It forces you to look in only a zip code area only.

I can't search my entire state, or my entire town, I have to type in different zip codes to find listings in this part of town, or that part of town, or other side of town...

HOW DUMB IS THAT?!

This company has denied EVERY Pre-Authorizations my dentist requested and now I PERMANENTLY have a mouth without teeth. IF you have a choice... JUMP SHIP IMMEDIATELY

I have been with this company since 2021 when they took over my insurance provider (local to me and very good). No other issues other than web access during the transition. Then, today I noticed my premium for Jan 2024 was not charged to my credit card. When I called them, I was told there was no record of my policy and they could not help me. They reimbursed my dentist in early Dec 2023 and they can't find my policy 7 weeks later???

I got this insurance through Markteplace. What an absolute joke. I have called all the providers on the list and NONE of them take DentaQuest. Leave it to the government to have this idiotic dental insurance!

My 14 year old daughter is with Denta Quest. I have been trying to find her a dentist for over six months. They keep giving me the runaround, saying that someone will call me to find her a dentist and make her an appointment. I am continually calling with no results. I ask to talk to supervisors who tell me they are putting it in as high priority, but still, nothing happens. I then ask for a manager, and they always come up with reasons a manager can't talk to me. I have filed a complaint; still, nothing happens. I called again today, and they said they would put it as an emergency. I said no, that's been going on for six months. Nothing happens; can I speak to a manager? Today I get, "Sorry, they are in a meeting." My daughter now has a hole in her tooth and wakes up crying. A 14-year-old shouldn't have to go through this because of incompetence. She now will probably have to have it pulled. Hopefully, this complaint will help

Their website login experience is buggy and breaks down frequently. What can be fixed on most other sites by resetting your password takes you on an infinite illogical loop. It takes forever to get a human who can fix this. How can a company not have a functional login website nowadays?! Don't they want me to pay my bill online?

Worst insurance on this planet! most of their dentists who are supposed to be in network don’t take their insurance! And whatever left they work in hospitals NOT clinics! So, imagine the wait time for an appointment! It takes at least 4 months to schedule an appointment with a dentist for an emergency!!!
And when you finally go to that appointment, they refuse to approve the pre-authorization! They make any lame excuse to refuse it. In my case they want a periapical X-ray instead of normal one! When I called and demanded to speak to a manager. They refused! They don’t even send me a mail explaining what is going on as the law required.
I don’t know who is in charge there but, I pray they go out of business soon so we don’t have to deal with those thieves anymore.

This company should be sued for all they have. As a matter of fact that is exactly what I am doing, would love others to join me for a class law suit action against them. They are scam, rode and not fit to be an insurance company.
They are handling the dental for Healthfirst and I had nothing but massive amount of stress with them. Healthfirst should change their name to Healthlast to begin with and having this Dentaquest as their dental insurance is adding to the horrible company that they are.
Long story short, Dentaquest have massive amount of dentists on their website but 70% of them do not take the insurance to begin with. The other 30% are the worst doctors you can find in the world and since they will get paid less then it actually cost the dentist for the work, then the dentists that are in network will get you in thinking your insurance will pay for it and then they will scam you with lots of other work. For example: I went to an in network dentist for a broken tooth and they said I need a root canal and a post with crown, after 2 and half hour of root canal the dentist said you need to pull the tooth and put an implant. i checked with other dentist and they all said you do not need an implant and a crown will do.
I put an appeal with Healthfirst that was approved to go to out of network doctor, called Dentaquest with the provider on the line to confirm payments that will be paid to the dentist and they said for example tooth #12 for a root canal they will pay $1,500 and crown they will pay $2,000 according to the appeal approval. After the work was done they paid $140.40 for the root canal and $160 for the crown that the dentist says its way below their own cost. Guess who is responsible for the remaining balance. Been fighting this for 10 months and still no clear answer and they keep denying everything that was promised. I can write a book on this company.

Get far away from this scammers.

With all of these one star reviews it's hard for me to imagine how this company is still in buisness and not sued for being an absolute scam. Added this insurance through the marketplace and when I went to make a payment they said I had to mail it in. I can't remember all the details but it was basically if you're this much of a pain just to get a payment through forget it let it be canceled. So why did I just get a bill for over 200 when they already canceled the insurance for lack of payment and I said go a head and cancel it? I would absolutely not add this coverage if you're shopping for it, and the fact that our lovely government allows this to be on the site shows how little they actually care about people's healthcare. From my experience and from the experience of others that I've read, they basically want your money but refuse to cover anything but basic cleanings, which if you shop around you can normally get a deal just for that.

Horrible. Finally found a dentist that took the health insurance, then he turn out to be a scam. Did a horrible job, I did not go back to get it finished. I called denta quest to have the prior authorization removed so I can go somewhere else. They claim that their Dr did an investigation and saw nothing bad was done and should go back. I got so mad. I told them I have proof. Just look in my mouth! I have pics from that day and every day after. Also the receptionist from the dentist office said I had gone for the completion of the procedure which was a lie. I am here in pain and walking around with baby teeth because I had to take out the horrible temps that he put in it that was piercing my gum. Called and spoke to a couple agents. Two sounded has if they really wanted to help, so I was glad. At the end they said they would take it off so I could go somewhere. They said it would take 2days for it to come off. I called to make an appointment at another dental office a week and some days after(today). The receptionist said it’s still on it.Called Denta Q again and they said I have a commercial insurance I would have to contact my insurance. I said what! I have been speaking with other agents and no one ever said that. After that call I did what she said and called the insurance company, they said to call Denta Q, now been trying to call them and it seems as if they blocked me. Horrible can not get through, keep saying called failed.

I only gave 1 star because there was no option for zero stars.

Absolute joke. there is a 365 day waiting period before they will approve any dental work beyond preventative cleaning. I CAN'T believe this is listed on healthcare.gov. Basically a SCAM.

I have been waiting on approval for a deep cleaning ...called and called and emailed and never gotten a response I am in PAIN 😭 my gums are bleeding several times a day and my teeth have moved and I'm just waiting in agony

DentaTrust is another name for Dentaquest. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!! MAJOR FRAUD!!!! I got Dentatrust as part of my dental plan in January 2023, but I found out you have to pay for the plan 1 year before you can use any benefits. So, I tried canceling the services sin January by going to the website at www dentatrust com but there is no way to contact them except through a phone number they provide (855) 890-3243, but every time you try calling this number you get a recording saying "We cannot assist you at this time please try again later" I've tried calling this number 75 times from January 1, 2023 to June 7, 2023. I finally had to call who I purchased the insurance from to get it canceled. THIS INSURANCE COMPANY IS JUST A FRAUD. DO NOT BUY IT YOU WILL SERIOUSLY REGRET IT!!!

I have had nothing but problems with DentaQuest I have a whole root canal and the whole back of my tooth is just nothing but filling and they won't approve crown on teeth that are missing a lot of teeth as is and that goes all the way up to the roots they are cheap they don't care about the customers just the worst experience ever they don't care about the patient they are in it to save money.

They cancelled my plan on the day it started and then lied -- I got coverage that was supposed to start February 1st. Then Received a letter saying that my coverage was canceled on February 1st due to non payment. You might be wondering, how was my plan canceled on the same day it started because of non-payment? How does that make any sense? I never received an email from them that included an invoice or asked me to pay any missing amount. Nor did I receive anything in the mail with an invoice. I called to ask why it was cancelled, they said they didn't do it and they didn't know why it was cancelled - they said the Market Place did the cancelling. Called Market Place, they said DentaQuest was the one who cancelled it. Called DentaQuest, they then suddenly claimed they could tell me why it was cancelled and that it was because I missed a payment. (A payment they never attempted to contact me about in any way.) They lied and told me that they did send an email invoice. There is no invoice to be found. I asked the rep to show me the evidence that they sent an email, she said she would send it. Still haven't ever received that email evidence. Do not get coverage with this company

This company DOES NOT cover anything except cleaning! I went to my dentist for cleaning and they said I needed deep cleaning but my insurance will not pay anything till one year. And that too only 50% at that time. Seriously?! Till then, I will probably lose my teeth and they wont care!
So I called and canceled my policy. They still charged me premium for next month. When I call, they give me a run around by asking to call DentaQuest. They say I should call DentaTrust! As a customer, why should I care if they are separate company. I just know they take my money and provide ZERO service. Finally, one customer service person acknowledged their mistake and said I will receive refund. If they do not, then I will have to call my credit card company and black list this dental company.

This company is literally the worst. They pay for basically nothing. They ONLY pay for routine cleanings every 6 months. That's it. Nothing else. Don't have a cavity. Don't need an extraction. Hopefully you're blessed with perfectly straight teeth (no child ever). I've been dealing with this company for 6 years and NOT ONCE have they surprised me and paid for a service outside of a routine cleaning. I have 3 children with a variety of dental needs. Sad and disgusting.

Nevermind how UNEDUCATED their staff is - save yourself and just pick ANY other dental insurance. Don't bother with their appeals process either - that's a complete façade.

Take me off your list it is very ebnoing seeing stupid mailers every 2 weeks on my Dad name ->

The worst dental insurance ever I have had this dental insurance gl for some years in addition, Have receive no dental care. Just about the dental offices wil not this plan i made several compliants phone calls moreover. None of concerns being addressed. I am need of dental care ASAP and l will be writing a letter to The Better Business Office

Received a call from this provider Saturday and Sunday. When we spoke the women operator enlightened me that we are on a recorded line.
She then told me my request for a crown was declined. I then asked who I can contact for more information and she sucked her teeth and hung up the phone on me.
I called back and the automatic operator said the company isn't open on the weekends.
Then who called me?
The worst costumer service EVER in a time of medical need.
