After years of not smiling because of…

After years of not smiling because of grinding, I finally have my smile back.

The process was relatively easy from start to finish, though my only gripe is that they could be better at informing you of the next appointment before you leave the one you’ve just completed.

The price was as quoted, the finish is excellent and I really appreciate the time of everyone in Dentakay Antalya.

I’m really happy with the results and would recommend them easily if asked. However due to how good the finish is, I’m not sure anyone would know I had “Turkey teeth” ☺️

Expérience terrible avec Dentakay

Expérience terrible avec Dentakay

Mon expérience avec Dentakay a été extrêmement négative et, un an et demi après l’intervention, j’en subis encore les conséquences.

J’ai subi la pose de 6 implants dentaires. Lors de l’insertion de deux implants, j’ai ressenti une sensation très intense, comme une décharge électrique qui s’est propagée de l’os jusqu’au crâne. Effrayée, j’ai immédiatement demandé au médecin d’arrêter la procédure, car j’avais la forte impression que quelque chose n’allait pas. Le dentiste, visiblement pressé et agité, a minimisé ce que je ressentais en affirmant que tout était normal et a poursuivi l’intervention.

Deux jours plus tard, l’effet de l’anesthésie n’avait toujours pas disparu : une partie de mon visage, mon menton, ma lèvre inférieure et une partie de mon cou étaient complètement insensibles. J’ai signalé ce problème à plusieurs reprises à la clinique, mais on m’a toujours répondu qu’il s’agissait d’une réaction normale et qu’il fallait simplement attendre.

Je suis retournée à la clinique pour la pose des prothèses définitives alors que la paralysie était toujours présente. Là encore, on m’a demandé d’attendre. De retour en Europe, j’ai continué à les contacter à de nombreuses reprises, mais sans obtenir de véritable aide. Le service après-soins m’a fait passer d’un interlocuteur à un autre, avec des réponses souvent automatiques et aucune solution concrète.

Aujourd’hui, après un an et demi, mon menton et ma lèvre inférieure sont toujours engourdis. Je n’ai plus aucune sensibilité dans cette zone, comme si elle était morte. Malgré cela, la clinique continue d’affirmer que le nerf doit simplement se régénérer et que rien d’anormal ne s’est produit pendant l’intervention.

Pour ma part, je considère avoir subi une lésion nerveuse permanente et je ne peux accepter que mes inquiétudes aient été ignorées dès le début. C’est pourquoi j’envisage d’engager une procédure judiciaire afin d’obtenir réparation du préjudice subi.

Je recommande à toute personne envisageant cette clinique de se renseigner très attentivement avant de prendre une décision.

Je souhaite partager mon expérience…

Je souhaite partager mon expérience chez Dentakay de la manière la plus objective possible, en distinguant clairement la qualité des soins reçus des difficultés rencontrées sur certains aspects commerciaux et de communication.

Sur le plan médical, mon expérience a été très positive. Les chirurgiens, dentistes, assistants et coordinateurs ont toujours fait preuve de professionnalisme, de compétence et de bienveillance. Les infrastructures sont modernes, l'organisation est efficace et je n'ai jamais eu à remettre en cause la qualité des soins reçus.

Les réserves que j'exprime concernent principalement la communication en amont du traitement.

Premier point : la prise en charge du second voyage. Lors de la signature du devis, l'offre était présentée comme incluant le transport, ce qui m'a naturellement conduit à penser que l'ensemble des déplacements nécessaires au traitement était compris. J'ai découvert par la suite que le billet d'avion du second séjour restait à ma charge. Plusieurs patients français rencontrés sur place avaient eu la même compréhension. Une communication plus explicite sur ce point éviterait probablement de nombreuses incompréhensions.

Deuxième point : la durée du second séjour. Le protocole nécessitait six nuits sur place alors que cinq seulement étaient initialement prévues. Après plusieurs échanges avec le service commercial, la sixième nuit a finalement été prise en charge. Le problème a donc été résolu de manière satisfaisante, mais cette situation révèle selon moi un manque d'anticipation entre les contraintes médicales et l'offre commerciale.

Troisième point : l'alvéoplastie. Avant mon engagement, j'avais demandé à connaître l'ensemble des frais potentiels susceptibles de s'ajouter au devis initial. Je comprends parfaitement qu'un examen clinique puisse révéler des besoins impossibles à confirmer à distance et je ne conteste pas la nécessité médicale de l'acte réalisé. En revanche, il aurait été utile d'être informé dès le départ que ce type d'intervention complémentaire pouvait être envisagé et entraîner un coût supplémentaire.

Enfin, certains éléments du plan de traitement ont évolué au cours du dossier. Je comprends qu'une adaptation soit parfois nécessaire après examen clinique, mais certaines modifications auraient mérité davantage d'explications et de transparence.

Avec le recul, mon expérience globale reste positive grâce à la qualité des soins, à l'accueil et au professionnalisme des équipes médicales. Les améliorations que je suggère concernent essentiellement la communication commerciale, la transparence sur les coûts potentiels et l'anticipation des modalités de prise en charge. Mon objectif n'est pas de dénigrer Dentakay mais de partager un retour constructif qui pourra, je l'espère, être utile aux futurs patients.

Life's biggest regret!!

I think the only real reviews done are the 2 and 3 star reviews.
I went to dentakay 3 weeks ago. Costs first given were very wrong. They add alot more to the original costs. With 3 different options so you obviously take the best. Then the whole procedure is so rushed over a period of 3 days. Too rushed. My teeth are so badly misaligned that I struggle to eat now. After trying to get them to help me they have referred me to a dentist in London that will cover the costs for treatment but obviously now I have to pay for transport and accommodation that is pricey there. Not to memtion the amount they charged for 3 root canals and only did one. Now im battling to get that money back. Be careful. Its not painfree and they do shaved your teeth down to baby shark teeth (even though I was told they dont). Life's biggest regret!!!

Wow!

Wow! What an experience. I knocked two teeth out and was looking at getting implants in UK. After pricing it up, it was more worthwhile to travel to Dentakay and get all my teeth fixed. Unbelievable experience from start to finish. Hotel, pick up, dentist, flights - I cannot fault anything. 5* service. Constantly messaged with updates, pick up times and to check everything is ok. My teeth are amazing! I could not be happier. Yes the price changed slightly but that was only because I opted for the premium crowns. If you are thinking about using Dentakay, you will not be disappointed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 Experience with Dentakay (So Far)

So far, I would rate my experience with Dentakay a 10/10, with just a few comments for improvement.

First, the communication with the clinic before my trip to Turkey was excellent. They responded to all of my questions promptly and thoroughly. I never felt pressured into any treatment, and they never tried to push me into making decisions I was not comfortable with.

When I arrived in Turkey, everything was very well organized. Transportation to and from the airport, as well as between the hotel and the clinic, was arranged perfectly. Communication was handled through WhatsApp, where they kept me informed about my appointments, notified me when the driver was on the way, and provided updates throughout my stay.

The clinic itself is beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean. They offer complimentary water, coffee, and free Wi-Fi, which made every visit comfortable and pleasant.

Most importantly, I am very satisfied with my treatment so far. My dentist, Dr. Sila, and her assistant, Jeren, have been absolutely amazing. They genuinely care about their patients and make sure you do not leave the clinic feeling uncomfortable or dissatisfied. They went above and beyond to help me achieve the smile I wanted, carefully discussing options and making adjustments whenever needed.

I would highly recommend Dr. Sila to anyone considering treatment at Dentakay. She is professional, attentive, respectful of her patients’ opinions and preferences, and always prioritizes patient comfort. She listens carefully and works with you to achieve the results you want rather than simply telling you what to do.

The translators and patient coordinators were also excellent. They made sure all of my questions and concerns were addressed and helped facilitate communication throughout the entire process.

The only area where I believe improvement is needed is communication between the different doctors and departments within the clinic, especially for patients with medical conditions, allergies, or complex medical histories. I often found myself needing to explain my situation repeatedly to different doctors to ensure everyone understood my medical background and treatment requirements. While everyone was professional and helpful, better internal communication would make the experience even smoother.

My advice to future patients is to bring a complete list of medications, clearly communicate any allergies or medical conditions, and make sure each doctor involved in your treatment is aware of them.

Overall, my experience with Dentakay has been outstanding. I am looking forward to returning for my second appointment and completing my treatment. Based on my experience so far, I would confidently recommend Dentakay to anyone looking for high-quality dental treatment in Turkey.

After care poor communication skills

Let me be very clear: this review is not about the doctors or the clinical team. The surgeons, dentists, assistants, and everyone involved in my treatment were professional, skilled, caring, and deserve recognition for their excellent work. I am genuinely grateful for the quality of the dental treatment I received.

Unfortunately, my experience with the aftercare department was the complete opposite.

The way I was spoken to made me feel as though I was an inconvenience rather than a patient who had already invested significant time, money, and trust in this clinic. Instead of empathy, respect, and a willingness to help, I felt dismissed and spoken down to. It honestly felt as if I had to beg for support that should have been provided as part of proper aftercare.

Good treatment does not end when the procedure is finished. Professional aftercare is just as important as the treatment itself. In my experience, the customer service I received after my procedure was extremely disappointing. I found it lacking in empathy, professionalism, accountability, and respect for the patient.

It is unfortunate that one person in the aftercare department has overshadowed the excellent work of the entire medical team. The doctors deserve five stars. The aftercare experience, however, deserves one.

I sincerely hope management reviews how patients are treated after their procedures, because no patient should leave feeling ignored, belittled, or unwelcome after placing their trust in the clinic.

Terrible aftercare, blocked bite, and ignored medical complications — BEWARE!

Before my arrival, I was informed that my case had been reviewed by a team of specialists, including an orthodontist and a maxillofacial surgeon, and that a precise modeling of my bite with individual study of each tooth would be performed. The initial treatment plan specified an abutment for my implant (the type of implant was known to the clinic in advance). Based on this information, I decided to fly to Turkey.
Upon arrival, it turned out that there was no abutment. I was told that they could not find it. The possibility of prior preparation or ordering in advance was never discussed with me. The decision on further treatment had to be made on the spot, being in another country and under limited time conditions. As a result, the initially agreed treatment plan was changed. The correction of my 6th and 7th teeth, which was one of the key reasons for my visit, was not performed in the stated volume. I got the impression that the preparation for my arrival was insufficient, despite the fact that all information about my implant and clinical situation was provided in advance.
The treatment process took place in a tight timeframe. I felt rushed and had limited space for a full discussion of decisions. When trying to discuss the shape of one of the crowns and the resulting discomfort, the dialogue with the treating doctor turned out to be tense. I felt pressure and a lack of readiness to consider alternative adjustment options. In the context of medical intervention and being abroad, this amplified the feeling of vulnerability. After completion of the treatment, the bite problem for which I originally applied, according to my feelings, was not resolved. One of the crowns continued to cause physical discomfort.
UPDATED EXPERIENCE (My Second Visit):
Hoping to find a solution, I recently traveled back to Turkey for a second visit. I openly presented my severe complaints, including mounting pain in my neck, jaw joint strain, and other clear bite disturbances. The reaction from the clinic was completely cold and dismissive. They simply stated that they "did not see any problems" and insisted that everything was perfectly fine with my teeth. To quickly quiet my complaints, they just slightly shaved down the crowns a tiny bit (shaved the surface) and sent me away. No one wanted to look deeper or investigate the root cause of my deteriorating well-being.
It was only after this visit, when I returned home, that I finally understood the terrifying reality of what they did to my anatomy. I noticed that my bite changes completely depending on my posture. If I tilt my head and lean it forward, the back teeth seem to touch. But when I stand straight up and maintain normal, healthy posture, my front incisors hit each other directly ("edge-to-edge"), acting as a physical barricade. My lower teeth smash into the thick ceramic of the new front crowns, and my back chewing teeth are left hanging completely in the air with zero contact.
Dentakay operates like a typical commercial conveyor belt. They are great at marketing to take your money, but if they mess up your jaw biomechanics, they will coldly ignore you. I am now forced to seek expensive reconstructive TMJ treatment and splint-therapy with a gnathologist in my home country to fix the structural damage they caused to my bite and my spine. I strictly do not recommend this clinic.

The whole experience was amazing

The whole experience was amazing. I cannot thank everyone involved with my treatment I had a lot of work done and walked away with an amazing smile. Alles in allem eine positive Erfahrung

Der ursprüngliche Behandlungsplan hätte nur ohne Garantieleistung von Dentakay umgesetzt werden können. Deshalb haben Sie mir einen neuen Behandlungsplan (mit Garantie) empfohlen. Für die Entscheidung liess man mir extrem wenig Zeit und ich fühlte mich etwas unter Druck gesetzt.
Was mich störte war die Organisation, Zeitplanung und das überfüllte Wartezimmer.
Ich gebe meine besten Komplimente an die behandelnden Ärzte, die pausenlos im Einsatz waren, was mir durchaus etwas Leid tat. Speziell erwähnen möchte ich meine Dolmetscherin Meryem. Sie hielt mir während der Narkose meine Hand, war sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und immer für mich da. Ebenso Leon, der mich während der ganzen Zeit unterstützte.
Jetzt ist die Behandlung sieben Tage her und ich fühle mich sehr wohl. Und ich war von Anfang an schmerzfrei. Vielen herzlichen Dank!

i had my implants done on this clinic…

i had my implants done on this clinic on istambul and i can't say ow dissapointed i am ... after they charge you in ponds exantly the same sum like in dolars and they see you distress they changend on my contract from emax crowns that i op in with zirconium ones. i sayed ok, my bad i didn't chacked last page of contract . BUT THEY are insisting to pay the same price like for emax but for zirconium wich zirconium is cheaper with over 1000 for 24 crowns . reviews are done before finishing the teeth as they are insisting like forcing you. and now i understand way you see on theyre site just positive ones.... CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER you give them the money .they are thinking they can joke with our money and time how they want . they are insisting to come on the time that they want after i let them know from begening that i can't then as i have a job . after i contact other clinic to finish the job on my teeth and they refuse to give all my data , x-rays and photos to them when is about my data and they should do my requesst as i payd for them.those was included on my price.... SERIOUSLY AVOID THIS CLINIC .....

We would, however, like to clarify a few general points for the benefit of our readers. Treatment recommendations are made by our dentists based solely on each patient's clinical needs. Any proposed modifications to a treatment plan are thoroughly explained, and the decision to proceed always remains with the patient. No treatment is carried out without the patient's agreement and signed informed consent.

Regarding the materials mentioned, E-max and zirconia crowns have different clinical indications and different unit prices. E-max crowns is generally recommended for front teeth, while zirconia crowns is often recommended for front and posterior teeth. As a result, a treatment plan may include a different number of crowns for each type of restoration. Therefore, although the unit price of zirconia may be lower, the overall treatment cost is determined by the complete treatment plan and the total number of crowns required, not by the price of a single crown.

We are also unable to verify your statement regarding your request for your records. As a matter of policy, patients are entitled to receive their clinical documentation, including X-rays and photographs, upon request, and we regularly provide these without issue.
