leur location auto, cela ne vaut vraiment pas le coup, ou alors faites un million de photos et même des sous bas de caisses en zoomant. C’est une honte Une vraie arnaque, mieux vaut prendre Hertz ou Avis, cela ne nous est jamais arrivé en 20 ans de location auto !

Sono dei truffatori, probabilmente pensano di avere sempre a che fare con i poveri stranieri che facilmente vengono raggirati. Addebitano costi per graffi ed ammaccature già esistenti. Per quanto mi riguarda sto già raccogliendo adesioni per una class action per vie legali.
Sono trent’anni che prendo auto a noleggio e non ho mai incontrato una società così poco seria. La sconsiglio vivamente a chiunque.

Personale gentile e professionale. La nuova sede ha dato un valore aggiunto all'attesa, sia pur breve, per il ritiro dell'autovettura. La riconsegna è stata veloce come anche il trasferiento in aeroporto.

Vorsicht! Betrüger! Bei der Rückgabe wurde von dem unfreundlichen Mitarbeiter am ohnehin schon vorab demolierten Fahrzeug krampfhaft ein Schaden gesucht, den ich NICHT fotografiert hatte. Obwohl klar erkennbar war, dass der so gefundene Schaden lange vor meinem Mietbeginn entstanden sein musste, versucht das Unternehmen, mir den Schaden in die Schuhe zu schieben. Nie wieder! ..und falls doch jemand den Mut hat und dort mieten möchte: UNBEDINGT genaues und komplettes Video von dem Fahrzeug machen!

I had a very unpleasant experience renting a car from this company. At the airport, I was charged €300 simply because I did not have a physical credit card, even though I provided all the necessary details and documents.

When I returned the car, they later sent me an invoice claiming a €30 charge for a “new damage” — a small mark on the tyre that could very easily have been there before my rental.
Overall, the experience felt unfair and poorly managed. I do not recommend ECH Rent a Car, and I will certainly never rent a car from them again.

I've rented cars for years all over the place and never had a problem with my weird (yet totally valid!) Italian driving license.
This time, though, these so-called gentlemen forced me to upgrade to the premium insurance, more than tripling the rental from €150 to €442, alleging that my (totally valid!) driving license had expired and, therefore, was not valid.
I needed a car for my trip, and a last-minute change would have meant that I would have lost both the 150€ of my reservation, on top of whatever a new rental with another company would have cost me.
Absolutely criminal behaviour.

DO NOT TRUST and look elsewhere. They're cheap for a reason
