Buying is always a pleasure, despite the fact that this new book format .lcpl which is used for modern open source book readers on mobile rather shit for actual ereaders such as kindle, and some others despite this i was still able to download via a legacy option as a .ascm for use with adobe digital editions.

However even that is getting phased out its rather sad since it was easy to use calibre to slap on kindle, really its only a matter of time before this new format .lcpl gets big and it hasn't actually been cracked yet or is rather shady to do so I do actually buy the books i own so i do actually care about this, my device does change, once it does or if i fancy something else I still want my books they are mine; whatever drm legality says so I just wanted you the honest buying to be aware of this and that as of 2026/06/13 year month day, that you can seemily download the books as most of us expect for now.

This is one of the reasons I like buying from ebooks.com they seem to share a more open you read it how you will. How you like. Even though the market of ereaders is rather traditional at least from research I did before buying my kindle, unless you have a nook or a android ereader for that matter.

Also note that the download page of this site is so darn nice, re-download as many times as you like it seems though always read the book page in question to confirm author / seller does allow this, guides you though installing adobe digital editions via wine on linux!
And really goes out of there way to make it as easy as possible and though you may not find the books you are looking for there is a drm free section, so in order to keep amerzon / kindle or kobo from forever dominating, it is nice to have the ball more in our court by consumers decision's, think about music.
I can get that DRM free so im not evil, but manga, novels NO! But here we get a little closer to yes, I am unaware if anything like the market place GOG games exists for books completely DRM free the entire site, however this gets close and I like that.

Thank you ebooks.com.

The DRM is the bane of my existence

Easy to login, fill extra details. Quick payment.
All done.

Easy to follow. Found the book I specifically searched for at good price.

No friction in the purchase at all, downloads button right there at the ends of the transaction (versus waiting for an email to come with the download link).

You are fast, have had everything I wanted, and offer a much needed antidote to the Amazon monopoly.

It felt much easier to purchace a book and to access the right page that I want to read. I have been using Amazon Kindle up to now, which was good but is now frustrating to use.

Easy to purchase. I think it would be helpful to more prominently display if the book is EPUB, DRM, etc. It might help readers determine if it can be loaded to an ereader.

I had to leave the reading app and go to the website for the purchase. But, once there, I found the book I wanted immediately and purchased it without any problem this time. Suggestions for the app: in app-searches for new books and purchases without having to leave app. Also, I'd love it if I could adjust the brightness of the pages a little easier

The site is simple to use. Its so easy to locate a book or discover a new one. Delivery is instant after payment which is efficient , safe and straight forward. Your book is loaded to your ebook reader without fuss or complication. I am using it now for the fourth time and still delighted with it.

Looking for amazon alternatives and this is a good one. Plenty of selection, easy to use. Plus comes with benefit of knowing you are not giving money to bezos.

Easy and convenient, multiple file formats and ways to read as well as a good selection of books.

My experience with EBOOKS has been very positive overall. The platform is easy to use, the selection of books is excellent, and it helped me find titles that match my interests in economics and public policy. I especially appreciate how convenient it is to browse and access books quickly. The interface is clear and user-friendly, which makes the reading experience enjoyable.

The use of Adobe's DRM service and the need to create an Adobe Account deserves a flat one star rating.
Especially as there is not easy solution for Linux users.

I bought a book from a bookshop. It wasn't difficult. The price was good.

Good choice of books and software works well

It was easy to find the book I wanted and simple to download.

Their collection is vast. I love buying textbooks from them!
