This sight was thorough and helpful, asking all the questions that my former "paid" service asked. It was easy to use, took a lot less time to get the same result as the paid service, and even helped me with a problem submitting. All for FREE!

They advertise getting your EIN number…
They advertise getting your EIN number within 24 hrs been 3 days still haven’t gotten it my card got charged 4 times for $315 yes they reversed it but I haven’t received what I paid for

I am very sorry for the confusion with this. These were not "random charges", rather, it looks like you were not eligible for our free software due to the distributions that you received according to your 1099-R. Now, the distribution code on your 1099-R required that a 5329 and Schedule 2 was filed with your tax return. The IRS required additional tax on that early distribution and these forms are only available with our Premium software which costs $49.99. I apologize for the confusion with this but your filing situation was not eligible to use our free software.

Even though you made $50,000 in income, you could still owe taxes if you under-withheld during the year. We requested information from you so that we could help determine what caused this, however, you did not respond to our requests. Without looking at your filing specifically, the most likely cause is either under-withholding or incorrectly entering your tax information.

I did a simple basic 1040SR return; procrastinating, I did it within minutes on the 15th; easy... and I'm sure even if I had other forms, it would've been just as easy! And there was no fee 👍

They ripped me off
They ripped me off. The pay1040 company they use will take you money and dissappear, no way to talk to a human. It is a scam. Do not use these companies.
If there was an opportunity to speak with a representative this would not have happen. I was unable to contact this company. Thay have NO customer service to handle any complaints or issues.

IRS.gov has a “how to pay with a credit card” webpage here- https://www.irs.gov/payments/pay-your-taxes-by-debit-or-credit-card that lists Pay1040. I’m sorry you had a poor experience with this company, but we have no relationship with Pay1040 and we do not direct users to their site.
