Fun and Well-Structured Course
I had a desire to learn about photography for a long time and came across DSLR Photography Courses recently. I was a little nervous when I signed up for 'Intensive Beginners Course' as I knew nothing about cameras but it turned out to be a great fun day, learning all the basics with a small group of friendly people who share the same interest.
Our tutor delivered the course at the right pace and paid attention to each of us, so I felt at ease throughout the day.
I'm very happy I chose this course and would like to take further courses with them!

Very good course
Really good one-day intensive introduction to photography. It was great to get to know what all the different knobs and buttons on my camera are for and to learn how to use them to produce different kinds of photos. Lots learned, and lots of experimenting to do.

Great one day course covering all the…
Great one day course covering all the essentials for using a DSLR on manual mode. Aga created some fun exercises for the group to do, demonstrating the use of the camera at different speeds and F stops. I spent my youth taking photographs on an SLR and needed a short course to refresh and this really hit the mark. Thanks!

Highly recommended for beginners!
I did the one day intensive DSLR course here and highly recommended! As a complete beginner, Georgia was very patient and explained everything in terms I could understand. The course was engaging and fun, and as it was a small group, it’s easy to get any one on one support you need on the day. We all had different cameras but every one had the functions of their own individual cameras explained! The prices were so reasonable compared to other places, and in my opinion, it’s worth way more! Can’t wait to do another course!!!

Second course with DSLR
I recently had my second course with DSLR (a 3rd is already booked). This course concerned street photography and the elements you need to consider when looking for the special picture. The course leader was excellent. He walked us around Waterloo and the Southbank area opening our eyes to the photographic opportunities and giving tips as to how to capture the images we were after.

Great experience with my 1 to 1 with Robert Irving in the centre of london. Learned a lot as I was a novice when I started and can now use my camera in manual mode.

I attended my course with pretty much no knowledge. While I did a photography A level, that was about 15 years ago and I hadn't picked up a DSLR since and I don't even remember learning in manual...
Our teacher Giorgia was patient, friendly, knowledgeable and informative. The class size was perfect, enough people to bounce off of but not too many that it was overwhelming. I actually enjoyed doing a group class because everyone was there for a different purpose and I found it interesting learning different settings for everyone's specialised photography interest.
The class was paced nicely, with a variety of different exercises including indoor and outdoor work. I feel a lot more comfortable with my camera now and most definitely understand what I am doing shooting in manual at a basic level. A few days after my course I managed to shoot some really nice pics at a 1st birthday party, also of my dog and a cat on the street that was a willing model! I also have more understanding of lenses too and different photography techniques.
All in all, great course and experience. Would be encouraged to book further training, whether it be editing software training or a one-on-one for the field I wish to get into.
Added bonus they offered some snacks, tea and coffee.

Yes, I think it is a big bonus for everyone that we do small group - limit them to only 6 participants, and on some courses to 4 only. This way we can concentrate more on individual needs and spend even more time practicing.
Super good that you are already putting the knowledge in to practice :) I too like to photograph my dog Misty and occasionally he will model well!
If you would like to learn more - I would highly recommend our Creative Practice sessions as well as the Intermediate course.

Excellent Course!
I had an excellent time on the Beginners course on 30th of October. It was a brilliant course and the size of the group was perfect. I enjoyed all of the tasks and I've learnt so much in regards to photography and my own camera. I went on holiday a couple of days after and I'm so happy I managed to fit the course in before I left as I went to several nature reserves and areas to take photos of scenery and wildlife, particularly birds. I enjoyed it a lot more and I have absolutely no doubt that the results are better! Roland was a fantastic course leader and he made it a really fun and productive session. I will defintiely be back for another course! Thank you.

Invaluable
My partner and I had a private tuition session with Roland which was honestly brilliant. We arrived with very limited knowledge (typical ‘all the gear and no idea’) and learnt an incredible amount through theory and practice. Roland was very knowledgable and passionate about teaching us as much as possible (from best practices to answering all of our questions).
