Never arrived or very late( bus number 13 ) there's something wrong everyday.

Nothing worse than using the TFI app to plan a journey with Dublin Bus

Last night Tuesday 12th November 2024, I had to be in Dublin city centre at 8PM. Arranged to get a number 37 at my local stop which was showing to arrive at 1920. I was at the stop at 1920, then at 1921 the bus disappeared off the app and as far as I was concerned, it became one of the many "Ghost Buses"
OK, I understand operational issues can affect everything, but just disappearing off the app makes no sense leaving customers stranded

I waited in the freezing cold for the next 37 which was to arrive at 1940, but it was 200 before it arrived, leaving me in the city at 2045 ... so much for using public transport, absolutely unreliable service

I can't praise highly enough the Dublin Bus driver on the C4 bus this morning

I got on the bus at the stop just before the M50 slip road northbound

Got the last bus on Wednesday night on 23/10/24. The bus driver said hurry up it the last bus, proceeded to close the door on my arm and laugh. I’ve never left a negative review anywhere but this man was disgusting. Fire him

If there was a way to rate it as a negative, I would. Hands down the worst public transport service anywhere in Europe for a major city. Utter garbage and zero accountability!

I'm at the bus stop for the 37 Castleknock bus, and 3 buses have already been cancelled at 7:30 in the morning. This is absurd for the people who pay to use the bus. Every day at least 3 buses on the 37 Castleknock bus line are cancelled. Dublin bus is horrible

Where do I even begin…
It all started last night. I was done work around 7 and patiently waiting for the bus. It comes in about 7 mins no problem with that! HOWEVER, we only made it two stops before the bus lights started to flicker. The bus stopped at a traffic light and all lights turned off and the engine would not turn on anymore. The bus driver was empathetic when asking everyone to get off so he could call someone to get it fixed. Nothing was done for the people that had to get off, no bus was sent to replace this one which was full. Everyone had to go to the closest bus stop which was at the end of the quays. The C1/C2s that get to the end of the the quays at any time of the day tend to be full and there was simply no room for anyone to get on. Everyone was just kept waiting and I had to get two extra buses to get home, a journey that should have taken me 40 minutes lasted over two whole hours. Absolutely disgusted!!!!
This was followed by this morning where I was supposed to open my shop at 9:30 and was waiting at my stop at 8am to get in early. A bus was scheduled for 8:05 which got cancelled at the very last minute when everyone was waiting at the stop. This was followed by another bus scheduled for 8:20 showing up 20 minutes late, again with no warning of the delay until the last minute before the bus was due. It’s a joke to have this sort of public transport in Dublin especially in areas where people frequently travel into town from. Dublin bus truly deserves 0 stars for punctuality scheduling and service.

i had the most loveley bus driver on my 123 today, sweetest soul he said thank you and goodbye to every last person who got on and off, had such a genuine conversation with him we really do need more drivers like this he was absolutely wonderful to speak to

Absolute trash of a service. Every time they are late, always. Often don't even show up with no updates to the garbage app they use. And then we are supposed to say thank you? For what exactly? Rude drivers? Absolute tardiness? Making people late for work over and over again? I have lived in 3 countries and have never seen a more chaotic and garbage public transport. Worst part is they don't care, no one cares to even try to fix it. How much taxes did we waste on such a terrible transport?

Worst bus service in Europe, dont turn up and no notice there not coming consistently late if they do. Whoever runs this should be fired immediately

If I could rate no stars I would drivers are treating people like dogs

TERRIBLE you can’t use a card and they declined our cash even though the driver told us they took cash the day before. not everyone has a leap card, dublin is literally a CITY where tourists will be using public transport!! horrible service they’re so miserable

Bus 69 from Red cow luas

Tried to take the bus and the driver rushed us on before we could buy a ticket. Started driving and I asked if they accept card, says only cash. I didn't have cash and he reluctantly let us stay on as it was a short drive. The driver was dangerously driving through a red light on top of that.
We tried to get the same bus again the next day, using cash this time. The SAME Driver was there and I said I had cash to buy tickets. Now he says they don't give change. Absolute joke of public transport. Clearly the donkey is used to people only using the bloody leap card or whatever so the customer service is terrible. Very rude to us despite the prospect of public transport requiring exact change is pretty absurd. It's not even public transport at that point. Used freenow to get a taxi because at least then I get the service I need. Avoid buses in Dublin.

Absolutely horrible. bus is never on time. I’m always late for work because the buses will just cancel at the last second. I live next to the first stop of the bus and I just see it parked there not moving or anything. This is terrible and needs to be changed.

me he would wait for me to top it up, quickly got off the ticket machine was right beside us only look me 20 seconds next thing he sees me coming he closes the door on my face i knocked on door and he drove off, now i have to wait 2 hours for next bus it was an 84 this happened in bray, he was an old man of a bus driver with balding grey hair very rude should be fired too old to be working

Can there be a fine for people who purposely choose to take their feet out and put them on the public chairs ? Disgusting

No show for the 7am bus from university of Limerick to Dublin, no email of cancellation and when the 7:30 bus arrived he said there wasn’t a 7am bus from UL for a long time so timetable not up to date , off to a very poor start, definitely would not travel this way again oh and no air con and condensation and body sweat odours strong, finally a beeper was dinging all the way to Dublin obviously some sort of warning button they could not sort - terrible

Too bad you can't put 0 stars. I've been living in Dublin for 22 years and I think Dublin bus has reached such a level of inefficiency that it's embarrassing . One example: this morning,waiting for a bus from Fairview to go to Eden quays, fro mwhere I had the catch a coach for Kilkenny at 10.30. Was at the bus stop before 10, there are at least 5 different buses passing through this bus stop, there wasn't one until 10.12. Arrived in town just in time, almost missed my coach, because of a journey that took 25 mins instead of 15. I can't count how many complaints I made already about your service. You're a disgrace, and an embarrassment for a capital city.
