If you value your health steer clear
If you value your health, I can't, in all honesty, recommend this company. Medications are forever out of stock and they don't contact you to let you know. In such cases, if you have more than one medication on your order, because one of them is out of stock, they don't bother sending you the rest. You have to chase them up to find out what's going on, and only then will they seperate the in-stock medication from the medication that's out of stock and send them to you (and they take about a week, even if you've already been waiting and they're overdue by weeks). Yes, I have waited for weeks sometimes and have to go through the inconvenience of contacting my MD to get a temporary prescription called in to my local pharmacy. It get's confusing, is a pain, and everything is completely out of sync. I'm shocked than a company like this couldn't care less whether you get your medications on time or not, like they're not prescribed for a reason. So if you value your health just steer clear of them. As for me, I've deleted all my prescriptions from my account and I've walked away from DiRx for good - it's been nothing but a nightmare (mind you, I've given them 5 months and it's only gone from bad to worse). There are so many other online pharmacies like this and I'm sure they're much better, so I strongly advise you to seek them out. Personally, I've signed up with Amazon. As my MD electronically sent my prescriptions in, they instantaneously appeared in my Amazon pharmacy account and the next day they were delivered. No such luck with DiRx!!!
Terrible
Terrible! DO NOT USE!!! After charging me and making me wait 4 weeks without my medication i finally canceled order and now they won't refund me my money!!! Said to call my bank to get it back!!!!
Used to be Reliable - Not Anymore
I've been using DiRx for three years. Things were going great up until the last six months. I ordered medications in July that I did not receive for 7 weeks. No one ever reached out to me, I had to reach out every single week to get an update and get movement on my order. Fast forward to now. I placed an order on December 16 that I still have not received. I've reached out for updates every week and keep getting told they have no idea when my medicines will ship. These are common medicines, nothing specialized. So now I've had to pay the pharmacy in addition to DiRx for medication I haven't received. Take the "ships in 3 to 5 business days" off your website because it is clearly a blatant lie.
Medication in Formulary not Provided in Timely Manner
We signed up for the year of 2024 with DiRx in January 2024. One particular medication was in their Formulary but it was not available when needed. This required us to get this critical and commonly used medication from another pharmacy and pay for it - IN ADDITION TO the fee DiRx charged for all medications in their Formulary. This happened at least two of the four ninety day periods. Totally unacceptable!
Delivery and Auto renew is very unreliable
Auto renew is very unreliable. DIRX says they can't deliver when required because of their suppliers. While DIRX price is attractive, I cannot depend on DIRX to deliver my meds
First fill good after that terrible
The first Rx was fine and speedy then from there on it was all downhill. Scripts were held up for WEEKS with no explanation. Some scrips simple were not processed until I contacted them. Ine scrip they said my PCP did not send it which I know as a fact is not true but was a tactic to cover their slowness. Today I logged into to check on the status of my script and they had closed the account down without notice or explanation. AVOID - AVOID - AVOID them
Issues trying to get refills, late meds, want customers to do all the legwork
I have consistently been having problems with DIRX every time refills are needed from the doctor’s office. The doctor’s office says they have faxed it back with the date in their records and DIRX says they didn’t get it. Then, I’m left calling back and forth trying to get it figured out and the doctor’s office isn’t comfortable sending over multiple prescriptions (which I totally get) without updated requests and I’m always told I have to call back to DIRX when the pharmacy is open for them to resend it. I’ve had to buy some from a local pharmacy the last 2 times because they’ve been late on the medications. They also send them late even when there are refills and I have to call to say I’m about to run out why isn’t it here yet? Very exhausting.
bad!
Paid for the medicine and they never shipped it. After it got cancelled, they never did a refund
Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Set up profile and added a credit card. Doctor sent the Rx. I called 8 days later and they said I didn’t have an account. Then they found it. Then they said I did and they have my Rx. It would be 7-10 business days to get it (website says 2-5). The rep somewhere not in the US said that “you can’t just have your doctor send us the prescription, you have to call us and tell us to process it, we don’t call you. We’re not like a regular pharmacy.” I told them to forget it and I removed my CC and had the doctor resend to CVS. Stay away.
medicine repeatedly not available when…
medicine repeatedly not available when needed. I paid for the annual "all prescriptions at one price" program and twice within the year the medicine was not available and I had to go elsewhere to get the prescription filled. DiRX refused to reimburse for this extra out of pocket expense. now they've delivered the medicine after i've gone elsewhere and refuse to refund
One medication frequently not available when needed
One of the medications used by my husband was never available when he needed it and it was a very important medication. It seemed that they were unable to keep a supply of it in stock. That resulted in us going to our local pharmacy to cover the shortage which, of course, cost additional dollars above the DiRx costs. We ordered 90 day supplies and at least two of those orders were not available when he needed them Not satisfactory. Needless to say, we will not be using them again.
Failed to honor their promotion
I ordered an RX on June 12th, and after a week I contacted them to see what was going on. Apparently they did not have any in stock and said that I could either wait or have the Rx partially filled somewhere else until it became in stock. I opted to leave my order open because I had a $10 off promo on it for first time order with the company. After a few weeks, they cancelled my order citing that they were still having issues getting it in stock. Today I emailed them and asked if they had them in stock now and they said yes, but they would not honor the $10 off promo from my initial order that they cancelled. They keep telling me they suspended all discount coupons. I find it to be terrible customer service that I would pay one price, only for them to cancel my order and tell me to pay a higher price. I don't mind paying the higher price on the refills, since it is still a great deal, but I find it very shady practice not to honor the deal I was supposed to get with my initial order.
No communication, problems with medication out of stock
DiRx was very efficient back earlier in 2024, then it went downhill quickly. A common medication I take became out of stock with DiRx, so it was necessary to get it filled locally at a higher price than DiRx. Next time I ordered the same medication, it was in stock but DiRx claimed my provider was not sending in the script, yet the provider claimed they were. I checked with DiRx to make sure the phone numbers I gave to the provider were correct which they were. DiRx sent me an email which also verified the phone numbers for scripts. DiRx would not communicate with me about discrepancies, or about not receiving the script, or that the medication was out of stock. I even switched doctors because I believed DiRx was telling me the truth about not receiving the scripts. If the clinic could not handle calling in a script to DiRx, then it was time to find better healthcare. After reading so many complaints, now I am not so sure who was really at fault. I eventually received an email that my medication was out of stock. Was this actually the problem all along & not that DiRx was not receiving the script from the provider?? Only DiRx knows the answer......
highly disappointed
I’m not sure what has gone wrong with DiRX this year, but it’s not good. I’ve been using them for a prescription for my dog for nearly two years and never had major issues until recently. I had a one month supply on auto-refill that always arrived early or on time. In fact, I had a surplus of pills because they would always arrive a little early (awesome!). In August, I realized I hadn’t received an order since June. Apparently the prescription was on back order and my auto refill was canceled. I never received an email or call notifying me of this. So then I had to scramble to get another order and get the prescription back on auto-refill (which also changed the original price I was getting). The last two months the order has been delayed and gets delivered over two weeks or more after the last pill has been administered. I have to call and email customer service to expedite the order each time. This is an anxiety medication that must be administered in a timely manner as withdrawal symptoms can set in if not taken after a certain amount of time. I’m so highly disappointed in DiRX. After this experience, I can’t recommend them. Yes, they are cheap, but the service isn’t good or worth the discount.
I have been a paid DiRx annual member…
I have been a paid DiRx annual member for 2 years. This last year has been completely disastrous. DiRx cannot not get medications from their suppliers and blame bulk purchasers for the problems. DiRx auto-cancels scripts. DiRx requires new scripts when they do not fill scripts on time. DiRx offers boilerplate customer service and apologies which only exacerbate the feeling of frustration when the failed commitment to complete on a contractual obligation does not provide results.
Some Confusion at the company
I usually don’t post negative reviews but this company takes the cake for poor execution. I do not recommend them.
I was trying to get 90 day prescriptions for five medications but there was always some issue, either the prescription or some internal issue.
The real problem is they never contacted me to say there was an issue either via email or phone. waited for meds to arrive only to find out there was an issue after I called. This occurred on three different occasions over a few months, each time I was told things were all set.
It’s been almost two months since I placed my first order and I still don’t have 3 of my 5 meds. I am not calling a 4th time.
On the plus side, the people I spoke with were very nice tand helpful. I just don’t think the systems on the backend worked appropriately.
unable to fill common medications and told me the issue was my doctor when really they had the prescription but were out of stock
I had a very common medication on auto refill with them. They did not refill it because they did need not have the medication in stock but I was sent no notification that they weren’t refilling it. I went into my account to figure out why it hadn’t shipped and the website stated that they were waiting on information from my doctor. I spent time on the phone to get my doctor to reach out again and they confirmed that they did. When my medication was still not refilled, I called DirX. I was informed that actually they had been out of stock for a month and they had forgotten to email me because they are a small company and have to manually write out the emails. They said it was back in stock but it would take 1-3 days to process my order and another 5-7 to ship. I told them I had run out of the medication and they stated there is nothing they can do to expedite. I immediately moved all my prescriptions to another pharmacy.
Out of stock issues
My wife and I are in the second year of the Annual Savings Plan. The first year or so DIRX was great. But then they started running out of stock and not filling orders. Several months ago they told use to get our RX's filled elsewhere while we still had open RX's with DIRX. I just spoke with them and they told me our RX's had expired and they had faxed requests to our doctor. The RX's had not expired when the orders were placed.
avoid them
Up until about 8 months ago, I would have given them a score of 5. But the last two shipments have been late, the current order I have been waiting almost 2 full months from the original ship date, and I still don't have the medications. They just keep telling me that they got a huge shipment and are behind. I don't think they realize our lives are literally on the line when they just decide to not send the medications we need. I have been out of mine now for about a month and a half.
Been using DiRX for a couple of years
Been using DiRX for a couple of years. It worked well initially but now every 90 days my prescriptions are delayed. I have had them delayed as long as 2 months. The excuse is always we are supply problems. However, they will send you an email telling you your order is being prepared but if they are out of a medication they just let your order sit there and don’t inform you. Then on top of a two month delay they decide to still send their packages USPS! Sorry we are two months behind but we thought another 7-10 days USPS delivery would add to the experience. Go somewhere else.
