Website offers to either just download the driver or to download the drivermax application. Both links just download the app (so lying/fraud).
Once the app is installed there is no way to download the required driver from the website (again, lying).
Could be helpful for some but only for missing or currently faulty drivers. For all else it is bloatware. DO NOT 'UPDATE' CURRENTLY WORKING DRIVERS.

I have had DriverMax for a year or two. I just upgraded to a 2-year subscription. DriverMax just crashed my laptop. It installed a incompatible driver that doesn't belong on this machine. I know this because I went through a tech analysis for over 10 hours today. We tried many things, slowly narrowing it down to: a storage (AHCI) driver that DriverMax installed (envirtahci.sys) is unsigned or mismatched, so Windows refuses to load it during boot. I am happy to send you the transcript of the support session but I can't attach a file to this message. If you need to see it send me a way to get it to you. You should see it. Maybe you can fix your defective product.
On Dell Inspiron systems with AMD chipsets, StoreMI / “AMD Virtualized AHCI Controller DEV_7901” is not supposed to be present unless special RAID/acceleration software is installed.
DriverMax forced an incorrect “virtual AHCI” driver onto your system.
This cost me a lot of time and aggravation. I am going to uninstall DriverMax because of this. As a result I think you should refund my subscription price. It was only $9.56. I wish I could get more for the "Pain & Suffering" your product caused. It locked up Bitlocker, wouldn't accept the Bitlocker Recovery Key. I thought I was needing to wipe the drive an re-install everything from scratch.

DriverMax advertises a supposedly free version. If you try to use it, it asks you to register before it will update anything. Registration attempts with working mail addresses always fail with a message "Can't send registration mail". This problem persisted for a month now, with various valid addresses.
Support answered only with "check your spam folder" in spite of the error message stating that no mail was sent.
So effectively, the free version does not work at all and appears to be a means to force you into paid subscription in order to do anything.

I started to update drivers with DriverMax. Many of them sent message "Installed" but in the main window there is a status "Wait the installation is in progress". And this message is still the same after 1.5 day(!)
And the final straw: today I updated the Intel Graphic Driver with the DriverMax (of course I wrote down the old and the new driver version number). This software is not only painfully slow, but it is even a barefaced liar. It said the driver was successfully updated. I've checked the driver version and guess what. Of course the driver is the same old version. Then rebooted the PC, checked, the driver is the same. My decision: immediately uninstall DriverMax and add it to the blacklist. Case closed

6 days left on my subscription and somehow 3 unimportant drivers are failing to download and install because of server error, that is bull, I believe they are denying me because I did not renew. I mportant drivers that my anti virus and pc cleaning software say I have important drivers to download. Driver max is the worst driver software I have ever used, I have been searching my own drivers, so why should I pay them to do what they are not.

I had previously been using things like Snappy Driver Installer, Driver Talent, Etc & some of the expensive ones as well until I needed drivers for my other systems like the Dell Workstation laptop I had before its motherboard fried on me, and the older socket 1366 Dual Xeon servers I got into & could not get drivers for. I found Driver Max threw a Google search & decided to give it a try. I was able to find the missing drivers I needed on both system with ease so being impressed I could not find them otherwise I bought the program which has been a serious blessing ever since. I love the license because I can use it on up to two computers at a time. Now that I have built a new system which will most likely be my last build I am using it on here & its awesome!

DriverMax has never downloaded the wrong drivers unlike Windows 10 which disabled my wifi adapter with its forced updates which was not the right driver. Its easy to use & you never have to worry about loosing your key because you can sign in with your email & password after you install it & your ready to go! If you buy a new system & remove it from the old one you can use it again no problems unlike those ass-hats that try to recharge you like AVS...

I would highly recommend this software to anyone looking for a great program that will most likely give you a much better chance to locate those hard to find drivers you need.
